浜松南ライオンズクラブ様から、ミンダナオ島南部の先住民の子どもたち245名に、学用品のご寄付をお預かりいたしました。ありがとうございます。
学校がなかったミンダナオのこの先住民の村に、浜松南ライオンズクラブ様が小学校2教室を建設してくださったのが2010年。その結果、教育省も先住民の教育に力を入れるようになり、教育省の予算で、新たに追加の教室が建設されました。そして、なんと、この村で、高校まで建設され、今、この山奥の村の先住民の子どもたちは、徒歩10分の距離で高校まで進学できます。

We have received donations from Hamamatsu Minami Lion's Club for school supplies of 245 pupils of indigenous communities in southern Mindanao. Thank you!
It was in 2010 that they have donated 2 classrooms of an elementary school in this community, where there was no school structure, and this has influenced department of education policy. By now, additional classrooms of the said elementary school were constructed by department of education, and even high school was opened in this community.
ICAN keeps promoting education of children in indigenous communities.
ICAN (International Children's Action Network) with experiences of development projects and emergency relief operations for 21 years in the Philippines. ICAN is an independent Non-government organization(NGO) working for the welfare of children.
