Nakanoshima Lybrary, Osaka Central Hall

I would like to inform Walking Trip of Nakanoshima Lybrary and Osaka Central Hall at Osaka City.


I ride Osaka subway from Osaka to Yodoyabashi.
Walking north from Yodoyabashi station 5minutes, I arrive at Osaka City Hall.

Around Nakanoshina we can see a lots of new buildings, and traditional ones.

First I visit Nakanoshima Lybrary that is eastside of Cityhall.

Osaka prefecture's library has two library that are Nakanoshima and HigashiOsaka.
HigashiOsaka has current normal books, Nakanoshima has Osaka's books and business books.

Nakanoshina Lybrary was built 1904, Neo Baroque style building, that is Important cultural assets of Japan.

I climb stone steps, 2nd floor is entrance.
This building has 3 floors.

Entrance panel shows "Osaka Lybrary".

I enter this lybrary, big steps are seen.


I climb 3rd floor.


Around steps, circle corridor exists.
On the ceiling, stained glass is decorated in a dome shape.

Right side is exhibition room that shows airline's goods.

I go to opposite side room.
There are many traditional books of Osaka.
This room is available for using PC.
So lots of high school students are studying in this room

Go down 2nd floor.
There are data room and rental room.

Ist floor entrance is bottom of stone steps.
This floor has many newspapers.

Next I go to Osaka Central Hall.

This hall was built 1918, that is a 3rd floor steel brick structure, neo-Renaissance style building.

Outer wall is combined brick color and stone color, it is beautiful.
3rd floor's special room has a famouce pictures of ceiling and wall.

I go down to underground.

Entrance is underground.

Underground floor has a restaurant and exhibition room.

Exhibition room shows this hall history.

Next go up to 1st floor.


1st floor has a big hall.
This day hold a university graduation.
2nd floor is a top area of 1st floor's hall.

Next I go to 3rd floor.
3rd floor has a special room.


This day is party, so restaurant members are preparing party diner.

The day that special room has not holding party or event, you can enter this room and see famous pictures.

Nakanoshima island has also park.
Please visit Osaka Oasis Nakanoshima.

Walking Trip from Kusatsu-Jyuku to Ishibe-Jyuku of Old Tokaido street in Shiga prefecture

I would like to inform Walking trip from Kusatsu Inn to Ishibe Inn.


I get off at JR Kusatsu station, find Kusatsu gate at station park.

Kusatsu Inn was an important place where Tokaido and Nakasendo meet this place.
This trip is visiting 9 places. Please see the next map.


First I go to Kusatsu Inn Honjin.

Honjin was a hotel for VIP at Edo period.
Kusatsu Inn Honjin is a biggest in Shiga prefecture.


This Honjin shows Sekifuda and Daifuku note.

Next I go to Oiwake Douhyou that is a signal for Travelors.

I feel Edo period traveling.

I walk east 20minutes, see a Dengakuchaya tea restaurant "Hokkori".

Miso Dengaku is delicious.

Walking east 30minutes, arrive at Magari-No-Jin stone statue.

This place was Yoshinao-Ashikaga's war camping place at Muromachi period.

Walk east 5minutes, arrive at Inari shrine.

This shrine's left side is JR Tehara station.

Near this shrine Tehara, there is a soy sauce house that was built at Edo period.

From Tehara to Ishibe, lots of old houses are seen.

This area is recommending place for Edo Tokaido street.

Walk 20minutes, Tokaido Ichirizuka and Rokujijo-Oldpicture stone statue.


I take a rest here.

Going east, soon arrive at Old Wachusan Shop.


This house was a drugstore and hotel at Edo period.

Meiji Tenno took a rest this house 4times.
This house entering needs advance reservation.
This house shows important Fusuma picture of Kano, and Japanese garden.





Next I go to Hyugayama Ruin.


From this mountain you can see a overall view of Kusatsu and Ishibe.

Walk east 30minites, arrive at JR Ishjbe station.
Go south east 15minites, I arrive at Ishibe Kojima-Inn Honjin Ruin.

Current only stone statue exists.
This point is end of today's trip.

This trip makes you a feeling of period Travelors.
Especialy I recommend Old Wachusan Shop.

Ono Castle Ruin at Tokoname city

I would like to inform walking trip at Ono Castle Ruin.


I ride Meitetsu train from Magoya to NoshinoKuchi station.
I walk east from this station.
About 15minutes walking, I arrive at Castle Ruin Park.

This park has Ono Castle Ruin.

Ono castle was built at 1350 by Isshiki clan, Saji clan take over this castle.
Kazunari Saji marriage to Gou princess.
Gou is a third daughter, and a niece of Nobunaga Oda.
6years ago, NHK drama "War of Gou princesse" was famouse, at that time this castle was also famouse.
Nowadays this castle does not have many travelors.

I enter this castle ruin from west gate, a park is seen.
I climb from Saji shrine gate.

Soon arrive at Ono Castle Ruine stone monument.

Left side of this monumen, Tenshukaku is existing.

Tenshukaku is made of concretes.
In front of Tenshukaku, I can see wonderful view of Ise bay.


Tenshukaku entrance is no charge.

This Castle is 2lays-3floors.
1st and 2nd floors have lots of goods of Saji clan and Gou Princess.


3rd floor is landscape floor.

Ise bay's wonderful view is seen.



At a fine day, gozaishodake, Mt.Ibuki, South-Alps mountains are seen.



I take a rest at this floor.

Next I go to Sajj shrine.
This shrine is for Saji clan shrine, has Kazunari-Saji stone statue.

I pray this shrine.
I go down this shrine, arrive at park.
I see Tenshukaku from this park, it is a splended view.


Ono Castle Ruin is convenient Castle from Nagoya, and Chubu airport.
Pleaae visit this Castle ruin.

Ure Dam, Mt.Horai walking Trip in Aichi prefecture

I would like to inform Ure Dam & Mt.Horai walking Trip in Aichi prefecture.


I ride JR Iida line from Toyohashi to Mikawa-Kawai.

I get off Mikawa-Kawai station, go to Ure Dam.


About 1 hour walking, I arrive at Ure Dam

Ure Dam was built at 1958.
Lake Hourai was made by this Dam.
Dam is opened from 8:30 to 17:00.


Around this dam, beautiful mountains are seen.

At the center of dam, I see the bottom.
When peeking down on the discharge side opposite the lake from the center of the dam just below the height, the hand holding the camera trembles.




I rest at this dam, and hear lots of bird barking.


Next I go to Yuya spring station.
I climb Horaiji temple stone paving road.

Mt.Horaiji is 695m height, and was made about 2000years ago

After climbing this road, I arrive at Gyojya ridge.


Walking forward, I arrive at Horaiji.

I pray at Main temple.

I can see Mt.Horai, and want to climb this mountain, but walking road is closing.
So I give up for climbing Mt.Horai.


I take a rest at this temple.
Mt.Horai has Konohazuku bird.

This bird is a kind of owl, crying like a "Buppo so".

This bird crys from May to June.

Next I go to Horaizan-Toshogu shrine.


After climbing steep stone steps, this shrine is seen.


This shrine was built by Tokugawa cline.
This shrine is a gorgeous color, is not seem Japanese shrine.
I pray at this shrine.
I descend Mt.Horai, then go to Yuya Hpt Spring.

This long walking trip has a fresh feeling.
Please visit Ure Dam, Mt.Horai.

Visit Fushimi Castle, Fujimori Shrine at south of Kyoto city

I would like to inform trip for Fushimi Castle, Fujimori Shrine at south of Kyoto city.


I get off at Tanbabashi station of Keihan train.
Walk east about 10 minutes, I arrive at Kanmu Tenno's grave.
This is a big grave with beautiful sands.

I walk east 5minutes, arrive at Fushimi castle.

Right side of the parking, Big castle gate is seen.

Fushimi castle is no charge.

I enter this gate, Tenshukaku & Small Tenshukaku are existing.

Entering this castle is not available, but we can look outside near Tenshukaku.
Through small park, we can see Tenshukaku in detail.

This Castle was established by Hideyoshi-Toyotomi,and rebuilt at 1964 as a part of Fushimi-Momoyama Castle Land.
It was built by concrete.
Fushimi-Momoyama Castle Land was closed at 2003, this castle was kept.
But reason of Tenshukaku & Small Tenshukaku having not keep enough strength, we can not enter these inside.

Nowadays many travelers see this castle and feel enough satisfaction, and take a picture with castle.

I see all area of castle.
Tenshukaku's wall paint has peeled off, and the stone walls having a gap.

I hope Tenshukaku will be reinforced near future.

Next I go to Fushimi Momoyama sports park.
There are soccer field, baseball field.


Next I go to Fushimi North moat park.


In this park, you can enjoy cherry blossoms in spring and autumn leaves in automn.
People living near area are enjoying jogging at this park.

Next I go to Fujimori shrine.
Walk 15 minutes, arrive at Fujimori shrine.

This shrine was built at 203, and it's god is Horse and fortunes of war.
Current this shrine gathers faith of horse race related persons and fans.
I enter from south gate.

There is a house where a picture of a horse race was drawn.

I go further, there is a hall of worship, and there is a statue of Horse in the west side.

Go forward, a main hall in the back of the hall of worship, I pray here.


There is a famous water called "Fuji's water" on the east side of the main hall.

People are drawing water.
It seems to be delicious water.
Hydrangea and ginkgo are beautiful shrines.

Fushimi castle and Fujimori Shrine are both free to enter.
Please visit before you dismantle.
