この紫色のカラー ”ダーバン” は枯れてしまった様だったので諦めていたところ
この夏、五つ、六つ、莟を持ち始め、今朝、二つ花開いた。
これは嬉しい！！
I had given up on this purple color called "Darban" because it seemed to have withered.
But this summer, it started sprouting five or six buds, and this morning, two flowers bloomed.
I'm so happy about this!!

この印度デイゴは、もう三十年近く毎年、梅雨時の庭に鮮やかな朱色の花を見せてくれる。
今朝、何気なく花言葉をしらべてみた所「夢」・「生命力」とあった。
これは良い。
This Indian Coral Tree has been showing crimson flowers in my garden every year for nearly thirty years during the rainy season. This morning, I casually looked up its flower language, and it said "dream" and "vitality." This is wonderful.
６月９日
裏庭の紫陽花達は全て藍色だったのに、ここ数年の間に桃色に変わってしまった。
五十年もの間ミセスマスダが愛でていた深い藍色の額紫陽花等はいつの間にか姿を消してしまった。
気候変動や土の影響によるのであろうが・・・・
紫陽花が藍色に,或いは紅色に咲くよう土に混ぜる肥料が売られているようなので
来年はチャレンジしてみようと思う。
ダイニングテーブルに飾った大輪のこの紫陽花の色は捨て難いが。
The hydrangeas in the backyard, which used to be all blue, have turned pink over the past few years.
The deep blue hydrangeas that Mrs. Masuda had cherished for fifty years have somehow disappeared.
It is probably due to climate change or the influence of the soil...
I heard that there are fertilizers available that can make hydrangeas bloom in blue or red, so I'm thinking of giving it a try next year.
The color of these large hydrangeas displayed on the dining table is hard to let go of.

紅葉の木陰では紫色の紫陽花が咲き始めた。
園芸店で求めた時は黒に近い紫だったのに・・・・
四枚目の写真は裏庭に咲く紫陽花、藍色が良いので、挿木して玄関脇に
植えて二年、漸く花を見せたが、これも三番目の写真の様にほんのりと美しい水色に・・・・、
In the shade of the autumn leaves, purple hydrangeas have started to bloom.When I purchased them at the garden store, they were closer to a dark purple...The fourth photo shows hydrangeas blooming in the backyard, and I liked this dlue so much. So I took cuttings and planted them next to the entrance two years ago. Finally, they have shown flowers, but they turned out to be a faintly beautiful light blue, just like in the third photo...

門を入って階段を幾つか上って玄関までのエントランス、
小さな紫陽花が咲き揃って嬉しい明け暮れである。
ずっと前に求めた黒味帯びた深紅の紫陽花は年々色を変え
今ではこの様なピンク色に変わってしまったが、この華やかさも気にいっている。
Entering through the gate and climbing a few stairs is the entrance to the foyer.
It is a joyful life with small hydrangeas blooming.
The dark reddish hydrangea that I got a long time ago has changed its color year by year,
And now it has transformed into this pink color, but I also love this vibrant beauty.

美しい朝、今朝は菖蒲が咲いた。
真っ直ぐ伸びた凛とした佇まいには、こちらの気持ちも
引き締まる。
On this beautiful morning, an Irises bloomed at our gaeden.

五十年余の長きに亙り親しくさせて頂いているSG夫妻、SG氏は蘭の愛好家、
知り合った当時、もう既に自宅に蘭の温室を持っていて数多い欄を育てていた。
先日、愛らしい蘭の一鉢を頂いた。
これから一か月位はこの美しい蘭を愛でながら元気に過そう。
We have been in close friendship with the SG couple for over fifty years, and Mr. SG is a lover of orchids.
Just recently, he gave us a lovely potted orchid as a gift.
For the next month or so, we will enjoy taking care of this beautiful orchid and spend our time in good spirits.

五メートルを超すほどの大樹に育った山法師に白い花がぎっしりと咲いている。
真っ直ぐ伸び、凛とした姿は好ましいものである。
三人目の孫の誕生の記念に植えたものだが、彼はこの五月、二十五歳になった。
The Yamabushi tree, which has grown into a majestic tree surpassing five meters in height, is covered with densely blooming white flowers.
Its upright and dignified figure is truly admirable. It was planted in celebration of the birth of the third grandchild. He turned twenty-five this May.

たった一つレモンが実っていた鉢植えのレモンを植えて四半世紀、大樹となった。
五月、夥しい程の数、多分三千位の花が咲き、毎日これも夥しいほどの花弁が散る。
このうち三百位が深い緑の豆粒ほどに結実する。
この実も幾つも落ちてしまい、初冬、あの美しいレモン色に実るのは、毎年
百五十個から二百位となる。
A potted lemon tree that had only one lemon growing on it was planted and grew into a large tree over the course of a quarter-century.
In May, an enormous number of flowers bloomed, perhaps around three thousand, and each day an equally enormous number of petals fell.
Among them, about three hundred fruits the size of small green beans formed.
Many of these fruits fell off, but come early winter, it is a yearly occurrence for about one hundred fifty to two hundred of them to ripen into that beautiful lemon color.

５月９日
裏庭では今年も野蕗が盛んである。三十本ほど伽羅蕗にした。
炊きたて御飯との相性は抜群、初夏の味を楽しんでいる。
This year as well, the wild butterbur（Fuki) is thriving in the backyard. I made a pickled butterbur.
It goes perfectly with freshly cooked rice, and I'm enjoying the taste of early summer.

息子がデュッセルドルフに赴任中、十年位前の事だが息子の許へその家族が
行く時に預って以来十余年、寄せ植えになっていた花の数々は消えてしまったが
この姫空木は鉢いっぱいにまで大きくなった。
何故か、[
「奥のほそ道」にある
”卯の花をかざしに関の晴着かな”
という曽良の歌が思い出される。
The numerous flowers in the "mixed planting flower pot" that I received from my second son, who was assigned to Düsseldorf ten years ago, have disappeared, but only this "Dwarf Hydrangea(Hime-Utsugi)" has grown to fill the pot with its blossoms.

小旅行の事をUPしている間に咲き続いた花々の事を。
先ずは躑躅。この躑躅の垣根は父母の頃からのもの
六十年近く我家を守ってくれている。
While uploading photos of our short trip on Blog, I would like to introduce the flowers that continued to bloom in our garden. First, there are the azaleas. The fence of these azaleas has been around since my parents' time. It has been protecting our home for almost 60 years.
４月１９日
むかし、むかし、西国三十三所霊場を回った時に万願寺の
岐阜の谷汲山・華厳寺の境内で鉢植えの藤を求めた。
その年五月、初孫に恵まれたのでその記念にと庭に移して以来
ガレージのフエンスを倒してしまいはしないかと思われる程に
成長し、毎年五月にはその美しさを愉しんでいる。
今年は、他の花々同様、大分早く咲き始めたが・・・。
Once upon a time, when I was traveling around "the Saigoku 33 Kannon pilgrimage route", I got a potted wisteria plant at the Kegon-ji temple on Mt. Tanikumi in Gifu.
In May of that year, I was blessed with my first grandchild and moved the plant to my garden to commemorate the occasion. Since then, it has grown so much that I worried it might even knock down the garage fence.
Every year in May, I enjoy its beauty. This year, like other flowers, it began to bloom much earlier than usual...

この春は季節の巡りが随分早いようだ。
例年はゴールデンウイークの頃咲く花水木が
知らないうちに花水木が満開になっていたので大急ぎでパチリと。
ちょっとピンボケの写真ですが御覧ください。
It is early that the season comes in this spring.
In the average year, American dogwoods (Hanamizuki ) blooming around the Golden Week have become already in full blossom.
The photograph became slightly out of focus, but please imagine it.

何年か前、食事に行った店の隣のフローリストで咲いていた
このシンビジューム、その時一緒だった息子がプレゼントしてくれた。
この春初めて花を見せてくれた。
大きな花が力一杯咲いている、明るさ、黄色が良い。
Our son presented the Cymbidium which bloomed at a florist next to the resturant which we went for lunch with son several years ago.
The Cymbidium showed the flower for the first time this spring.
A lot of big flowers bloom. Brightness, yellow are very good.
