The Ministry of Agriculture,Forestry and Fisheries seems to drastically revise the current pack of laws regulating farmland. Among the new measures the ministry is deliberating on, there is one in which the ministry will encourage farmland owners to lend their farmland for a longer time.Through these efforts, the ministry wants to make the sizes of farmers' managements bigger.The ministry intends to relax the present regulation of imposing restrictions on firms when they enter the agricultural market.

Concerning the digital broadcasting, the government will likely encourage the indusries of broadcasting and consumer electronics manufacturing to relax the present regualtion that recording the TV program is permitted if it is one time in order to enhance the convenience for televiewers.As to the items such as starting time and conditions for the relaxation, details will have be discussed and decided by the end of this year.

According to a survey carried out by The NIhon Keizai Shimbun, it is learned that the average coprporates' tax burden ratio of listed companies for fisacl 2005 came below 40 %-39.3%.Many companies extended their profits especially in Asian countries where tax burdens for companies are relatively small. In the background, there is another fact taht a series of restructuring efforts has been finished.

The Ministry of Health ,Labor and Welfare has decided the outline of the premiums for the new medical treatment insurance system for the elderly people aged 75 and over, which is set to start from fiscal 2008.The premium for the elderly person, whose income is average, is 6,200 yen a month, which is the standard. As to the premiums for the low-income elderly persons, necessary alleviation adjustment will be done by clasification of three categories.The least one is nine hundred yen a month.
