まだ小学校低学年くらいの勉強は教えられる
そう思っていますから
昨日夏休みで遊びに来た１年生と３年生の孫に言いました
宿題で分からない事があったらジージーに聞いて？
と
すると無表情で
ジージーには無理
そう冷たく返してきました。
なんて失礼な暴言でしょうか？
であれば自分でやれ
ってこっちもそう言うしかありませんよね。
で
孫たちが宿題を始めるのを見てすぐに
えっ？
って思いましたね
バッグから取り出したのは
うんこドリルではありません
ノートパソコンです。
私がそれで宿題やるの？
って聞いたら
そうだと言いましたので
私は
それWIFIにつながなくて良いの？
ってさらに尋ねました
すると
もちろんつなげるよ
って言いましたので
さすがにそれは孫では無理
そう思って
じゃジージーがつなげてあげる
って言うと
また冷たく一言
大丈夫
って言ったと
ルーターの横のファイルにある接続マニュアルで
SSIDとＰＷを確認して
ピコピコやって
あっと言う間に接続しました。
これを見てがっかりしましたね
一体私の長年の接続の苦労は何だったんだろう？
と
それから孫たちが宿題をやる様子を見てると
私が何十年かかっても習得できないブラインンドタッチ
完全に身についています。
最近まで私がオムツを替えてたのに
あっと言う間に私を追い越して
遠くまで行ってしまった
って感じです。
このＩＴが発達した時代に産まれ育つ人間
多分私たちとは別人種
そう思える位に変化していますよね。
私は宿題が手伝えないので
孫たちが終わるまで横で新聞を見ていましたが
今時新聞を読む事自体が
昔の人
多分孫たちはそう感じるんでしょうね。
まぁそうしてる内に
孫たちも宿題を終えましたので
公園に行ってサッカーをやったりして
お昼になりましたので
近くのファミレスに行きました。
私たちの席はレジの近くなので
その様子が見て取れますが
ある70代と思われる老夫婦
レジでスマホで決済しようとしていますが
スマホ画面が立ち上がらないようで苦戦していました。
すると
後ろで並んでた若いお客様が痺れを切らして
その立ち上げを手伝って
なんとか画面が表示されましたが
今度はレジの店員の女性が
その読み取りができずにパニックに気味になっていました
その方も私と同年代位の人です。
結局どうにもならなくなって
奥から別の店員を呼んで助けを求めました
するとやって来たのは
２０歳そこそこの若い女の子
その子が
てきぱきと処理して
すぐに決済が終わりました。
まぁ高齢者には厳しい時代ですね。
私は列の後ろで待たされてる人たちのイライラを感じてましたので
本当に自分の事のようにヒヤヒヤしていました。
やがて
私たちも食べ終わり
支払いになりまいたが
最初はクレジットカードで支払うつもりでしたが
財布を開けた途端
もう現金以外はヤバい
そう感じて
渋沢栄一さんの肖像が載った
新しい１万円札で支払いました。
この新しいお札
２０年ごとに発行されるようですね
で
これから２０年先
その頃になると
もうお札は造られない可能性もあるそうです。
困りますね
万一長生きしてしまったら・・

私は怖い
I think I can still teach them elementary school level studies,
so yesterday I asked my grandsons, who are in the first and third grades, who came to visit during summer vacation.
I said
“ If you don't understand anything about your homework I can help you”
They replied coldly, expressionless,
saying that grandpa can't do it.
What a rude and insulting thing to say?
If that's the case, then I have no choice but to tell them to do it themselves.
So when I saw my grandsons starting their homework,
I immediately thought,
"What?"
What they took out of their bag was not a poop drill, but a laptop.
asked them,
"Are you going to do your homework on that?"
They said, "Yes."
So I asked them,
"Does it have to be connected to WIFI?"
They said, "Of course it can be connected."
I thought,
"That's too difficult for my grandsons to do,"
so I said,
"Well, I will connect it for you,"
and they coldly replied,
"It's okay."
And they checked the SSID and PW in the connection manual in the file next to the router,
did a beep,
and it was connected in no time.
I was disappointed to see this.
What on earth was the point of my years of struggling with the connection?
Then, I watched my grandchildren doing their homework.
They had completely mastered the blind touch that I could never master in decades.
I had changed their diapers until recently,
but they had overtaken me in the blink of an eye and gone far away.
People born and raised in this IT-advanced era have changed so much that we can almost feel that they are a different race from us.
I couldn't help them with their homework, so I read the newspaper next to them until they finished,
May be they feel the person who read newspaper are past human
Anyway, while I was reading paper
my grandchildren finished their homework,
so we went to the park to play soccer,
and it was lunchtime,
so we went to a nearby family restaurant.
Our seats were near the cash register,
so we could see what was going on.
An elderly couple who seemed to be in their 70s were trying to pay with their smartphone at the cash register,
but they were having trouble because the smartphone screen wouldn't turn on.
Then, a young customer behind them got impatient and helped them set it up,
and somehow the screen came up,
but then the female cashier couldn't read it and started to panic.
She was about my age. she couldn't do anything about it,
so she called another waitress from the back for help.
Then a young girl in her early 20s came over,
and she processed it quickly and the payment was completed in no time.
It's a tough time for the elderly.
I felt the frustration of the people waiting behind them,
so I was really worried as if it were me.
Eventually, we finished eating and it was time to pay,
at first I was planning to pay with my credit card,
but as soon as I opened my wallet,
I felt that I couldn't use anything other than cash,
so I paid with the new 10,000 yen note with Eiichi Shibusawa's portrait on it.
It seems that these new bills are issued every 20 years,
and it's possible that by the time 20 years from now,
there will be no more bills produced.
That would be a problem.
If I were to live a long life...
Smartphone payments?
