Hakone Pleasure Boat trip

I would like to introduce a journey through Hakone Ashinoko by a pleasure boat.

Get on Hakone Tozan Railroad from Odawara and get off at Hakone Yumoto.


Get on the bus from here to Moto Hakone.

From here, I ride the Ashinoko pleasure boat at Moto Hakone Port.
A 30-minute course to see the south side of Lake Ashi departs at intervals of 30-40 minutes and is convenient.


On this day, I enjoy the Lake Ashi on the top floor deck at fine weather.
Please take a popular pirate ship on the Hakone pirate ship.
Pirate ships are full of group customers.

Shortly after departing, you can see the Hakone shrine.

Here you can go to Torii by walking along the shore of Lake Ashi.
The contrast of vermillion torii and mountain trees is beautiful.


 Next you can see the green roof of the Dragon palace.

Dragon Palace has a day-trip hot spring, and you can see the magnificent view of Lake Ashi in an outdoor bath.

From this around Mt. Fuji can be seen beyond Lake Ashi.
Mt. Fuji is touched fine and beautiful at all times.


The ship change direction to the south here and will operate the western side of Lake Ashi.

People are full of decks.

The ship stops at Hakone Checkpoint port in half an hour.
If you are going to Hakone Checkpoint gate, please get off here.
Boat is returning to Moto Hakone Port in 35 minutes.

From now on Lake Ashi will become even more beautiful in the season of autumn leaves.
When you have a time, a pirate ship (¥ 1840) to see the whole Ashinoko in 70 minutes is convenient.
In Hakone area, there are many tourists from Tokyo, and on Saturdays and Sundays it is crowded.
I recommend you go here on weekdays.

Walking around Nada Sake's Nishinomiya Township

I would like to inform Sake Kura in Hyogo prefecture.
There are five Kura ereas of 'Nada Sake', this time I shows 'Nishinomiya Town' located on the east side of it.

Take the Hanshin train from Kobe or Osaka, get off at Nishinomiya station.
From Hanshin Nishinomiya station, go south, and go through the Hanshin Expressway,
there is Nishinomiya Town.

As you go east of Route 43, a stone monument 'Birthplace of Miya water' is seen. About 10 minutes on foot from Nishinomiya station.

There is 'Miya water' discovered here during the Edo era, and Sake breweries squeeze this water and make 'Nada no sake'.

From here go east is 'Miya Water Garden'.

Since there is a fence here and it is not open, we look at the garden over the fence.
The wells of Ozeki, Hakushika, Shirataka are under the hemispherical covering made of stainless steel.
Around here, there is a Miyamizu well such as KikuMasamune.


Returning to the west from here, heading to Hakutaka head office.

Hakutaka was founded in 1862 in the Edo Period, and manufactures Ise Shrine 's sake and high class sake.

On the south side of this company is Hakutaka Rokusuien.

Hakutaka RokusuienShirataka is holding an exhibition about sake making and liquor life at sake brewery.
In the building which reproduced the residence of the brewery of Hakutaka, selling Hakutaka's Sake, providing lifestyle and culture of Nada's brewery and restaurant.





Restaurant Tokyo Chikuyotei offers eel dish and Sake.

Especially, reservation is necessary on Saturdays and Sundays dinner.

Nishinomiya Township is near Osaka and Kobe, and enjoy the Japanese sake culture that continues from the Edo period.

Giant gibbon monkey at Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical garden

I would like to inform Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Garden in Nagoya City.
To Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens, you can get off at Higashiyama Koen Station by subway Higashiyama line from Nagoya Station, and it can be reached in 5 minutes on foot.




Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Garden is 2nd largest one in Japan, following Ueno Zoo.

We will enter from the gate of the zoo. Admission is ¥500.
After awhile, cross the bridge which goes to the amusement park on the left side, there is a Giant gibbon monkey on the right side.
Male and female are moving in the cage.


Male Keiji with a voice "Ah!" of human father became famous.
Keiji is usually crowing with the voice of a monkey, only when he is in a good mood, crows "Ah!" loudly.

Keiji does not crow "Ah!" loudly.

Suddenly he open a big mouth after 40 minutes waiting, he fly with long hands while crowing "Ah!" loudly.


It is hard to put it in the camera.
After a while it began to rain and two monkeys are transferred to indoor playground.
Until the rain stops, they are playing indoor playground, but he does not crow with loud voice.

For those who could not hear the his crowing, the crowing can be heard by the post card with QR Code ¥250, is prepaired.

This zoo can feed animals and is very popular with child.
Since 10 am, zoo distribute 'participating tickets' on the first-come-first-served basis in front of event announcement signs in front of each animal house, so if you can get a numbered ticket you can experience feeding.
You can feed on giraffe, elephants, hippopotamus, kangaroo etc.

In this zoo you can see lots of animals including koalas, elephants, male bears on a large site.


There is also a botanical garden, planting the eucalyptus tree for the koala's bait in the botanical garden.
