我家の紅葉

１２月３日（金）

我家でも紅葉が始まった。

たった二本の「もみじ」だが五十年余、この季節には私達を十分に楽しまさせてくれる。

Autumn colors began to Maple at our garden.
There are only two  "maple Trees", but we can  enjoy  them enough in this season 

for more than 50 years.

野紺菊

色づき始めたレモン

１１月６日（土）

庭のレモンが色付き始めた。２００個ぐらいなっている。

今年も近隣の皆さんや友人に差し上げたい。

The lemon at our garden has begun to change color to yellow. 

There are around 200 fruits.
we want to give them to our friend and  the neighborhood this year as always.

秋明菊

１０月８日（金）  

三泊四日の小旅行から帰ると秋明菊が開き始めていた。

次男が大学を卒業した年に植えた花、以来三十年余、毎年、毎年、この季節に

我々の暮らしに彩りを添えてくれる。

A Japanese anemone(Shuumeigiku )has begun to bloom when we came back from 

the excursion of 4 days and 3 nights.  It is the flower which we planted when the 

second son graduated from a university.   Thereafter, for more than 30 years,

the flower attaches the color to our living life every year in this season.

ホトトギス

１０月３日（日）  

裏庭の片隅にホトトギスが咲いている。

地味な花場が、大写しにすると驚くほど美しい。

A toad lily blooms(Hototogisu) in the corner of our backyard.
When a quiet flower garden zooms in for a close-up, it is surprisingly beautiful.

夕顔

９月２５日（土）

ここ半月ほど、夕顔が咲き継いでいる。庭は香しい香りに包まれる。
夕顔を愛でながら過ごす秋の夜、これは贅沢な時間だ。

A Moon flower(Yuugao) continues blooming.
I feel a fragrance of the flower in our garden.  It is a luxurious time at the autumn 

to spend while looking at the Moon flower in the night.

白い彼岸花

９月１７日（金）

門扉の所、白彼岸花が咲き始めた。今年は花数が少ないようだが、

白彼岸花は珍しいので、犬の散歩の折等に愉しみにしてくれている人も多く

会話も弾む。

直ぐ近くに、白い花が咲く植物だけで見事な庭を作っている人が居るので

何時ぞや球根を差し上げたが、この秋は未だ咲かないようなので、何本か

持って行った所、とても喜ばれた。

A white cluster amaryllis(Shiro -Higannbana ) has begun to bloom at our gate door.
There seems to be little number of the flowers this year.

The person of the walk with dog along our garden watch flower and talk to me with fun.

 I gave the several white cluster amaryllis to our neighbor who favorites  the white flower.

She was very  pleased.

彼岸花

９月１５火（水）

友人と電話で話している時、外を見ていたら、花水木の下、千両に隠れて

彼岸花が咲いているのに気が付いた。

秋が美しく広がっている。

I noticed  a Red Spider (Higanbana) blooming under the American dogwood 

in our garden when I looked out while I was talking with a  friend on the phone.

It is already autumn. A blue sky spreads. I am glad.

白い朝顔

９月６日（月）

夏の名残りなのだろう、白い小さな朝顔が咲き続く。

閑に優しく咲き続く。　　

It is the atmosphere of the summer end. 

Still the small white morning glory  continues blooming  calmly at our garden.

百日紅

９月１日（水）

 

百日紅が咲いている。二か月近く、本当に長い間咲いている。

九月一日、今日は「秋」、ひんやりと秋が始まった。

A Crape myrtle (Sarusuberi) blooms.
It has been blooming really for nearly two months.
On September 1 today, it is chilly and the autumn begin.

白い花

８月２９日（日）　

二日ほど植木屋さんが入って我家の庭はスッキリ！！

樹木の繁りで見えなかった空が見える。猛暑が続いているが空は小さい秋。

裏庭に続く小径の白い花・ゼフィランサスも元気いっぱい。

The gardener trimmed and cleaned the trees in  our garden for two days.
Now, we could see the sky which we did not see by the growth of leaves of the tree.
White flower (Zephyranthes) at the narrow path leading to the backyard is full of life.

白芙蓉

８月２４日（火）

門柱脇にあった白芙蓉は大きくなりすぎて、７，８年前に枯れてしまった。

淋しいとは思ったが他の樹木が立て込んでいるので、新たに植える事はしなかった。

ところが今年、旧盆が過ぎた頃から毎日一輪、二輪と花を見せてくれている。

晩夏を彩る白芙蓉は、ミセスマスダの大好きな花。

The white cotton rose(white fuyou) grew too much big and has died seven years ago.
However, this year there are flower one by one from the root of the tree which we 

thought died.
A white cotton rose blooming in late summer is the flower which Mrs. Masuda loves.

蒼いレモン

８月１３日（金） 

五月の初め頃、２０００位咲いたレモンの花は５００位結実したが

その内３００位は小指の先程の大きさまで育ったところで落ちてしまう。

夏の強い陽射しの下、濃い蒼、ゴルフボールより少し大きめに育った実が

２００位枝の間に見えるようになった。初冬には金色の堂々たるレモンとなって

我々を喜ばせてくれる。

Beginning of May this year,2000 of the lemon flower bloomed at our garden and 

500 of them bore fruit.   After all 200 fruit remained to the branch of the tree.

The fruit were a dark green and grew up larger than golf ball.

Under the summer strong sunlight, 200 fruit could be seen between branches.  
They will become the golden dignified lemon in early winter and delight us.

百合

８月１０日（火）

百合が沢山咲いた。暑い日が続いているので、この涼やかさは何とも嬉しい。

母が愛用していた花瓶に活けて仏間に飾った。

A lot of lilies bloomed at our garden.
As a hot day continues, this coolness of lily is very nice.
I arranged lilies in the vase which my mother used habitually and put vase front of a Buddhist altar.

鯉は泳ぎ、睡蓮は咲く

８月６日（金）

この鯉たちは信楽焼きの古い鉢に住み一年中泳いでいる。

と言っても鯉はミスターマスダの焼いた陶製の物。

今朝、熱帯性の紫睡蓮が開き始めると、早速寄って来た。

"A  tropical  purple water lily" bloomed in the old bowl of Shigaraki-ware  of our home.

These carp live in the bowl and swim throughout the year.
The carp are artificial and made with the ceramics by Mr. Masuda, though.
The carp came to the flower promptly this morning when the tropical purple water lily 

began to bloom.
