Bird watching at Yodo river in Osaka

2017-11-25 20:23:24 | nature observation

This time, I will explore the wild birds in the river park from Osaka Yodogawa's Juso Ohashi bridge to Nagara Bridge.

Get off at Hankyu Juso Station and head from the East ticket gate to Yodogawa.

There is a large number of pupas of Jacoageha butterfly on the cement wall in this embankment.

Pupa is small and light brown. In the spring this pupa comes, it will shed and become a big beautiful butterfly.

The river park is vast and a gravel road about 5 m in width extends to the east and west on the river side. This road is also running a truck, so please pay attention to the car.
From here, the scenery where the Hankyu train goes to the building city of Umeda is wonderful.

On the shore north of Yodo River, tidal flats are spreading.

As you walk a while, mallards and Gray ducks are swimming the Yodo River.

You can observe Hawthorn, Thrush, Lepidoptera, Phellinus cinerea etc.

On the tidal flat, the grassland of Yoshi, Ogi is spreading.
Yoshi is brown, and Ogi is white.

Mentha butterfly with white streaks on black is singing with a clean voice.

Mentha butterfly is an alien species, also entered the housing, becoming an annoying bird, but it is a good bark.

Trees are also growing in this Yodogawa riverbed.
The white fruit of the Nankinghase is a good contrast with the leaves that turn red.

After passing the Shinyodogawa Bridge, go past the JR 's Iron Bridge and go to the riverbank, you can see the pheasant, Isoshigi.
The scenery where JR 's train runs over the iron bridge towards Osaka is a wonderful picture.

Since many wild birds live in rivers in the city, please go to observe.

You can spend a pleasant holiday with good scenery and birds singing.

That’s it.

Mitake Castle Ruins Park, Mitake Forest、in Gifu Prefecture

2017-11-15 12:25:22 | Walking Trip
I would like to inform "Mitake Castle Ruins Park" and "Mitake Forest"
in Mitake-cho, southern part of Gifu Prefecture.

Take the Meitetsu train from Nagoya station about one hour, then arrive at Mitake station.

From the station to the south, Mitake Forest will be visible in about 15 minutes on foot.

The Mitake Forest has parks and forests and hiking road.
In the park, there is a big stone written as "Mitake no Mori", and a lawn park is spreading.

When going southwest from the park, there is a pond and there is a guide board of "Sasa Yuri's self-fabric" on the left.

When heading there, there is a signboard of "Sasa Yuri's own fabric" where the bamboo grassed.
Here, "Sasa Yuri" is in full bloom from late May to early June.

Lily flowers are pretty little pretty pinkish.
In order to protect Sasa Yuri, there are electric wires running through both sides of the sidewalk.
Be careful not to touch the iron wire.

Go ahead and find a second pond.

I enjoy autumn leaves.
It is not a hiking season, I can listen to the birds crying.

Heading northwest from here, I will go to Mitake Castle Ruins Park.
Oguri clan built this castle in about 1550 years in the Warring States Period.
A small hill can be seen in about 20 minutes from Mitake Forest.

On top of this hill there is Mitarashi Castle Ruins and an observatory at the mark of Honmaru.

From the observation deck you can see the whole town of Mitake.
Enjoy the scenery and take a break.
You can also see a wonderful night view at night.

From here you can go to Mitake station in about 20 minutes.
Mitake station area had a Mitake Inn of Nakasendo in the Edo period.

Now, the signboard of Nakasendo Inn and the name of the stadium in Nakasendo are engraved on the stone.

Please enjoy the scenery from hiking and Mitake castle ruins park.
That`s it.

I would like to inform Takeshima island, Seaside Literary Memorial Museum in Gamagori City Aichi Pref.

Take the JR Tokaido line from Nagoya Station and arrive at Gamagori Station in about 40 minutes.
On the south side of the station, there is a yacht in yacht racing "America's Cup".

As you head towards the ocean you will see "Sea Science Museum of Life" on your right.

This museum introduce the history of the earth and living things by touching meteorites and fossils.

Takeshima will be visible as you walk east along the coast.

There is a park on the north side of Takeshima, "the statue of Shunzei Fujiwara" who ruled this land during the Heian period, stands facing Takeshima.

To Takeshima, a splendid bridge is on the sea like Enoshima, and you can walk across.

Seagulls are flying around the bridge in flocks.

Below the bridge is the tidal ebb and it becomes a sandy beach at low tide, and it is crowded with cliff hunt in the summer.
I arrive at Takeshima, head towards the Yaotomi Shrine at the top of the island and climb the stone steps.

When visiting Yaotomi Shrine and going further, I arrive at the southern tip of the island.

From here you can look over the majestic view of the Pacific Ocean.

From the southern end, walk back to the bridge walking on the sidewalk around the island.

Go back to the bridge and head towards the " Seaside Literary Memorial Museum".

This museum was rebuilt the cooking ryokan and exhibits works of writers from Gamagori City.

Because of no charge for entering, there are many visitors.
Please appreciate literary works and see a wonderful sight of Takeshima from the Japanese style room.
The surrounding of this memorial museum is a Japanese garden and you can also take a break on the bench.

In Gamagori, there are also Gamagori Classic Hotel, Gamagori Onsen and Mitani Onsen.
