Nagano Matsumoto City Trip: Old Kaichi Elementary School, Old Matsumoto High School

Going around Matsumoto city by city loop bus, Town sneeker.
Visit Old Kaichi Elementary School, Old Matsumoto High School, Nakamachi street, Nawate street.

First I go to Old Kaichi Elementary School.

About 13minutes riding, I arrive at Old Kaichi Elementary School.
Old Kaichi Elementary School was built at 1876, it is Western-style building.

This building is two story wooden type.
This building has an octagonal tower in the center.
The second floor of the balcony has the sculpture of an angel, dragon, clouds.
It is a luxury, art building.
Entrance fee is 300yen.
Entrance is right side.


First floor has a big classroom.
There are wooden desk and chairs.

Next room has a Miniature of this school.


This school is moved from Metoba river side.

At the second floor, School trip map is displayed.
The route is Nagoya,Toba,Kansai.

Next is Auditorium room.
This room has a Stained glass.


This school is luxury and artistic.

Left side of this school, Priest's house is existing.
No charge.



Priest was living in this house.

Next, I go to Nakamachi street town.
Nakamachi street has many Kura houses.
There are gift shops, restaurant, Old type museums.


I visit Kura ssic museum.
This museum is modified from Sake house.
No charge.



A big Dirt floor is seen.
Some events are held in this museum.
Coffee lounge is at the entrance.

I eate Soba noodle at the restaurant.

Next I go to Agata-No-Mori Park, there is 'Old Matsumoto High School'.




This school was built at 1919, 2 floor Western-style building.
This school is a mother school for Shinshu Unversity.
Current this school is Agata-No-Mori Culture museum.

I enter from First floor, Firt is Class room.

Wooden desk and chair are combined.

Go to second floor.

Second floor has many small room.
Over the IT room, Auditorium room is existing.
About 200 students are gathering in this room.

A beautiful garden is seen from this room.

I go down to first floor.
Enter Principal's office.


It is Retro and respectable room.
I go out from this room, to the garden.


There are Beautiful garden, 2 Bronze statue.

Next I go to Nawate street.
This is an old shopping street.
Many Sake restaurants are existing.



Nawate street symbol is Frog.
I eate dinner at Sake restaurant, drink Matsumoto Sake.

Matsumoto has many tourism spots.
Please visit Matsumoto city.

Kyoto Pumpkin Daki Festival Trip and Hotel Okura Christmas illumination

I would like to inform Yada temple and Hotel Okura Christmas illumination.
I get off at ShiyakushoMae station of Kyoto subway.
Yada temple is 500m south from this station.

This temple in shop town.
Ksitigarbha of this temple is in the hell.
Ksitigarbha help criminals in the hell.




In the winter, Kyoto citizen think that eating pumpkin makes people to prevent being
sick.
Yada temple deliver boiled pumpkin to people at December 23.
This is No charge.
Delivering starts at 10:00.
People are waiting in front of this temple from 9 o'clock.
1000 pumpkins are delivered, usually this delivering will be finished in the morning.



When waiting at 10:00, you have to waite about 50 minutes.
After waiting, you have to ring the bell and pray the temple.
After praying, boiled pumpkins sets are delivered.
This set has 2 cuts.

Pumpkin is sweet and delicious.
Thanks for free delivering.
Pumpkins set are 1000sets.



This temple has clothy Ksitigarbha.
This is hand made Ksitigarbha.
Only 500yen.
I buy this clothy Ksitigarbha.


Nextel, I go to Hotel Okura Christmas illumination.
About 10 minutes walking from Yada temple.
Now a days, Christmas illuminations are decreasing.
This hotel illumination is beautiful, and is opening till December 25.

Kyoto Mt.Daimonji climbing Trip

I would like to inform Mt.Daimonji climbing Trip.
I ride Keihan train at Gion Shijyo.
Go to DemachiYanagi station.
Get off this station, walk east along Imadegawa street.

After Hyakumanben, Kyoto University buildings are seen.

Enter Tetsugaku No Michi, go to Ginkakuji temple.

Walk Ginkakuji temple street, I arrive at Ginkakuji temple.
30minutes walking from Demachiyanagi.


I walk north from Ginkakuji temple, turn right at Yatau shrine.
I arrive at Gyojya forest stone monument.
This is a start point of climbing Mt.Daimonji.




World's cultural heritage signboard is seen.

From this point, gradient is tight.
Cross stream, steep mountain road starts.



I arrive at Sennin-tsuka stone monument.


I turn left at this monument, arrive at a long stone steps.

I arrive at 'Daimonji Hidoko' point after 40minutes climbing.


I can see Kyoto Basin.
Today is sunny, a amazing view is seen.

View: Hyakumanben intersection is central, north is Kokusaikaikan, south is JR Kyoto station.
Final autumn leaves are seen at mountainside.


Kyoto Gozan Okuribi mountains are seen.
'Hou', 'Myo','Huna-gata','Hidari Daimonnji', 'Torii-gata' figures are seen.



Daimonji Hidoko's mountain side, Shrine is existing.
I pray this shrine.



Hidoko is a burn woods central point, also Daimonji firing figure's central pont.


From Hidoko, I can see long legs of Daimonji figure.


And Left figure and Right figure are seen.
I climb upper point of Daimonji.


I arrive at Top point of Daimonnji.

Next, I climb Top of Mt.Daimonji.

After 20minutes climbing, I arrive at Top of Mt.Daimonji.


There is view place.
I sit a wood bench, a bird view is available from south Kyoto city to Yamashina citywide.


Top is 465m height.

Taking a rest, then I go down this mountain.

Go down along Daimonji left leg.

After 40 minutes walking, I arrive at Shishigdani.


Go throgh Tetsugaku No Michi, I ride subway at Higashiyama.

This climbing mountain needs 3 hours.
You can see a splendid view of Kyoto city.

Kyoto Daikon-Daki festival Trip

I would like to inform Kyoto Daikon-Daki that is Radish boiled festival at December 6 to 8.
Kyoto Daikon-Daki cuisine has 3 types.
Type1: Boil radish with salt,
Type2: Boil radish with salt and soy sauce,
Type3: Type2 and add figure to radish



I go to Sanpoji temple at December 6.

Go to Shijo Omiya by Hankyu train.
Change train to Keifuku Randen train.
Get off at Utano station, ride a special bus to Sanpoji temple, this bus is no charege.
About 15 minutes bus riding, I arrive at Sanpoji temple.

This temple is Nichiren temple.
This Daikon-Daki cuisine is Type2: Boil radish with salt and soy sauce.
It is available to defense the Paralytic disease.

Yuzu rice is also selling at this temple.
This Festibal is from December 6 to 7 10:00-15:00.
Daikon-Daki: 700yen, Yuzu rice: 800yen.

December 7, I go to Senbon ShakaDo temple.

From JR Kyoto, I go to Senbom Imadegawa by bus.
Walk NorthEast about 5minutes, I arrive at Sembon-Shakado temple.

Main temple is oldest wooden house in Japan, has Shaka-Nyorai statue.


This temple has also a famouse Okame-Zuka.



December 7 and 8, Daikon-Daki festibal is held.
This Daikon-Daki cuisine is Type3.
Figure '梵' is added to radishes, it means to defense sickness.
When you eat radishes, please find '梵' .
Daikon-Daki is famous, so many people come to this temple.
About 12:00, very long row to Daikon-Daki.
December 7, 8 10:00～16:00 Daikon-Daki: 1000yen

Next is Myomanji temple.

Ride Kyoto subway to Kokusai-Kaikan station.
Get off this station, walk west 15 minutes.
I arrive at Myomanji temple.

This temple has tall temples.
This Daikon-Daki cuisine is Type2.
This Daikon-Daki is only 500 yen.
Not so crowded in this temple.
I recommend this temple's Daikon-Daki.
