September is Shiratama hoshikusa is the best time

I would like to inform Shiratama hoshikusa blossom in full bloom at Odaka green space in Midori-ku Nagoya-city.


Shiratama hoshikusa is a Japanese endemic species and is a plant growing on the limited damp ground of the Tokai district.
This blossom is 1cm diameter and see a short hair of the white like a white ball.
Shiratama hoshikusa‘s name is based on the many flower view seemed to firefly dancing.
The height improves to around 20-40cm and is from the end of August to October in flowering season.
All over September is in full blossom．

I arrive at "Narumi Station" in Meitetsu Nagoya Railroad from Nagoya Station for approximately ten minutes.



From Narumi Station,by taxi in five minutes I enter Odaka green space and go and get off at Hanakien the taxi.
The south side is Shiratama hoshikusa area.

It is surrounded with a fence and a rope, but can observe the thing nearly the rope slowly and carefully.

The flower is like the leek Buddhist priest, but it is collected in a ball with one color of white and is beautiful.


After observing Shiratama hoshikusa blossom,I recommend to walk through the garden of the Odaka green space.
And finally go to Biwaga- pond at the north end.
Go to Sakyoyama Station of Meitetsu on foot from here for approximately ten minutes and can come back at riding normal train to Nagoya from here.

Let’s see a flower in a marsh at Aichi Prefecture Forest Park

I would like to inform to seeing a flower in a marsh at Aichi Prefecture Forest Park.

It's arrival by freeway pass and about 1 hour by car from Nagoya to Aichi-ken arboretum.

I recommend to go to the 2nd parking lot where even a holiday is uncrowded.
I enter Botanical garden from North gate.
Entrance charge is ¥210.

I go to the pavilion through a rock garden.

The pavilion shows creature which lives in Aichi Prefecture Forest Park.



Next I go to Broad lawn square.
When I lie at a vast lawn, it's pleasant.

Next I go to the Iwamoto pond through water garden.

A lot of River cormorants are living, and it's possible to observe this bird to flying from pond surface.

When I walk on a shore in a pond, it's arrival in a C marsh.

There are 4 marshes in an arboretum, and the big area has been secured.
I go around with A marsh, a G marsh and a F marsh from a C marsh.

The following flowers are seen in July.
Mosen moss : F marsh and C marsh

Tokai Comosen Moss : F marsh

Sagi grass : A and F marsh

Shimaji Tamura grass: G marsh

Mimikaki grass: F marsh

A sign stands near the flower, so please see around it.

Sagi grass is beautiful in particular.

Hacho dragonfly can also see at a F marsh.

MENARD Aoyama herb garden where flowers of sage are in full bloom

A herb garden in southern MENARD Aoyama in Iga-shi, Mie is introduced this time.
A car is convenient and access is about 2 hours through a freeway from Osaka and Nagoya.

Kyoto Botanical Garden

I would like to inform Kyoto Botanical Garden.



I ride subway from Kyoto to Kitayama station.
I get off Kitayama statiin, arrive at Kitayama gate.

Entrance charge is ¥200.

This Botanical Garden has 3 entrances, that are Main gate, Kamogawa gate and Kitayama gate.


This Botanical Garden was opened at 1924.
It has 24 hectare, 120000plants are planted.

After seeing hydrangea, go through the button, peony plant, go to the flower bed with the fountain.



I will see western flower beds and huge Himalayan cedar from the fountain to the rose garden.
I will head to a wonderful greenhouse in the west of the botanical garden.
Greenhouse requires 200 yen at extra charge.
The greenhouse's jungle is hot and humid with summer hot in the summer, but the alpine plant area is air conditioned and comfortable. Please cool down the body here in the summer and refresh.


In the summer greenhouse, many flowers are blooming, fruits can be produced, and there is impressing.
