Enma Temple's KyounSetsubun Festival in Kyoto city

I would like to inform Enma temple's KyounSetsubune Festival.

I ride bus from JR Kyoto to Senbon-Kuramaguchi, walk 2minutes south, I arrive at Senbon-Enmado temple.

This temple was built at 1017 by Jyogaku Shonin.


Main temple has King Enma statue.

Precinct has Ten double stone pagoda.



Enmado-KyounSetsubune is praying for a good luck.

After holding Enmado Nenbutsu Kyogen, Beans Maki formula is starting.

Feb.2nd : Boiled Konjac starts from 9:30.


Feb.3rd : Enmado Nenbutsu Kyogen
This Kyogen is no charge.
This is a good chance for seeing a famous Kyogen.



Boiled Konjac is made as Enma tongue.
Boiled Konjac with tea set is frank taste, 400yen.


Feb.3rd festival has many people.

Please enjoy eating Boiled Konjac, and see Kyogen.

Takayoshi Kido's Kyoto house

I would like to inform visiting Takayoshi Kido's Kyoto house trip.

I ride Keihan train from Yodoyabashi Osaka.
I get off at Jingu-Marutamachi station, walk south-west 5 minutes.
I arrive at Takayoshi Kido's Kyoto house.


Takayoshi Kido is a politician at Meiji period.
He was born at Hagi city in Yamaguchi pref. as Kogoro-Katsura at 1833．
He change name to Takayoshi Kido's.


He is a famouse politician same as Takamori Saigo, Toshimichi Okubo at early Meiji period.
This Kyoto house was given from Konoe clan.

Entrance is no charge.

This house is two-story wooden house.
House and garden are existing.
I enter this house.



I go up 2nd floor, Kamo river is seen.
Good view.

Darumado house is Adjacently this house.

I enter Darumado house.
This house has many Daruma dolls.



These Darumas have many Facial expressions.

Daruma is also set over roof.

Window shape is also Daruma shape.

Please enjoy Takayoshi Kido's Kyoto house and Darumado house.

Yodo Castle, Kuzuha Mall, Botanical Gardens of Osaka City University.

I would like to inform Keihan train trip.

Yodo Castle has stone wall and moat.

Yodo Castle was established by Hideyoshi-Toyotomi.
But this castle is not Hideyoshi-Toyotomi's Castle.
This castle was built by Togugawa clan at 1625.


I ride Keihan train from Yodoyabashi station to Yodo station.
About 40 minutes riding.

I walk west from Yodo station 5minutes.
I arrive at Stone wall for Honmaru house.

Right side is Yodo shrine.
This shrine has not a relation to Yodo Castle.

I go to Tenshukaku.
But stone wall is not opened to traveler.



So, I can not enter Tenshukaku area.

Next is Inaba Shrine.

This shrine is a this castle's founder.
Small shrine exists near Honmaru park.
I pray at this shrine.

I go to Honmaru and Ninomaru house Ruine.
Current this area is children's park.


I go foreword, arrive at Yodo stone monument.


I pray at Yodo shrine.


Next I ride Keihan train, go to Kuzuha Mall.
East of Kuzuha station has Kuzuha Mall.



This shopping mall is bigger mall at Osaka.
This mall has 3 malls, Green Mall, Flower Mall, Light Mall.
I eate a lunch.


Next I go to Osaka City's Botanical garden.

I change train at Hirakata City station, and ride a Thomas train at Katano Line.

I get off at Sakiichi station.


I walk South West about 10minutes, arrive at Osaka City's Botanical garden.

This garden has about 450kinds of trees.
Many trees, flowers are seen.

Entrance charge is 350yen.

Forest bath is available.

History, Shopping, Forest bathing make you healthy.

Osaka Hanazono HighSchool Rugby tournaments

I would like to inform Hanazono HighSchool Rugby.

This year HighSchool Rugby is 95 times tournament.
Starts December 27, January 3 was Quarter finals，January 7 is Semifinals, January 11 is final game.
I watch Quarter finals.

I ride Kintetsu railway from Namba station to Higashi Hanazono.
I get off Higashi Hanazono, walk south about 10 minutes, I arrive at Hanazono Rugby field.



Entrance charge is 1000yen.
Quarter finals is Full house.

HighSchool Rugby does not have reserved seats, only non reserved seats.

For Quarter final games, arriving at this field 30minutes before is necessary for seating good seats.

2nd Tennri vs Toingakuen
3rd Kanseigakuin vs Iwami Chisuikan
4th Osaka Toin vs Higashi Fukuoka

HighSchool Rugby is 30minutes half game.
HighSchool Rugby's good points is as follows
- Short time period game
- Without dense play, we can see many pass plays, and mall plays.
- Playing desperately
- Only Voice cheering

1st game is speedy, and good tackle, so game is changing quickly offense and defense.


Spectator has many Rugby knowledge.
They explain games in detail.

Near the field seats, you can see players pleasures, and tears.


Near main ground, training ground exists.
Next game payers are training.


Rugby game is body attacking play, so you will be impressed.

January 7 is Semifinals, January 11 is final game.
Please go to Hanazono rugby field, and get excitements.

Kyoto Shiromine shrine: New year pray

I would like to inform Shiramine shrine, that is sports god shrine.

I ride subway from Kyoto station, get off at Marutamachi station.
I walk west 8 minutes, arrive at Shiramine shrine.



This shrine has Jishusha shrine,that is Kemari's god shrine.
So this shrine is called Sports shrine.
Many sports men/women are visiting this shrine.

Japan pro Football teams, ball game players visit and pray this shrine.
Many balls are dedicated in this shrine.


I enter this shrine from Toriigata.
Chozuya exists in right side.
This water is famouse water from Heian period.
I wash hands by this water.

I go to Pray shrine.

There is Kemari's statue at right side of pray shrine.
Kemari sphere ball is in this statue.

I go to Jishusha shrine.
This small shrine is has many dedicated balls.
Especially many soccer balls are dedicated.
Japan pro Football team's banner is decorated at left side.


Next is Tomonoosha shrine.
This is Martial arts and Archery's god.


Next is Senryusha shrine.
When drink this shrine's water, this god cut off your disaster, then you will live longer.
Laughing dragon stands with humorous face.



Next I go to main Shrine.
There are many dedicated balls.


Left side is shrine office, that sells Amulet.
Kanauwa is famouse for this shrine's Amulet.



This shrine is medium size.
But many sports players are visiting and praying this shrine.

Kemari Festibal is played at July 7.


I recommend to visit this shrine for ball sports victory, or skill up ball play.
