白い彼岸花

９月１９日（月）

初めて白い彼岸花を見たのは鎌倉・円覚寺だった。我家にも欲しいなと思っていたら

ミセスマスダの短歌のお仲間が球根を下さった。

以来、二十余年、この季節には我家の庭に彩りを添えてくれる。

バカラ社の花器「ディーバ」に入れ、ダイニングテｰﾌﾞルに飾り愛でている。

At Kamakura, Enkaku-ji Temple, we looked at the white cluster amaryllis(Shiro-Higanbana) for the first time.
The friend of the poem ( tanka) of Mrs. Masuda gave us a bulb of them.
Thereafter, fort twenty years, the white cluster amaryllis bloomed  a beautiful flower in our garden in this season. Mrs. Masuda arranged it in vase "diva" of Baccarat and displayed it to the dining table.

名残りの朝顔

９月８日（木）

八月の終り頃から庭の朝顔が毎日、毎日、八ツ、九つ、十と沢山の花を見せる。

「名残りの朝顔」とでも言うのであろう・・・

インドデイゴに絡んで此のひと夏咲き続けた青い朝顔が面白いので写真に収めた。

It is interesting that a morning glory gets twisted up to an outdoor lamp and a plant.

The morning glory at our garden bloomed a lot of flower since the end of August.

It is coming to an end of the season for the morning glory.
We can say " A vanishing morning glory".

高砂百合

８月１６日（火）

今年も高砂百合の季節がやって来た。家でも年々増えて庭のあちらこちらで咲き始めた。伸びて伸びてニメートル位の高さの物もある。

そんな中、面白い所に咲いた高砂百合がある。先年、ミスターマスダが

手捻りで作った釣偲ぶに一輪咲いた。種子が飛んで行ったのだろうがこんなところで花を見せるのは誠に嬉しいことだ。

正面から見た百合。釣忍は二段になっている。下の物は緑に隠れていが・・。その下にある風鈴もミスターマスダの手造り。

横から見た百合。何とも愉快な姿である。

The season of Takasago lily came over this year.
It has begun to bloom in many places of our garden.
A lily bloomed on Tsuri-Shinobu which Mr. Masuda made in a past year.
A lily seed would fly, but was really glad of showing the flower in such a place.
A wind-bell in the bottom was a handicraft of Mr. Masuda, too.

朝顔Ⅲ

８月１２日（金）

一昨日に続いて今朝、綺麗な色の朝顔が咲き始めた。

苗についていた袋に「濃紅」と書かれていたがその通り、とても美しい色合いで早朝から

とてもハッピーな気分である。

藍色の朝顔、今朝はたくさんの花を見せたので、二つ程、ガラス鉢に飾って食卓に。　

気分の良い朝食であった。

The morning glory of the beautiful color has begun to bloom this morning following the day before yesterday. It was written as "crimson" on the bag of the seeds of morning glory.
The flower such as the photograph of the bag bloomed as it was.

As many flowers of the morning glory bloomed in this morning,  I displayed two of  them (indigo blue) in the glass bowl and put it on the dining table. It was the very good refreshing breakfast.

朝顔（Ⅱ）

８月８日（月）

昨日から今朝に掛けて藍色の朝顔と紫色の朝顔が咲き始めた。

藍色の朝顔は昨年の零れ種がインドデイゴの枝に絡んでグングン伸びたもの、

紫色の朝顔は苗についていた袋の写真では”巨大輪・淡紅”とあったのだが

なぜか程々の大きさの紫色。何とも不思議だが、どちらも蕾が沢山付いているので、これからが楽しみ。

The morning glories of  indigo blue and  purple have begun to bloom  this morning.
The morning glory of the indigo blue grew and tangled around a branch of the Coral tree at our garden rapidly.
There was the purple morning glory which was moderate size for some reason.

However the photograph of seed bag mentioned  "huge ring, pink".

It was very mysterious, but this is a pleasure as there are a lot of buds both.

朝顔

８月１日（月）

今日は八朔（八月一日）朝顔初花。タイムリーにと言うか漸く一輪咲いた。

苗を植えた時は藍色と思っていたのだが,何と何と・・・・。

淡いブルーに彩られた真っ白な朝顔は格別の美しさ、気に入った。

朝の楽しみが生れた。

One morning glory bloomed at our garden for the first time this year.
When we planted a seedling, thought it was to be indigo blue・・・・
The pure white morning glory colored with light blue.

We love its particular beauty.
Morning pleasure will be continued.

ドライフラワー

７月２２日（金）

裏庭で長らく咲き盛っていた紫陽花が夏の暑い陽射しを浴びその花びらは

藍色・紫・桃色と微妙な色合いを見せ美しいドライフラワーとなった。

来年の紫陽花の季節まであちらこちらに飾り愉しめるのが嬉しい。

The hydrangea which bloomed for a long time in our backyard and  became the dried flower.
The petal which absorbed summer hot sunlight became a delicate color including indigo blue, purple, the pink.
I am glad that I can display them in many places and can enjoy this dried flower until the season of hydrangea of the next year.

蘭

７月１８日（月）

友人のSG氏は自宅に蘭専用の温室を持っていて五十年程前から「原種の蘭」だけを

育てている。ずっと前にこの友人から貰った蘭が今年は沢山花を付けた。

素人の悲しさ花の向きが揃っていないのが残念だ。

Our close friend has a greenhouse for exclusive use of the orchid at his home and 

brings up "only the orchid of the progenitor".
The orchid which we got from him bloomed a lot of flowers this year. 

 As we were  amateur photographer, the picture was not attractive.

ハイビスカスとダリアi

７月１０日（日）

夏は庭に咲く花数が少なくなって淋しい事だ。

そんな中、ハイビスカスとダリアが咲き始めた。

ハイビスカスは花弁が二段に咲くちょっと面白い花、莟が沢山見えているので

暫くは楽しめそうである。

It is seen lonesome in the summer as there is little number of the flowers blooming

in our garden.
Meanwhile, a hibiscus and a dahlia have begun to bloom.
As the hibiscus has a lot of buds growing, the flower will continue blooming from now on.

梅の実

６月２１日（火）

ほんのり色付いた梅の実が毎日十個、十五個と落ちる。

落ちた梅を集めてみているだけでも倖せな気分になるが

ミセスマスダは梅ジュースや梅ジャムにすると言って連日奮闘している。

10~15 of the fruit of the plum fell  down to our  grand from  the branch of the plum every day.
Mrs.Masuda felt happy just to collect the fallen plums.

But she try to make plum juice and plum jam with the fruits and struggles day after day.

南天の花

６月１８日（土）

南天の花が満開である。力があってとても美しい。

朱く色付く頃が今から待たれる。

The flowers of the nandin (Nanten) are in full bloom.
They are powerful and very beautiful.
We are waiting for the time  when the fruit Nandin become red.

紫陽花

 ６月１０日（金）

紫陽花の季を向えてあちらこちらその美しさが溢れている。

手元にある紫陽花模様の器に、裏庭からの紫陽花をあしらって食事を楽しんでいる。

It is the season of  a Hydrangea.　　The beauty of the flower overflows here an there.

I displayed the hydrangea from our backyard together with the plates of the hydrangea 

designed.       We can enjoy a meal with the plates.

皐月

６月６日 （日） 

皐月は７，８株あるがここ数年咲いた事がない。植木屋さんは日当たりが悪いからでは

ないかと言っているが、どういうわけか、今年はすべての株に花が見られる。

母が丹精していた花なので、これで一安心。

There were seven or eight stocks of Azaleas in our garden, but had not bloomed  for these past several years.
Our gardener said that this might be not enough sunshine, but a flower was seen in all stocks this year somehow.
As it was the flower which our mother took a great care of, we were very satisfied for that.

蕺草（ドクダミ）

６月３日（金）

暫く行っていないので草採りをしなければと裏庭に行ってみると、そこは

蕺の花に埋め尽くされていて白い海のよう・・・

一つ一つの花の可憐さに、今，引いてしまう事は出来なく暫くは

この美しさを愉しもうと其の儘にしておいた。

When I went to our backyard for mowing, there were a flower field  of the Houttuynia  (Dokudami) ... which was like the white sea.
The flower was so cute. I could not cut them at that time. 

I am going to enjoy this beauty for a while.

インドデイゴ

５月３１日（火）

インドデイゴが咲き始めた。これも我家の庭に来てから３０年近く経つ。

梅雨時には必ず咲くのだが何故か昨年は花を見せなかった。

それだけに、今年の花はとても嬉しい。

A Coral tree (Indo-deigo)  has begun to bloom.
Nearly 30 years pass after planting it in our garden.
It did not bloom last year for some reason.
We are glad that it blooms this year.
