オバマ大統領のノーベル平和賞受賞に関するステートメントに関して

２００９年ノーベル平和賞の受賞が決まったオバマ大統領は、１０月９日に発表されたステートメント（こちらをご覧ください）の中で、地球温暖化問題に関しては、以下のように述べています。

　We cannot accept the growing threat posed by climate change, which could forever damage the world that we pass on to our children -- sowing conflict and famine; destroying coastlines and emptying cities. And that's why all nations must now accept their share of responsibility for transforming the way that we use energy.

　このうち、all nations must now accept their share of responsibility に関しては、世界一の排出国である中国（２１％）を含む途上国のみならず、アメリカ自身（２０％）を含めて言っていることは明らかであり、COP１５に向けてのアメリカの強力なリーダーシップ（関連法案の上院の通過や条約の批准を含む）の発揮を期待したいと思います。
