Rinkai Park and Redblock Warehouse walking trip

I would like to inform Yokohama bay walking trip.

I go to Yokohama bay from JR Sakuragi station.
From 12minutes walking, I arrive at Pasifico Yokohama.


I go to east from Pasifico Yokohama to Rinkai Park.
I arrive at Rinkai Park.

Big Fruitestree statue is seen.

I sit a bench to see Yokohama Bay.

I walk south, soon Inter Continental Hotel is seen.

Then I arrive at Floating Pier.


I walks forward, Ferris wheel of Cosmo World is Righ side.

Yokohama Maritime disaster prevention base is seen.
KaioMaru ship is berthing.


This KaioMaru is Second generation.
This shio is a training ship for Marine training.
It is 2238 ton.

Opposite side is Redblock Warehouse.


Go forward, Yokohama Pier is existing.
That day, Diamond Princess ship is berthing.

This area is famous point of Yokohama Bay.

Musashi Kokubunji Ruin, Showa Memorial Park at Tachikawa

I would like to inform Musashi Kokubunji Ruin, Showa Memorial Park at Tachikawa.
I got off at JR West Kokubunji station.


I walk south from this station.
Cross over JR line, about 20minutes walking I arrive at Musashi Kokubunnji Park.


First is well.

I go north, walk bridge, arrive at to Circle shaped park.

Hydrangea flowers are beautiful.

This area is only park, then return to West park.
I go to Manyo plants park.


Board is shown map comparing current and Nara period.
Walk forward, Spring is seen.

Fresh waters are gushing to river.
This spring is selected Neisen 100 in Japan.
Some people drink this water.
Near this spring, small shrine is seen.

I walk forward, arrive at Romon gate.
This is admirable old gate.

I go southwest, arrive at Kokubunji Ruine.

There are Kodo, Kondo, Chumon.
Basic filling is seen at Kodo, Kondo.


Kondo is Main house of Kokubunji office.

I go Southwest, arrive at Cultural museum.
No charge.

Small museum, but officer explain old goods in detail.
Especialy lots of roof tile of Kokubunnji.
Nara period, 710-784 old period, Kokubunnji is a local government office.
Office roof adopt many tiles.

I cross JR, arrive at Kokubunniji.
This is for woman Kokubunji.




There are Amaboko, Kodo, Kondo.
This woman Kokubunji Ruine is better appearance than Kokubunnji.

I go north, enter DenKamakura road.
I return to West Kokubunji station.

Next I go to JR Tachikawa station.
Go northwest 10 minutes, I arrive at Showa Memorial Park.


This park was established for Showa emperor.
This park has a large area, surrounding Tachikawa airport.
Dream park, Flower -culture center, Meeting park, Touching park are existing.
Entrance charge is \410.

Rooftop of Flower -culture center has many flowers.



I can see a good view of Tachikawa city.

This center has also Memorial museum of Showa emperor.

Go Eastman, big pond is seen, people are enjoying playing boat.
This park is a rest park for Tachikawa citizens.
Entrance limited time is 17:00.

This trip impressive spot is Kokubunji Ruin.
Please enjoy historical Kokubunji Ruin.

Nakasendo OoijuKu at Ena city in Gifu

I would lIke to inform Ena city walking trip in Gifu.
I get off at Ena station, go south 500m, I arrive at Ooijuku.
Ooijuku is a Nakasendo main town for staying at Edo period.

Nakasendo road is spred to east-west.
I go to east.
Soon Ooijuku bridge is seen.
This bridge is decorated with many pictures of Hiroshige-Ando.
From this bridge old houses of Shukuba town at Edo period.

About 5 minutes walking, I arrive at Machikado Museum.



This museum is no charge.
It has many pictures of Hiroshige-Ando, and lots of pictures of junior highschool students at Ena.
This house was a hotel at Edo period, Meiji emperor stayed at this house.
This house keeps the Meiji emperor stayed room.
That room has a Tokonoma, emperos chair.
I'm satisfied with this museum.

I go to Hishiya museum.

Abou 3 minutes walking to east.
Charge is 300yen.




This house was Shouya, that is a big commercial shop at Edo periodic.
This museum has many dolls, Samurai's Yoroi, goods of Edo period.
Officer explains this museum in detail.

Next is Ooijmura Shoya house's gate.

I turn to left at this gate, go forward, then arrive at Jyobutsu stone Budda statues.
These stone statues are protecting this village.
Stone statues are staying obscurely.

From these statues, sloping road are starting.
Soon Sugawara shrine is seen.


From this shrine, wonderful view of Ena city.

I return to Ooijmura Shoya house's gate, I go to Spring of Kazunomiya.



This spring is famouse from Princess Kazunomiya drinking this water.
Current this spring does not have many water.

I return to west, arrive at Huruie house, that is also Shoya house.

Not opening for persons are living at this house.

I return to Ooijuku bridge, arrive at Ship harbor.

Many ships were staying at this harbor at Edo periodic.

Finaly I see the Shinanoya hotel.

This is the end of this trip.

Kano castle ruin trip in Gifu city

I would like to inform Kano castle ruin trip in Gifu city.

I ride a loop bus 10 minutes, arrive at Kano Castle.
I enter this castle from south gate.

Kano castle was built for Ieyasu-Tokugawa unification at early Edo period.

This castle is an plain castle.
Current this castle ruin is a national historical point.


This area was a center of Gifu at Edo periodic.


Edo period, this area is near the river and low plain.
So many Hori is set around this castle.

First I go to Honmaru area, current this area is a park.
There are many trees, grasses.

Tenshukaku is on the stone moat.

Tenshukaku is 3 layer and 4 floors.

Stone wall is broken at some area.

I ride a stone wall.
Honmaru park is big area.
Kano castle was big castle at Edo period.

A loop bus is only one flights per hour.

I return to Gifu station by walking.
North area of Kano castle, there are many schools.
Elementary school, and high school are seen.


Gifu tourism spots are north of JR Gifu station.

But south of Gifu station, Kano castle ruin is existing.

I recommend to visit Kano castle, that was a Center of Gifu city at Edo period.
