Ancient famous Spa Arima walking Trip

Famous Spa Arima in Hyogo pref. walking trip

I would like to inform Spa Arima Trip.
Start is JRKobe station, I go to Shinkaichi station of Kobe Dentetsu.
About 10 minutes walking, I arrive at Shinkaichi station.
I buy set ticket with Taiko-no-Yu, 2100yen.
Ride train about 40 minutes, I arrive at Arima station.
This ticket is available to end of March.
From April, new set ticket will be planned.

Spa Arima is located at North of Mt Rokko, and called Kansai Salon Spa.
Spa Arima history:
Emperor Jyomei stayed this spa at 631.
Monk Gyoki established Onsen temple.
Taikou Hideyoshi loved and refined this Spa town.

Getting off at Arima station, you can see Taiko bridge and Taiko Statue.
North of this bridge, Nene bridge and Nene Statue.
Taiko is sitting, Nene is standing.
Walking along Arima river about 7minutes, you arrive at Spa Taiko-no-Yu.

Present Coupon ticket at Reception, you can get Yukata and towel.
Yukata has blue, pink, gold color.
I select gold one.
Reception is 2nd floor, spa is 3rd floor, Roten-buro is rooftop.
This spa inner wall is gold.
Bath depth is shallow, and spa temperature is low.
This spa has brown one and transparency one.

This spa is crowded. Bedrock bath is not crowded, I enjoy this bath.
I stay at this spa about one hour.

I walk around Arima town.

I visit Sources carbonated spring park.


This park has Shrine.
You can drink Carbonated water beside shrine.
Carbonated water is mixed iron.


Next is Spa Gin-no-Yu.
This spa is full house.
I recommend to buy Gin-no-Yu and Kin-no-Yu common ticket, 840yen.
This spa has enough heigh and temperature.


Kobe city manage Kin-no-Yu and Gin-no-Yu.
Kin-no-Yu is renewaled at 2002,Gin-no-Yu is opened at 2001.
Spa Arima has 2 type Spas.
Brown one is ancient spa Kin-no-Yu, transparency one is new spa Gin-no-yu.

After Gin-no-Yu, I go through Nenbutsu temple and Gokuraku temple,
arrive at Monk Gyoki statue.
This statue is famous, please take a picture.
Near this statue, Arima rest house is existing.
I enter and buy Arima Cider 250yen.

Arima Carbonated water is not string and not sweet, it is new taste.
Seeing Gokuraku Source of hot spring, go to Kin-no-Yu.

Kin-no-Yu is more crowded than Gin-no-Yu.
I have to wait 20minutes.


Kin-no-Yu has hotter spa and normal temperature spa.
I enter hotter one. I think Kin-no-Yu spa is best spa in Spa Arima.
But very crowded, please care your leg, because someone hot your legs.

West of Kin-no-Yu, stone steps is seen at left side.

I crimb this steps, then arrive at Yusen Shrine.
From this shrine, you can see wide view of Rima town.



Return to Kin-no-Yu, north of this spa, Old folk houses are seen along street.
Its Retro feeling is good.

I buy Steamed bread Nene, inside of this is Gyuhi, it is good taste.

Last visit is Tenjin Source of hot spring.

I return to Arima station.

Arima town is Spirited town.
I recommend to enter Kin-no-Yu, and Gin-no-Yu.

Nagoya Castle building Honmaru-Goten

I would like to inform Nagoya Castle Trip.
Current Nagoya castle Honmaru, that is main castle house, is building now.

From JR Nagoya station, I buy a subway's one-day free ticket 600yen, and ride subway.
Get off at City hall station, you can see Nagoya Castle.
5minutes walking, you arrive at Castle east entrance.
I buy a castle ticket by presenting a subway's one-day ticket, then entrance fee is discounted from 500yen to 400yen.

Nagoya castle Tenshukaku was built at 1959.
Honmaru is a national treasure, it is a famous treasure same as Nino-maru of Kyoto Nijo castle, but it is burn out at World War 2nd.

First I go to Tea house, and drink Green Tea with Pastry set 525yen.
Pastry is delicious.


Near Nino-Maru park, Kiyomasa Kato statue is existing.
Please take a picture with Kiyomasa statue.


I enter Honmaru from Nino-maru gate.


Building Honmaru will be finished at March 2018.
Current Honmaru is finished 30%.
Entrance and Drawing room are open to the public.
First is Tiger's picture with golden Background on the sliding door, made by Kano school.
Weasel, Plum blossom, Pine tree pictures on the sliding door are seen.
They are Gorgeous and beautiful.


Near the entrance, building Honmaru is availble to see.
I wear a helmet, climb steps.
From third floor, we can see Building site.

Liangs are constructed without nail by hand.
Lots of Cypress trees are gathered in Nagoya for building Honmaru.


Next is Tenshukaku.
This Tenshukaku is built by Reinforced concrete.
To 7th top floor, elevator is available.
Top floor, you can see Nagoya city.

From 5 to 2 floor, lots of displays are existing.
Try to pull stone by rope, Sit a Golden Shachi fish, Edo period Nagoya city,
Armors, etc.

After Tenshukaku, at Nino-maru Park, Omotenashi Samuraies play war show.
Kiyomasa Kato, Toshide Maeda are playing.
It is a earnest show.

Current Nagoya castle has lots of sightseeing places.

Please visit Nagoya Castle.

Kyoto Around Gosho Trip

I would like to inform Walking around Gosho Trip.

First to visit Kyoto Prefectural government.
Ride subway, get off at Marutamachi station.

Walk Muromachi street 200m north.
Turn left, and walk Shimodachiuri street about 10 minutes.
Then you arrive at Kyoto Prefectural government.

Please enter this government from east gate, for south gate is closed at Saturday.
In front of gate, Old office building is existing.
This building is Gothic building, beautiful.

Interior woods are broken, so current repairing this building.

6 cherry trees are in the center garden.
Center one is weeping cherry tree from Maruyam park.
South west one is called Katamori cherry tree, because it is planted at the ruin place of Mr.Katamori's Kyoto government office at end of Edo period.
April you can see a wonderful cherry blossoms.

Next is lunch, from government 50m distance, Machiya Maruko restaurant is good one.
This restaurant has Washoku and Sake.

Lunch has some Sets, from 850 to 1150 yen.
This restaurant is a modified old house, digging floor and Tatami room, total 5 rooms.
I select Conger Tenpura set.
It is elegant taste.

Sake kinds are lots and reasonable charge.
This restaurant is popular at Kyoto.


Next visit is Go-Ou shrine, near Gosho.

This shrine has Kiyomaru Waki God.
Wild boar guide Kiyomaru Waki going to Kyushuu, and cure his leg and waist.
Wild boar is a guardian deity of this shrine.
Wild boars are sitting instead of Lion-dog.
People say that praying this shrine makes people's legs and loins cured.

In front of this shrine, Gosho is existing.
Through Hamaguri-Gmon gate, big field is spread.

Gravels are coverd, Gosho walls are reprinted, it's beautiful.

Gosho area has many trees, that are planted at ruins of government offices and houses after capital is changed to Tokyo.
Current trees are grown to bigger, that are forest.

Walk around Gosho to south west end, there is Old house of Jyo Niijima, who is a builder of Doshisha University.
Entering this house needs reservation to Doshisha office.

Then go to Marutamachi station of subway.
Total trip needs about 4 hours.

Shiga Odani Castle Ruin Trip

I would like to inform Odani castle climbing trip.
Odani castle was a Azai Nagamasa's Castle, is famous for death place of Oichi-no
-Kata, who is a sister of Nobunaga Oda.
Azai Nagamasa was a Feudal lord of north Shiga, at a Warring States period.

Go to Nagahama for eating lunch.
I eat Curry of Ohmi beef, and Croquette of Ohmi beef.
Croquette is delicious.

Go to Kawake station.
At Kawake station, community bus is available to ride for Odani castle ruin.
In front of this station, Statue of Azai Nagamasa and Oichi-no-Kata.

Odani castle is a mountain castle about 500m height.

Foot of Odani mountain, War history museum is existing.
This museum shows Azai clan's history, Anegawa war, Azai Nagamasa's family.

Odani castle is top area of Odani mountain.
This mountain is steep, March 8 is a snow falling day, there is 20cm snow covering of the road.

In front of museum, this is a starting point of Castle climbing.

First to enter Ote-road, 20 minutes walking, I arrive at Magara-Toge Pass.
Take a short break.

Next point is observatory.
You can see a wide view of Nagahama city.

Next is a Kingomaru ruin, that was a small castle.

Then arrive at Bansho, that was a gate of castle.
Car road is reaching to this Bansho.

This place shows a wonderful view of Lake Biwa and Chikubu island.

Next is Chaya-ruin, that was a base point of castle army.

Around this mountain, bear and Antelope are living, please care bear.
Next is Umaya-ruin, that is a army horse house.

5minutes walk, arrive at Kubisue-stone, that was Exposure of Traitor.

Next is Akao-House, that was a Vassal's house.

Soon arriving at Azai Vassal's grave.

Over this grave, big field is seen.
This is a Ohiroma-ruin.

Over this field, climb stone wall, I arrive at Honmaru.
About 50 minutes walking from start.
This Honmaru is not big.

After Honmaru, government house, Nakamaru, Kyogokumaru, Komaru are seen.

Then arrive at Sannoumaru, that is a north gate house.

After Sannoumaru, downhill is starting.
This downhill is little bit danger.
Please take care.

Next is Rokubou ruin, that was 6 temples are gathered place.

Climbing 30minutes, I arrive at Oduku castle ruin.
This is a top of Odani mountain. From strating, 90 minutes climbing.


This area has many trees, so we can not see a wide view.
Lots of snows are falling, it is cold.
I take a rest.

Descending from top of mountain needs only 1 hour.

Foot of Odani mountain, I buy Oden at convenient shop.
I take a rest, eating hot Oden.
Community bus is not many.
So, I walk to Kawake station, about 20 minutes.


This Odani castle climbing has a long distance, steep road, snow falling.
When early spring, climbing Odani castle needs mountain climbing wear and shoes.

After spring to autumn, this is a best season for climbing Odani castle.

Kyoto Plum Blossoms Trip

I would like to inform Plum blossoms Trip of Jyonangu shrine and Kitano-tenmangu shrine.

From Kyoto station, I ride subway to Takeda station.
Get off at Takeda station, 15 minutes walking, I arrive at Jyonangu shrine.


Jyonangu is famous for Weeping plum blossoms.

Weeping plum blossoms festival is opened till March 21.

Jyonangu shrine is built at Heian period.
Cherry blossoms Park entrance chargr is 600yen.
This park has 150 plum trees, that are white, red, pink blossoms.
March 2, weeping plum blossoms are 50% full bloom, but beautiful.

This park is existing around shrine.
Aftet plum trees, I arrive at Heian park.
Heian park has brook, moss and some plants.
Kyokusui-no-En, that is a Heian famous Waka festival, is held at 4/29 and 11/3.
Aristocracies are sit along this brook, and make Waka.

After Heian park, I cross approaching road, enter next park.
Next park has big pond and Tea room.


Next visit is Toba-Rikyu-park.
This park has Toba-fushimi war monument, and war map.
At end of Tokugawa period, Bakuhu army figh to Satsuma and Choshu army at this park.
Current, this is a citizen's park.



I ride subway to Kyoto, ride JR Fukuchiyama Line, get off at Enmachi station.
About 15 minutes walk to north, I arrive at Kitano-tenmangu Shrine.
Lots of bus and taxi are gathering in front of this Shrine.

Plum blossoms festival is held till end of March.
Charge is 600yen, including tea and confection.
Lady invites me no charge ticket, so I can enter without charge.
Thank you lady.

This park had 50kinds and 1500 plum trees, they are 70% full bloom at March 2.
East end of this park, there are river and plum trees, very beautiful Heian Garden.
This garden is modified Earthwork that was mde by Hideyoshi Toyotomi.

I eat plum tea and pancake at tearoom.


In front of main shrine, many Test-takers are lined.

Plum blossoms in Kyoto is available to see till end of March.
Please visit Jyonangu and Kitano-Tenmangu Shrine.
