読書の意義
Significance of reading:

自分自身を高め、磨くために努めて読書すべきだ。もちろん、人生において一番重要なことは、実際の経験を通して学ぶことだ。しかし、読書は、それらの経験をもっと意味のあるもにしてくれる。
You should read books in order to enhance and brush up yourself. What is the most important thing in your life is, of course,
that you learn things through experiences. But reading makes your experiences more valuable.

The watershed between success and failure:

損をしてでも守るべき哲学、苦を承知で引き受けられる覚悟、それが自分の中にあるかどうか。
Whether you have a philosophy you should protect despite a possible loss, or you have a resolve to take things understanding there's difficulty.
それこそが本物の生き方ができるかどうか、成功の果実を得ることができるかどうかの分水嶺になるのではないでしょうか。
I think it would be the watershed to the genuine life of yours, or the gate where you can enjoy the fruit of your success.
