私は、仕事に関して完全主義だ。完全主義を自分に課し、毎日を生きることはたいへんつらいことだ。しかし、習い性となれば、苦もなくできるようになる。経営者は、完全性を追求することを、日々の習慣としなければならない。
I think I am a man of perfect policy regarding my job. It is very tough to impose perfection to oneself and live one's own life in that way every day. However, once that has been a second nature, even such a lifestyle would be easy one. I think the persons responsible for a company should seek perfection in their businesses and make that an every-day habit.

お客様第一主義を貫く：
To stick to the customer-first policy:

お客様に接する姿勢としては、お客様の召使とも呼べる位置づけを甘んじて受け入れるように言ってきた。「甘んずる」という意味は、嫌々という意味ではない。自ら喜んで、気持ちよくお客様の召使を務めるように言ってきたのである。
I have long said that you should docilely accept the position which could be said to be a servant to a customer as an attitude toward the customer. The word docilely doesn't mean unwillingly. On the contrary, I mean you should pleasantly work as a servant to the customer.
お客様の召使が務まらないようでは、どんな立派な販売戦略も画に描いた餅でしかなく、一時的に成功したとしても単発に終わり、持続的な成功を収められるはずはない。お客様に対して徹底的に奉仕をすること、これも経営の大原則の一つである。
Unless you cannot be a servant to a customer, no matter how good your sales strategy may be, it would just pie in the sky. A temporary success could be possible, but sustainable success would be impossible. To serve the customer completely is one of the principles for management.
