Iwashimizu-Hachimangu shrine Trip

I would like to inform Iwashimizu-Hachimangu shrine Trip.
I go to Iwashimizu-Hachimangu Shrine by Keihan Train from Kyoto.

Get off at Yawata-City station, ride Otokoyama Cablecar.

And climb Otokoyama mountain about 15 minutes.
You arrive at the Park, where is Edison's monument.


Edison developed Light bulb using Yawata's Bamboo.
So,Yawata city built Edison's monument to Iwashimizu-hachimangu park at 1934.
After 50 years, New Edison's monument are built in this park at 1984.
Edison's birth Festibal is held at Feb.11, that is Edison's birthday.

After park, I enter south gate to go to Iwashimizu-Hachimangu.
Main shrine is painted by bright red.

This shrine is established at 859, and one of Three biggest Yawata Shrines.

Before Setsubun day, Feb.2, Demon-yarai shrine event is held at in front of Main shrine.


Demon-yarai shrine event.
Red and Green Demons are act violently at Main Shrine.
God drive away the demons, by sowing the beans.
After event, Shinto priest behave soy beans to travelers.
After praying, I look around Main Shrine.
Go out Precinct, there are many lanterns at approaching road.
It is quaint.

Steamed bread shop is existing near this approaching road.
Hashirii-mochi is famous for this Shrine.
2 Hashirii-mochi with tea is only 350yen.
Please enjoy this Steamed bread.

Go down approaching road to Cablecar station.
Near the Cablecar station, Observatory is existing.
From observatory, we can see a wonderful landscape around Yawata city.


Go down by cablecar, you will find Edison's breast statue at rotary of Yawata station.
I understand Yawata city has a strong connection to Edison.


Please find this Edison's breast statue.

AyabeSan Plum Forest and Sanyo Train

AyabeSan Plum Forest and Sanyo Train

I would like to inform AyabeSan Plum forest Trip.

From Osaka, go to Sannomiya by Hankyu Trainn.
Change train to Sanyo Train at Sannomiya.
This train is near sea, so wonderful view is available.

Get off at Aboshi station.
Ride temporally bus to AyabeSan Plum forest about 10minutes.
AyabeSan Plum forest is near Setonaikai Sea.

You can see Yashima island, Ayajishima island from this forest.
This forest park has 24hectare and twenty thousand plum trees.
Plum blossoms are full bloom from Feb.11 - March 21.
This park has many hill road, and many splendid views.
Charge is 500yen.


For lunch, I go to Himeji, eat Grilled conger lunch 1500yen.
The baked conger is "spicy taste" , that is different from that of the eel.
　　
Next is Drama museum of Kanbei Kuroda, that is opened from Jan.12.
This Drama museum is popular, many travelor are visiting.

Kyoto Museum Trip

I would like to inform Kyoto museum trip.

1.Kyoto culture museum.
Get off at Oike station, go east about 100m along Sanjyo street, you arrive at Kyoto culture museum.

Annex building that is an old main building of Bank of Japan, is an Important cultural properties.
Annex building is a beautiful Brick building, but inner side is dilapidated, so annex building has to be repaired.

Art exhibition and culture event are held at main building that are built at 1988.
Please visit annex building, no charge.

2.Next visit is Historical museum of elementary school.
This museum is established using old elementary school at southwest of Shijo Kawaramachi.

This elementary school museum is only one.
Kyoto is developed areas of school education.
Displays are classroom, textbook, school lunch etc.
This school is a Meiji period school, so ground is small,
but building is 3 floors reinforced concrete.

At classroom area, Desk with lid at Meiji period is a convenient desk.
Lid is over the desk, easy to put textbook in the lid.
Chair of Meiji period has height adjustable bolt, it is available to chair height according to child height.
School lunch display is Meiji, Taisho, Showa period lunch.
I yearn my school lunch.
Early of Showa school lunch is nutrition, and delicious.
I remember that school lunch need a deliver meal, but eating lunch with everyone, it was a good system.

3.Kyoto National Museum
East of Nanajo along Todaiji street, there is Kyoto National Museum.
Meiji Restoration reject Buddhism, Buddha statues are broken.
This museum is opened for saving Buddha statue, has 27 national treasures.
Museum building made of red bricks and Thinking man by Rodin are famous.
Current this museum is closed, for preparing the Chishin museum.
Open is Apriln 22.

4.Customs Museum
Get off at West Honganji temple bus stop, walk along Horikawa street, you arrive at this museum.
This museum shows Genji Momogatari.
This museum has the house of Hikaru Genji, Goten, many colorful kimono figures.
It shows Genji Monogatari world.

5. Tea ceremony Museum
Get off at Horikawa Teranouchi, you arrive at this museum.
This museum shows Tea bowl, Vase, and Kakemono, arts and crafts masterpieces of tea utensils, the exhibition of historical documents.
At 2nd floor, tea room is opened, and you can try to make a Tea.
Experience of the tea ceremony needs a reservation before 7 days.

Kyoto is famous for Temple and Shrine, but museum trip is a good method for understanding Kyoto culture.

Mie prefecture Kanbe Castle, Spa Yunoyama, Aqua Ignis Trip

I would like to inform Kanbe Castle, Spa Yunoyama, Aqua Ignis Trip.

From Nagoya, I ride Kintetsu train, and get off at Suzuka City station.
About 15minures walk you arrive at Kanbe Castle Site.

This castle was established Mr. Kanbe clan at 1532.
This Tenshukaku has 5 floors small architecture.
Current, there is only stone wall.


Next is Spa Yunoyama.
I get off at Yunoyama station of Kintetsu train.
Spa Yunoyama has 1300years history.
Yunoyama is located in the foothills of Gozaishodake.
You can see the scenery rich nature, rich in scenery of each season.

This spa has 20 hotels or Japanese hotels.
This area is Suzuka national park.
In old times, deer healed wound at this spa, so we called this spa 'Deer spa'.

Gozaisho Ropeway
Ride the bus about 10 minutes to Spa Yunoyama.
Change bus to lift at Yunoyama.

Gozaisho Ropeway is modern, the length is 1262m.
Ropeway charge is 2100yen, it is expensive.
Top of Gozaisho, there is a Ski field.
Open: From January to February End.
This year, there are lots of snow.

Sangakuji Temple
This temple had few hundred Armed priests.
Current this temple is famous for lovers connection temple.
In early spring, wish to commit to paper cranes "paper cranes prayer dedication",
In October,Armed priests Festival is held with Mikoshi.

Hotel Wellness Suzukamichi
From Yunoyama station, about 7 minutes walking you arrive at this hotel.
Entering spa is only 600yen.
In winter, bus to spa Yunoyama is few, so this hotel is convenient.
Jacuzzi, large bath, open-air bath are existing, and the temperature of open-air bath is best for you.

Aqua Ignis of Spa Kataoka
This resort is 800m east from Yunoyama station.
Integrated resort and food healing are combined in Aqua Ignis.
This resort was opened at end of 2012.
