1シティ株 最大36%保有 米政府合意 実質管理下に

U.S. Department of Treasuary announced on February 27 that it will implement an additional measure for supprorting U.S. major bank Citigroup,whichi is now under reconstruction.For a collateral security for injecting public funds into the company, the preferential stocks up to worth 25 billion dollars (about 2.4 trillion yen) among the stocks the government now has will be changed to the common stocks which have the rights to vote in the shareholders' meeting. This means that U.S. government has a share of the Citigroup of up to 36 percent, with the government the top share holder for the company. In other words, the company will be virtually under the control of U.S. government.

企業資金繰り 支援枠4.5兆円に拡大 低利融資やCPの購入 政府検討、1.5倍に 年度末の混乱回避

The government has started to deliberate on expanding the current frame of the government's supporting the corporate fund management. At present, Development Bank of Japan Inc. is extending low-interest loans to the large and medium- sized companies and purchasing commercial papers (CPs) issued by private firms.Eyeing the end of this fiscal year when demand for fund will be increasing, the government intends to extend the current level of 3 trillion yen for loans and purchasing CPs one and a half times to the level of 4.5 trillion yen.This is aimed at preventing companies from being worried about their fund management too much around the end of this fiscal year.

来春新卒採用 内需型産業なお高水準 流通や電力 将来に備え 製造業は削減 雇用の受け皿、主役交代

It is learned that many of the domestic demand-oriented companies such as those providing delivery,electricity and financial services will continue their high numbers of employment of new graduates in the spring of 2010.Specifically,Tokyo Electricity Power and Macdonald's Japan are going to hire more employees than in 2009. Major banks like Mizuho Financial Group are likely to continue their employment of more than 1,000 people.Although they are facing head wind due to the current global recession, they all seem to secure hopeful human resources for their future prospect.Meanwhile, in the industries of cars and electric machinery hardly hit by the recession,they will reduce their numbers of employment. In these circumstances, employment in the whole industries will be declining.Then,it could be said that the areas that have greatly offered jobs for new graduates are changing from conventional export-oriented industries to domestic demand-oriented industries.

am/pm  ローソンが買収へ 150億円首都圏を強化

The second largest convinience store operator in Japan, Lawson,Inc. has decided to take over am/pm Japan,the seventh-ranked convinience store operator in Japan, The deal is expected to be the around 15 billion yen level. Lawson intends to strengthen its business in greater Tokyo area by making am/pm's stores under its umbrella,for currently am/pm has 790 stores in the area.

車制御ソフト 車・電機73社が共通化 トヨタがまず採用 開発費抑え価格安く欧州勢とも規格で連携

As many as 73 domestic vehicle and electric machinery companies shuch as Toyota and Hitachi will share with each other the softwares electronically controlling vehicle engine, brake and others.Within the year,they are to establish its standards, and in 2010 Toyota is planning to first put on sale the car with such equipment.This is aimed at curbing development costs of the car. Another effort is seen in the cooperation between the Japanese corporate consortium and European auto makers in development of new cars and standards establishment.
