Arimatsu old town road in Nagoya

I would like to inform Arimatsu old town road.


I ride Meitetsu train from Nagoya to Arimatsu station.
I get off at Arimatsu station, go south, turn Righ at signal.
Walk east 400m, arrive at Gion shrine.
Arimatsu old town starts from Gion shrine.

Arimatsu town was built at Edo period 1608.
Mr.Takeda developed Shibori Zome (Tie-dye).
Arimatsu Tie-dye became famouse at middle of Edoperiod, then Arimatsu town was prospered.
Old town is spread about 1km along Tokaido road.

I enter Gion shrine.
There are many stone Buddhas.


I walk north 400m.
Arimatsu Tenman shrine is seen.

This shrine holds Arimatsu Spring/Autumn festival.
This autumn festival will be held Oct.4.
3 Dashi cars start from this shrine.




I return old town road, go east.
JinguKogosha Dashi warehouse is seen.

Next is Koduka house. This house is not opened.


Go east, I find Takeda house.
This house has Kura warehouse.
This house is opened, no charge.

House keeper say, " Please enter, see this house."
Entrance area is shop area.
Go first, Big Arimatsu Tie-dye Kimono, and Tsuitate are seen.

They are expensive and artistic.
This house is continued from Mr.Shokuro Takeda, he is a developer of Arimatsu Tie-dye, 300years.
This house is a head office of Takeda Yoshibei company.

Western-style room is in the back.
Ceiling has golden Kujyaku birds picture.
Next is big living room.
Go garden from this living room.
Gareden is Japanese garden.





Opposite side is Karakosha Dashi warehouse.

Hisada Tie-dye goods shop has leather Tie-dye.

I arrive at main street from Arimatsu station.

Go to west area.
Left side has restaurants, bakery, cafe, tie-dye shops.
Tie-dye goods; Smal bag is \1000, Tshirt is \2500-3000.


Next is Narumi/Arimatsu Tie-dye museum.
2F has a demonstration how to make Arimatsu tie-dye.

Opposite side is Hattori house, that has 3 big Kura warehouse.

South of Narumi/Arimatsu Tie-dye museum has a Stone statue of Mr.Shokuro Takeda, he is a developer of Arimatsu tie-dye.

At Arimatsu festivals, 3 Dashi cars are gathering in front of this stone statuette.

Next is Arimatsu Dashi warehouse museum.
This museum display Hoteisha Dashi warehouse.

Arimatsu Atelier has many modern clothes.

Arimatsu post office is renewaled.

Go Eastman, then reach Route 1.


Please visit Arimatsu old town.

Shinsenen shrine Kangetsu Festival at Kyouto city

I would like to inform Shinsenen shrine Kangetsu Festival at Sept 26.

Shinsenen shrine exists south of Nijo castle.


Shinsenen shrine was held a origin festival of Gion festival.

Enter from Toriigata, Zennyoryuou shrine is existing.



Kangetsu Festival day, Hoyo event starts at main temple from 18:00.


Festival day, seeing Japanese garden is held with no charge.

Riding boat is held, \700.
About 15 minutes riding, seeing Japanese garden, and drinking tea with cake is available.

Riding boat charge will be sold out about 17:30.
That is limited for only 150 people.
Please get a riding boat ticket before 17:00.


From 19:00, Music festival starts at Zennyoryuou shrine.

This shrine has a Power spot "Hojyo bridge",
Crossing this bridge with a wish, this wish will be done.
Please try to cross this bridge with a wish.


Usualy Kangetsu Festival day is a fine day, so you can see a wonderful moon.

Kishiwada Danjiri Festival in Osaka pref.

Kishiwada Danjiri Festival in Osaka pref.
I would like to inform Kishiwada Danjiri Festival.
I ride Nankai train from Nanba to Kishiwada.

Danjiri Festival is held from 9/19 to 20.

Kishiwada Danjiri Festival has over 300years history.
　
This festival is held 2 areas.
Kishiwada West North area、and around Kishiwada castle area.

Danjiri festival is "Yarimawashi" is the highlight. Yarimawashi is diverting the Danjiri at high speed turning spear. Gion Yamaboko is turning carefully, but Yarimawashi is high speed turning.
Danjiri has over 4ton weight.
For achieving high speed turning, festival people have some roles grope.
Pulling Danjiri is Yong grope, finding turning timing is Front lever grope,deciding rote is Rear lever grope, sending information to Rear lever grope is Carpenter grope.



For two days festivals, Danjiris are running many times.
That speed is dynamic.

Danjiri festival becomes grater festival same as Kyoto Gion festival.

● 9/20 Main festival From 6:00 to 22:00


Yell is "Sorya, Sorya".

Starting Danjiri is 9/19 5:30.
This festival is for Man's festival, but nowadays girles attendants are increasing.

Naegi Castle at Nakatsugawa city Aichi pref.

I would like to inform Naegi Castle ruin near Kiso Rinver.


I get off at JR Nakatsugawa station, go north.
I walk along Kiso river west, Naegi castle is seen top of the mountain.


From the mountain, 48 turning road is the climbing road.

This road is steep but short distance to this castle.


I climb this road, some stone walls are seen along this road.
About 20minutes walking, arrive at the entrance of this castle.

Big park is seen, there is a big stone statue of Naegi Castle Ruine.

This castle was built at the top of the mountain.
Honmaru, Tenshukaku are built on the rock.
This castle was built at middle of 16century by Toyama clan.

From Daimon gate, I walk to Tenshukaku.


After Watakura gate, Nakatsugawa city town are seen.


Next is Sakashita gate.

From left side, over all sky view of this castle is seen.

It is wonderful.

After Hishiromon gate, turn right, Sengoku well is seen.
This well has lots of water for thousand people.


Next is weapon warehouse.

Soon Tenshukaku is seen at left side.

Climb left side, Tenshukaku park is seen.


There is a stone statue of Naegi Castle Ruine.

Over the big rock, wooden obsevatory is set.
2nd floor is observatory.
From this, wide view of Kiso river and Nakatsugawa city is fantastical.


This observatory height is same as Tenshukaku 3rd floor.
We can see a same view as Tenshukaku view.

South area of Tenshukaku has some stone walls.

I go down the castle, Shimizu gate and Humei gate are seen.

Then return to Daimon gate.

I go to north area.
There is Oyagura Ruine, with Toyama clan flag, that is red circle and 2 red lines.


Next I go to Naegi Toyama museum.

About 7 minutes walking, I arrive at this museum.

Entrance fee is 350yen.
There is a big Naegi castle model.

That is very precise, we can understand this overall castle structure.
1F has 12 castle lords, armor, letters etc.
2F has Naegi area at Meiji period.

I visit many castle ruins.

Naegi castle is characterized castle, that is built over the rocks and is available to see a wide view of Kiso river and Nakatsugawa city.

Please visit this Castle Ruin.
