Kyoto International Manga Museum

I would like to inform Manga Museum at Karasuma-Oike in Kyoto.
I ride subway from Kyoto to Karasuma-Oike.
Walk north for 2minutes, I arrive at this museum.



This museum was built using Elementary school at 2006.



This museum has museum function and library function.
Manga materials are about 300,000, from Maiji period.

Museum consists of Galary zone, research zone, library zone, Facilities of regional zone.

Entrance charge is 800 yen.


First is Manga Expo corner.
Japanese mangas are translated to foreign language.

Next is Multi-purpose video hall.

Manga's videos are displayed to big TV.
Many Manga books are set.
People are available to read manga,siting floor.

Next is children library.
There is a circle shaped floor.
Parents are reading manga to their child.

I go up to 2F.

2F has a big fire bird, that is made as Hinotori manga, Tezuka Osamu bird.
This bird is wooden statue, 4.5m×11m, beautiful.

Main galary has many historical Manga books.
Manga books are set by each age.

Famouse manga books are set from 1945 to 2005 to shelf.
Atom's all manga books are aligned.

Next is Kamishibai room.
Young children are seeing Kamishibai.
Kamishibai is prayer speaking story by showing a big drawing Manga's, and sell candy to hearing people.


Go up to 3F.
Black-Jack manga is displayed to May 10.
Show Black-Jack history's, surgery operating room, Black-Jack doll.
Many young people are lined to take a picture with this doll.




At the ground, young Cosmic players are wearing manga clothes, and taking their appearance in the photo.


This museum is good for Manga lovers, and reading manga books.
