Utsubo Park at Osaka city

I would like to inform Utsubo park walking trip.

I ride Osaka subway from Osaka to Honmachi.
Walk Northwest from Honmachi station 10 minutes, I arrive at Utsubo park.

This park consists East park and West park.
East park has trees and plants garden, West park has sports ground area.
I enter East park.


Rowside trees of Camphor tree and Zelkova, and Metasequoia, Enoki, hydrange etc are planted in this park.
Trees and plants are kept good condition, and some benches are set.
Going forword, a big Phoenix tree is seen.

At the center of East park, 3 sets of young family dolls are seen.




These dolls are seen same as real human.
Going forword, a rose garden is seen.





Rose garden has many kinds of rose.
Till early of July, we can see beautiful roses.

Please visit Utsubo garden, and make refresh.

Nagai plant park, Nature history museum of Osaka city

I woul like to inform Nagai plant park, Nature history museum of Osaka city at Nagai Park.


I ride subway from Osaka to Nagai.

Get off at Nagai station, walk east 10 minutes, arrive at Nagai plant park entrance.

Nagai plant park includes Nature history museum of Osaka city.
Entrance charge is ¥300.

This plant park has about 1200 kinds plants.

I enter and turn right at pond, then arrive at Nature history museum.

This museum has a huge model of dinosaur bone and Nauman elephant etc,
and has lots of animals and plants historical displays.



This museum is good at for the family with children.

Auditorium is also set in this museum.
It holds lectures for animals and plants.


Then I go to plant park.
I see lots of autumn leaves and the flower beds where pansies are planted.



From middle of November to early of December is a autumn leaves season.
Please enjoy autumn leaves.


Illumination starts from November 25.
Period November 25 to December 25.
Entrance charge is ¥500.

Nagai park and plant park is in Osaka city.
So lots of citizens are enjoying sports, nature.
When you go to south of Osaka city, please refresh this park and botanical garden.

Rikugien, Kyu-Furukawa Gardens at Komagome in Tokyo

I would like to inform Rikugien, Kyu-Furukawa Gardens at Komagome.


I ride JR Yamanote Line, get off at Komagome station, walk south 7minutes.
I arrive at Rikugien.
I enter from red brick gate.

Entrance charge is 300 yen.

Rikugien was built by Yoshiyasu Yanagisawa at 1702.
This garden is keeping Edo period condition.
This garden is famous garden in Tokyo.

From inner garden gate, Japanese garden starts.

Pine trees are set on the lawn.

Go ahead, big pond and island are seen.

Left side, Takimi Chaya, small waterfall, Chidiri bridge are seen.
This area is not hot at summer.

Go ahead, arrive at Hukiage Chaya.
You can drink Japanese tea.

Go ahead, Fujishiro Toge is seen.
I climb this pass, overall wonderful view of pond is seen.

This park has many dragonflies, butterflies, birds.
It is natural paradise.


Next I walk north 20minutes, arrive at Kyu-Furukawa Gardens.

Entrance charge is 150yen.

This garden was built by Furukawa zaibatsu at 1917.

Western house and western garden are designed by Mr.Josiah Conder.
Japanese garden are designed by Mr.Harubei Ogawa.

Western garden is designed Italian and French style.


Rose flower's full blooming is May and October.
At these seasons, many travelers visit this garden.

I enter this garden, soon western house is seen.

Western house's outer wall is stones.
1st floor has Dining room, billiards room, hospitality space.
2nd floor has living rooms.

There are 3times Guide tours for seeing western house.
When you pay 800yen, you can enter western house.

Go ahead, Japanese garden is seen.
Japanese garden has pond, island and trees.

Rikugien and Kyu-Furukawa Gardens are admirable garden.

For loving nature people, Rikugien is suitable.
For desiring to see western house/garden, Kyu-Furukawa Gardens is best.

Please visit these gardens.

Shuzennji Nijino-Sato Trip

I would like to inform enjoying Shuzenji-Nijino-Sato trip.


I ride Izu-Hakone train from JR Mishima station.
Get off at Shuzenji station.
I ride a Tokai buss for 20minutes, get off at Nijino- Satp buss stop.
Near the buss stop, Nijino-Sato entrance gate is seen.


This park is 1.5km west from Shuzenji hot spring.
Entrance charge is 1200yen.
This park has United Kingdom village, Canada Village, theme park and Garden.
The scale is same as Tokyo Deseney land.

Near the entrance, United Kingdom village is existing.
This village shows The Middle Ages of the United Kingdom town.
It has also Toy-museum, Railway-museum, shops.

Toy museum has tin toy, Teddy Bear , such as the French circus dolls, exhibiting many antique toys.

Railway museum has United Kingdom railway and steam locomotive history.
It explains well steam locomotive's structure and operating principle.

Kings Cross ( Power Stone Shop) is a shop dealing with a power stone from the classic natural stone until the rare stone . Production experience of the original bracelet to make a combination of the gel candle production and their favorite stone using items such as glasswork and shells you can.

I ride a Romny railway, steam locomotive.
Charge is 400yen.


Romny railway connect United Kingdom village and Canada village, only 1km trip.

You can see a United Kuingdom's landscape.

Canada village shows Nerson city town.
This village has Merson Hall, restaurants and gift shops.

Next is Indian Fort.
This area is amusement area.
This area is for children , there are slide and a jungle gym.


Next is Fairy-Garden.
This is Englis big garden, flowers are seen in all seasons.


I go to Japanese Garden.

Many Japanese trees and pond are seen.
Soseki-Satsume Museum is opened.
I think Japanese garden is not fitted in English park.


The following is Takumi village .
Japanese style of the building is lined , traditional craft of artisans such as print Pottery, papermaking, you can enjoy such as the experience of Nature Craft

Final is Izu village.

It has gifts, restaurants.

When you stay at Shuzenji Hot spring, go to Nijino-Sato village at next day.
Enjoy United Kingdom town, and garden.

Battleship Mikasa at Mikasa Park in Yokosuka

I go to Yokosuka by Keikyu train from Shinagawa Tokyo.


I would like to inform Mikasa Park in Yokosuka.

Yokosuka city has USA Navy camp, and Japanese Navy camp.
Near the Keikyu Yokosuka-Chuo station, some American Navy soldiers are walking.
About 10 minutes walking from Yokosuka-Chuo station, I arrive at Mikasa park.




, This park has Battleship Mikasa, that is a hero ship at Russo-Japanese War.
I enter this ship.
Charge is 600 yen.

I climb deck,and go to the big cannon.
The big cannon has 30cm shells.



I was surprised at seeing the big cannon.

Next I go to side cannon.
Side cannon has an adjustable Gun barrel.


Next I go to Video Room, that shows Russo-Japanese War, and Battleship Mikasa's history.

This Battleship Mikasa was made at English ship company.
The ship enter the sea at 1900.
This ship battle makes Japan to win Russo.

I don't know Mikasa was made by England.
This ship runs faster than Russian's ship.


I climb from the front of the ship to command room, we watched the bow from the top floor of the deck. Bow and artillery, City of Yokosuka, the Mikasa park.
This is a wonderful view.


I go down to bottom floor.
This floor shows Mikasa's rooms, and displays furnitures.





This floor's bow area has big Auditorium.


Mikasa is available to touch many parts.
