◎ 日本の人権の状況に２１８の勧告 （NHK NEWS WEB）
国連人権理事会が日本の人権状況に関して行った審査で、各国からは、報道機関の独立性の確保や、東京電力福島第一原子力発電所の事故の影響を受けた住民への支援の継続など、合わせて２１８の勧告が出され、政府は、それぞれの勧告を受け入れるかどうか検討することにしています。
国連人権理事会は、すべての加盟国の人権状況を定期的に審査していて、今月１４日、スイスの国連ヨーロッパ本部で５年ぶりに日本への審査を行い、１０６の国と地域が質問しました。
人権理事会の作業部会は、１６日、審査で出された日本への勧告を取りまとめて発表し、勧告の数が５年前より２５％多い、２１８に上ったことを明らかにしました。
勧告の内容は、人種や性別による差別の解消や死刑制度の廃止に関するものに加えて、アメリカなどが、放送法の一部を見直し、報道機関の独立性を確保するよう求めたほか、ドイツなどが、東京電力福島第一原子力発電所の事故の影響を受けた住民や自主避難者への支援を継続するよう求めた勧告もあります。
このほか、韓国や中国などは、慰安婦問題について、日本政府の謝罪や公正な歴史教育の実施などを求めています。
今回の勧告に法的な拘束力はありませんが、日本政府は、それぞれの勧告について受け入れるかどうかを検討し、来年３月までに人権理事会に通知することにしています。
