ドゥラッグ町ルアン。ここは特別な場所だ。

動画はGulag周辺の今日の様子。子どもたちがお金を恵んでもらうために、道に出ている。車から外を撮っていると偶然撮影してしまった。

車を降りてマニラの路上の子どもに接するように話していると、子どもたちと仲良くなった。手をつないで全壊したじぶんたちの家、村長の家、避難所となっている学校等を案内してくれた。今日の「稼ぎ」は50ペソとアメリカ人からもらった薬1つだそうだ。

車で1時間程仮眠しつつ、タクロバンから今、レイテ島南端までようやく戻ってきた。4時間後食料を運んだ大型トラック2台がロジ担当グループとともにフェリーで到着予定。そのままこの子どもたちが住む村に届ける。

今日の学用品の提供時に、ここに出てくる「友達たち」に再会した。あの状況の中、みんなたくましく生き残って、嬉しくて涙が出そうになった。

災害発生から1週間後のあの大混乱の中、この子どもたちに「絶対、この状況をなんとかする」と心の中で強く誓った。そして、その後、必死に「一日も早く、一人でも多く」物資を提供すべく毎日活動してきた。

ICANはここルアンで、これまでに、食料、家を提供し、そして今日学用品まで提供できた。復興はまだまだこれからだけど、道路で物乞いをせざる負えなかったあの子どもたちが、今、教室で勉強している。その光景が、嬉しくてたまらなかった。

Brgy Luan, Dulag. This is a special place for me.

On Nov 15, a week after the super typhoon, there were lots of kids in the streets of Luan asking foods. We got off from our car and became friends with some kids here. They showed us around the community including their totally destroyed houses, the house of brgy captain, the school using as a shelter and more.

While distributing school supplies here in Luan, I and old "friends" had reunion accidentally. I was feeling like crying to see them who have survived in such difficult times.

In the very chaotic situation of one week after the super typhoon, I personally promised with myself that we would solve this at all costs. After the time, we have been trying to distribute materials as many and early as we can.

ICAN has provided foods and shelters here in Luan by now and could distribute school supplies too today. The kids who were shouting in the street are now studying at school. I was more than happy to see the scenery.

抱きしめて話さない子もいる。

教育省から、現在提供中の3,000名の児童だけではなく、他の学校の児童たちにも提供してもらえないかと依頼があった。確かに学用品がないと子どもたちが勉強できないのは確かだ。

学用品の当初予算はオーバーしているが、追加で約700名ほどの学用品を購入することに。教育は一人ひとりの子どもの将来を決める。

There are also kids who just hold the bag tight.

Department of education has asked us if we can accommodate additional pupils from other schools. It is very true kids cannnot study without school supplies.

It is already over budget, but we have decided to add another 700 pupils. Education is a key for their future.

いくら9月からクリスマスをお祝いするフィリピンでも、今からそれを言うのは早すぎだ。でも、喜んでくれて嬉しい。

新たな2,500軒の家の建築プロジェクト（ICAN家屋建築プロジェクトフェーズ2）のキックオフミーティング。ドゥラッグ町長とバランガイキャプテンたちが一堂に集まり、今後のスケジュールについて確認。この地域初の大規模「恒久住宅」建築がついに始まる。

これで、広大な敷地のドゥラッグ町の北半分の全壊の家のほとんどは、アイキャンによって、建てられることになる。ちなみに、同地域の子どもの教育（学用品や教室の修復、建設）、生計回復の活動もアイキャンが担う。災害発生5日後から、僕らはここで住民とともに活動してきた。だからどうしても最後までやり遂げたい。

A kickoff meeting of new housing project for 2,500 households or ICAN Housing Project Phase 2 was held. The Meyer of Dulag and all brgy captains concerned were present to make sure the schedule from now. Massive durable housing project is going to start now for the first time in this area.

By the time we finish this project, almost all totally damaged houses of north dulag will have been reconstructed by ICAN. We are also going to take care of education such as school supplies, repairing/ construction of classrooms and livelihood in this huge area. We have been working with the people here since 5 days after the typhoon. We would like to see their full recovery.

「鉛筆がないから、黒板を写せない。ノートがないから、宿題が出来ない」と言っていた子どもたち。子どもたちに、勉強ができない「言い訳」はさせない。

Provision of school supplies for 68 pupils in brgy San Antonio, Dulag. This is one of the most interior brgys in dulag.

Kids used to say they cannot copy the sentences on blackboard due to lack of pencils and cannot finish their homework due to no notebook. We create an environment where they have no 'excuses' left for their study.

学用品は学年のニーズに合わせて、細分化して提供している。ミンダナオ北東部事務所（スリガオ市）にいるロジチームが、学校毎の段ボールを色分けし、その中に更に学年ごとに分けて、パッキングした上で、トラックに載せている。物資提供時に混乱も起きないし、物資が余って倉庫に眠ることもない。必要なものを、必要な分だけ、必要な時に。

The contents of school supplies were adjusted according to their grades. Logistic team of ICAN Mindanao North eastern office based in Surigao city packs according to the schools and grades using color identification system before loading. Therefore, we in Leyte have no confusion in distribution and no worry for the supplies to sleep in our warehouse. Necessary materials with necessary volumes in best timing.

ドゥラッグ町カミトック、63人の児童への学用品セットの提供。

子どもたちは大喜び。

子どもたちの大多数は、台風ハイエン（ヨランダ）によって、家自体が吹き飛ばされ、学用品を含むほとんどの家財道具を失っている。多くは鉛筆やペンを持っておらず、ノート（紙）を持っている子も、台風で、濡れたノートを発見して、使っていた。

仮設校舎が出来たときも喜んでくれたが、今回は10倍喜んでくれている気がする。

Provision of school supplies for 63 pupils in brgy camitoc, dulag.

Kids are super happy.

Most of them lost their houses and all belongings including their school supplies due to typhoon yolanda. Majority did not have pencils nor pens and some even used wet paper which were found after yolanda.

they were happy when temporary learning space was created. But their faces show that they are 10 times happier this time.
