12月15日（日）【速報版】

1月から正式な授業が開始となる。全てを失った子どもたちも勉強できるように、今日は、半日ミンダナオ島に戻り、学用品の準備。

鉛筆、消しゴム、鉛筆削り、ペン、クレヨン、定規、ノート、紙、カバンなどなどで、一人約1,000円かかる。約3,000人に提供するとして計算してみるが、どう考えても全くおかねが足りない。

少しでも安いところはないか、減らせるものはないか、検討する。困った。

formal classes start on jan. in order even for kids who lost all belongings can study, we are canvassing and preparing school supplies in Mindanao now.

pencils, erasers, a sharpener, crayons, a ruler, notebooks, pad paper, a bag etc. cost around 1,000 yen per child. assuming to provide to 3,000 kids, the total cots is totally over (and over) our budget. naku.

we continue to look for cheaper shops and consider if there're anything we can put aside.

12月14日（土）【速報版2】

今日もドゥラッグ町の学校20校ほどの調査を行う。全壊の教室も多いが、一番多いのは、壁は残りつつ、屋根がない教室。

（別に日本びいきしているわけではなく）傾向として、JBIC（現JICA）経由の日本のODAローンで建てた校舎は、ある程度残っているが、マルコス時代に建てられた校舎の多くは、全壊。

とりあえず、次の土曜日までに、仮の校舎で子どもたちが勉強できる最低限の環境を整えたい。食料と家と教育の3つが同時並行なので、毎日ハードなスケジュールだけど、今が頑張りどき。

We continue our assessment on damages of around 20 schools in dulag. Majority of them have no roof at all or damaged on roof.

Many JBIC(Japanese yen loan funded) buildings still remain, while schools from Marcos time were totally destroyed.

We want to provide minimum space for kids to study by next Saturday. Foods, shelter and education components of ICAN are now on going together.

全壊家屋が多すぎて、もともとどこに家があったのか、とてもわかりにくい。家の資材等を提供するベースとなるリストに、自分の家の名前が入っているか、確認してくださいと書いたチラシをドラッグの16のバランガイ約200ヶ所に張って周る。一人でも多くの人に家が提供できるように。

too many washed out houses make us confuse where their houses were located originally. therefore, we have posted around 200 notices in 16 barangays of dulag to ask people to check if your names are in the master list. we want to provide houses as many as we can.

バランガイダカイの学校。台風で全壊になった学校で、子どもたちの仮の勉強スペースが出来た。子どもたちが勉強できるようになって嬉しい。

12月12日（木）

地域の校舎は、ほぼ95%が完全に崩壊状態。1) 一時的に使える勉強スペース、2) 屋根の修復、3) 校舎の建設の三段階で、活動を進めていく。

1に関しては、すでに開始。2に関しては、調整中。教育省によると、屋根の修復は、状態によるが、1教室辺り75万円～100万円程度。なんとか一刻も早く子どもたちを学校に行かせてあげたい。

動画は、バランガイダカイの学校。最初に見える教室が、新しいが壁にひびが入り使用不可能。その後、2つの教室が完全に崩壊。最後のテントが、今の子どもたちの学び場。雨の日は大変。

95% of classrooms have been destroyed. ICAN's interventions will be in 3 stages, namely 1) setting up TLS ( temporary learning space) 2) repairing roofs and 3) constructions.

1 already started this week and 2 is still in the stage of preparation. According to Deped, repairing roof of 1 classroom costs 700,000 to 1,000,000 yen. we want children back to school soon.

A school in brgy dacay. The first classroom has already cracks, 2nd and 3rd ones were totally destroyed. the last tent is the place where they study now. it's impossible to be there in rain.

　アイキャンが活動するバランガイサンホセ、ルアン、サンラファエルの3つのバランガイは、実は、約70年前に、マッカーサーが上陸したところでもある。そして、多くの日本人、アメリカ人、そしてフィリピン人が亡くなった場所でもある。おととい家の材料を提供したサンラファエルには、日本語の慰霊碑もある。

the brgys of san jose, luan and san rafael are actually the place where general MacArthur returned around 70 years ago. And it is also the place where many japanese, amerian and filipino have been killed. there is also a japanese memorial monument in san rafael where we distributed housing materials.

　町長との話し合いの結果、アイキャンは、ドゥラッグ町の半分近くの面積にあたる16のバランガイの食糧、家の建築、教育、生計（収入）向上の全てを担当することに。各バランガイにある16の学校の再建計画等を教育省と話し合う。

With a consultation with Mayor of Dulag, it is agreed that ICAN will be in charge of food, shelter, education and livelihood of 16 brgys which cover nearly half of its municipality. A Meeting with department of education or deped was also conducted.
