小さな花

３月２０日（土）

庭の片隅に咲く小さな花たち。皆、優しく春を告げている。

クリスマスローズ

３月１４日（日）

我家でもここ二十日間位、クリスマスローズが咲いている。

どちらでもこの時期に咲くようだが、何故、クリスマスローズという花名を

持っているのだろう？

A Christmas rose blooms at our garden for past  20 days.
Though it does not bloom in a Christmas season, 

why is the name to be called a Christmas rose ?

もう一つの水仙

３月９日（火）

先日アップしたものとは異なるもう一つの水仙が咲いた。

香りがとても高い水仙で裏庭は其の香に包まれている。

The another narcissus unlike the narcissus which we introduced  the other day bloomed.
The narcissus does the backyard with nice incense.

白木蓮

３月８日（月）

次男の結婚を祝って、その結納が執り行われた三月初旬に

植えた白木蓮。二十六年間、この時期には彼らの家庭を象徴するように

清々しい花を見せてくれる。

The yulan (Haku-Mokuren) which we planted to celebrate the marriage of our second son.
We can see the clean flower to symbolize his family at this time for 26 years.

水仙

３月１日（月） 

外壁の塗装工事が始まって暫く裏庭に行けないでいた。

その間に水仙が咲き始めていて何とまあ嬉しい事か。

職人さん達に踏まれてあちこち向いているが、早速何本か切って仏様へ。

The painting of the outer wall of our house began and we were not able to go to 

the backyard for a while.　Meanwhile, we are very glad that a narcissus begins to bloom.
The narcissus were stepped by painter  and they were uneven, we cut them promptly 

and offered them to the Buddhist altar.

木瓜

２月２６日（金）

此の木瓜は寒木瓜だと言うが、例年、寒が明けると咲き始める。

大木にならないように植木屋さんが切り詰めているが、可愛い花が沢山咲き始めた。

A Japanese quince (Boke)of our garden is "a winter Japanese quince(Kan-boke)", 

but begins to bloom when winter is over in an average year.
A gardener cut down a branch and did not become big tree,

 but a lot of cute flowers have begun to bloom.

蕗の薹

２月２５日（木） 

庭のあちらこちらに蕗の薹が顔を出している。

今日は、その内の幾つかで「天麩羅」。

蕗味噌もいいなあ。近々、ミセスマスダが作るだろう・・・。

A butterbur sprout (fuki no tou )gives a bud in many places of our garden.
We cooked "tempura" in some of those today.
The Fukimiso is also good, too. ... which Mrs. Masuda will make soon.

紅梅

２月１８日（木）

紅梅が咲き始めた。長男の結婚記念に結納の日、２８年前の２月に植えたもの、

それ以後、毎年、我家に春を届けてくれている。

A  plum with red blossoms has begun to bloom at our garden.
In commemoration of the marriage of our eldest son, we planted it 28 years ago.
Since then this tree blooms in the full bloom every year and tells  us spring has come.

福寿草

２月１１日（木）　

ミスターマスダは庭を苔庭風にしようと丁寧な水遣りを心掛けている。

木洩れ陽の下、苔の合間に福寿草が美しい。

Mr. Masuda keeps careful water sprinkling to make garden covered with moss.
Pheasant's-eye(Fukujuーsou) is beautiful between the moss under the sunshine 

filtering through foliage.

白梅

２月１０日（水）

玄関先の白梅が開き始めた。例年より一か月位遅い開花である。

続いて庭内にある二本の白梅、そして紅梅が咲けば小さな梅の苑となる。

The white plum blossoms at our entrance gate have begun to bloom.
It bloomed late for one month than an average year.

When another two white plum blossoms and  red blossoms in the garden bloom, 

it becomes the small "Baien".

椿

２月８日（月） 

我家には両親が大事にしていた椿が十二、三本ある。

年の瀬頃から咲き始め三月末位まで楽しめる。

今日は、濃桃色都白椿を。

There are 12~3 camellia which my parents took good care of in our garden.
It begins to bloom from the end of the year and can enjoy it 

until around the end of March.  Today, strong pink  white camellia.

南天の葉

１月３１日（日）

南天の紅葉した葉が美しい。

白壁に写るシルエットも中々のもの。

家に南天は裏庭の大きな樹の他、あちらこちらに６、７本あるが

全て実生である。

これは玄関前の小さな物。

The leaf which turned red of the Heavenly bamboo  (Nanten) is beautiful.
The silhouette appearing on the white wall is impressive.
There are ６~７Heavenly bamboos in my garden.
This is a small one in front of the entrance. 

All Heavenly bamboos  are plants raised from a seed.

蝋梅

１月９日（土）

蝋梅が咲き始めた。

寒中の陽だまり,美しい香りを求めて、四十雀や目白がつがいでやって来る。

"Japanese allspice plum " has begun to bloom at our garden.
"Japanese great tit sparrow" and" Mejiro" come over with pair 

for the fragrance of the plum in warm winter air.

紅葉 Ⅱ

１２月１７日（木）

いろはもみじの下、満天星躑躅（どうだんつつじ）の紅葉も日毎深まり格別の美しさだ。

ダイニングルームの大きなガラス超しに陽光に輝く数々の紅葉を眺めながら頂く食事は

幸せそのものである。

The state that autumn colors (azalea) become red under "the Iroha  maple" day by day 

is particular beauty.

The meal while we look at colored leaves shining through the big glass of 

the dining room is happy.　

いろはもみじの朱は、日増しに深まって美しさは今が一番かと・・・。

The red of the maple thickens day by day and is the best in the beauty now.

万両

１２月１３日（日）

万両の朱実も美しい、

実生で増えた万両は庭のあちらこちらに姿を見せている。

毎年、お正月用にと何人もの方に差し上げる千両は青い実は沢山付けたのに、

色付く前に姿を消してしまった。

The red fruit of "the spearflower（Manryou）" is beautiful.
The spearflower which increased by growing from a seed 

turns up in many places of the garden.
