"Hirugami no Mori hot spring " is open for golden weeks for one day bathing.
This hotel's one day bathing is very cheap, only ¥600.

I enter this hotel one day bathing.
This hot spring has a public bath and open-air bath.


This hot water is little bit low temperature, but my body becomes hot.
Entering this hot water is limitted within 10 minutes.

After entering the bath, we will explore the tree-lined street on the banks of the Achigawa River.
The refreshing wind from the mountain is pleasant.
At Achi River, parents and children are playing in the river.


This Hirugami hot spring is close to Nagoya, and close to the central highway.

Nagano convenient Hot spring near JR Nagano station

I would like to inform the convenient Hot spring near JR Nagano station.

Nagano has many hot springs.
But near the JR Nagano staion, hot spring does not exist.

At 2002, Yumoto-Uruoi hot spring was bilt north of Nagano prefectural office.
I ride Nagano loop bus from JR Nagano station to Nagano prefectural front.

Walk north along the river about 10minutes, I arrive at Yumoto-Uruoi hot spring.

Entrance charge is ¥670.
This spring has 2 type hot springs, Gold one and Silver one.

It has many baths that are Outdoor bath, Jet bath, Hit bath, Sauna bath.
Outdoor bath is a big scale.

At the north of parking, foot bath is also existing.

This hot spring has many guests, about 30% guests are foreign travelors.
Staying this hot ring for 1hour, you can relax and reflesh.

South of this hot spring, Sukitei restaurant exists.

This restaurant has famouse Sukiyaki and Shabshab menues.

The Shinshu beef is delicious.

This restaurant also has the Oyu house.


This is a traditional house.

Awara hot spring and Awara City walking trip

I would like to inform Awara city trip in Fukui prefecture.


I ride JR Thunder Bird super express for 2 hours from Osaka to Fukui.
I ride Echizen train from Fukui to Awara hot spring town station.

In front of the station, there are Awara Hot spring town.



There are Awara Hot spring town Restaurants, Fujino Genkurou museum, Leg Hot spring in front of this station.

Leg hot spring has 3types baths、low/middle/hot temperature bath, and many high school students and travelors.

I warm for a while.

Next I go to Hot spring town Restaurants.

I eat Oden and drink Sake.
Oden is very good.
I stay at Hot spring hotel.
This hot spring hotel has a good Hot spring.
I heal the tiredness of the trip by taking a hot spring.

Next morning, I walk around Awara hot spring town.

Center of this town, AshinoTori street is a beautiful street.

Walk around this city, then I go to Fujino Genkurou museum.

This museum was built with Fujino old house.


Genkuro-Fujino was a doctor, he educate Rojin, who is a chinese nobelist.
This old house has been beautifully rebuilt, and it is spectacular.

Next I go to JR Awara-hot-spring station by bus.

I go to Senzoku- Ichirizuka.
Walking from JR Awara hot spring station needs 30minutes.

This is a Milestone, that was set up every 1 ri (4 km) in the main roads across the country starting from the Edo Nihonbashi in the Edo period. There were mounds on both sides of the east and west, but they were destroyed, only the western mounds exist. There is a big Enoko on the embankment.


Next I go to Kanazu castle's house ruin.

This has only earthen wall.

Awara City is the city where Awara hot spring town station and Awara-hot-spring station are centered. Many hot spring customers visit from Kansai and Nagoya, and many of the inns at Awara Hot spring are full of reserved guests. Because there is no business hotel, please reserve the and relax in the hot spring hotel.

Ancient famous Spa Arima walking Trip

Famous Spa Arima in Hyogo pref. walking trip

I would like to inform Spa Arima Trip.
Start is JRKobe station, I go to Shinkaichi station of Kobe Dentetsu.
About 10 minutes walking, I arrive at Shinkaichi station.
I buy set ticket with Taiko-no-Yu, 2100yen.
Ride train about 40 minutes, I arrive at Arima station.
This ticket is available to end of March.
From April, new set ticket will be planned.

Spa Arima is located at North of Mt Rokko, and called Kansai Salon Spa.
Spa Arima history:
Emperor Jyomei stayed this spa at 631.
Monk Gyoki established Onsen temple.
Taikou Hideyoshi loved and refined this Spa town.

Getting off at Arima station, you can see Taiko bridge and Taiko Statue.
North of this bridge, Nene bridge and Nene Statue.
Taiko is sitting, Nene is standing.
Walking along Arima river about 7minutes, you arrive at Spa Taiko-no-Yu.

Present Coupon ticket at Reception, you can get Yukata and towel.
Yukata has blue, pink, gold color.
I select gold one.
Reception is 2nd floor, spa is 3rd floor, Roten-buro is rooftop.
This spa inner wall is gold.
Bath depth is shallow, and spa temperature is low.
This spa has brown one and transparency one.

This spa is crowded. Bedrock bath is not crowded, I enjoy this bath.
I stay at this spa about one hour.

I walk around Arima town.

I visit Sources carbonated spring park.


This park has Shrine.
You can drink Carbonated water beside shrine.
Carbonated water is mixed iron.


Next is Spa Gin-no-Yu.
This spa is full house.
I recommend to buy Gin-no-Yu and Kin-no-Yu common ticket, 840yen.
This spa has enough heigh and temperature.


Kobe city manage Kin-no-Yu and Gin-no-Yu.
Kin-no-Yu is renewaled at 2002,Gin-no-Yu is opened at 2001.
Spa Arima has 2 type Spas.
Brown one is ancient spa Kin-no-Yu, transparency one is new spa Gin-no-yu.

After Gin-no-Yu, I go through Nenbutsu temple and Gokuraku temple,
arrive at Monk Gyoki statue.
This statue is famous, please take a picture.
Near this statue, Arima rest house is existing.
I enter and buy Arima Cider 250yen.

Arima Carbonated water is not string and not sweet, it is new taste.
Seeing Gokuraku Source of hot spring, go to Kin-no-Yu.

Kin-no-Yu is more crowded than Gin-no-Yu.
I have to wait 20minutes.


Kin-no-Yu has hotter spa and normal temperature spa.
I enter hotter one. I think Kin-no-Yu spa is best spa in Spa Arima.
But very crowded, please care your leg, because someone hot your legs.

West of Kin-no-Yu, stone steps is seen at left side.

I crimb this steps, then arrive at Yusen Shrine.
From this shrine, you can see wide view of Rima town.



Return to Kin-no-Yu, north of this spa, Old folk houses are seen along street.
Its Retro feeling is good.

I buy Steamed bread Nene, inside of this is Gyuhi, it is good taste.

Last visit is Tenjin Source of hot spring.

I return to Arima station.

Arima town is Spirited town.
I recommend to enter Kin-no-Yu, and Gin-no-Yu.

Kinosaki hot Spring trip

I would like to inform Kinosaki hot Spring in north of Hyogo pref.

Going to Kinosaki by JR Sanin line trough Fukuchiyama, 2.5hours from Kyoto.


Kinosaki hot spring has 1300years history, and 7 famous Hot Springs.
I buy One day free ticket for 7 springs 1200yen.


Satono-yu
In front of the Kinosaki station, this spring is existing.
This spring has a Super Sento system.
Big bath and not so many people.

Jizo-yu
Jizo-son was born from this spring.
Big Toro is near the entrance, hexagon window of this building is designed from Genbu rock.
Jet bath is comfortable.

Yanagi-yu
This spring is welling up from willow tree that was planted from Lake West in China.
This bath is small, deep bath is comforatable.
But lots of people are entering this bath, it is difficult to enter.

Ichino-yu
Spring doctor said this spring is the best one, so this spring is called Ichino yu.
This spring is cent of Kinosaki town.
Rock bath is famous and has a steam effect.


Goshono-yu
This spring is opened from 2005, newest spring.
Sky bath, Waterfall bath are famous.
Waterfall bath has three waterfalls.
This spring is also lots of people.

Kono-yu
Stork injury was healed at this spring 1400years ago.
So,this spring is called Kono yu.
This spring is little bit away from town.
This spring is calm spring, not so many people enter this bath.
Open-air bath has beautiful garden, you can relax.

Mandara-yu
This spring was discovered 717years ago.
This spring has a barrel bath.
You can relax in this barrel bath.
Not so many people are entering.

Minimum 3.5 hours and enough body power are necessary for entering 7 springs.
I recommend 4 springs for one day.
Young people are available for entering 7 springs.

Kinosaki spring has a traditional town with river and willow tree.
Walking around this town with Yukata and Geta is relaxing for you.

Winter season is best for Kinosaki spring.
