元路上で働いてきた若者たちが、アイキャンの厳しいトレーニングを経て、マニラのケソン市にカフェをオープンしました！店名は、「カリエカフェ」。「カリエ（Kalye）」は、タガログ語で「路上」という意味です。
カフェの店員の一人：「路上にいたとき、大人から『君は、路上生活者だ。その生活はこれからも変わらない』と言われた。でも、僕は、この活動を通して変わることができた。僕を信頼してくれた人たちに、心から感謝しています。」

Those youth who had been working in streets finally opened a "Kalye cafe" in Quezon city, Metro Manila after series of training provided by ICAN!
*"Kalye" means "a street" in tagalog.
One kalye staff: "There were adults who used to tell me that my life in streets would not change forever. But my life has been completely changed because of this. I really appreciate those who trusted me."

安倍昭恵総理夫人が、石川裕子駐フィリピン日本大使夫人とともに、マニラ市にあるアイキャンのドロップインセンター（一時保護施設）を訪問されました。ここでは、路上の子どもたちが、毎日ご飯を食べ、シャワーを浴び、基礎的な読み書きを学ぶことが出きます。

市場で働くカルラちゃん（仮名：10歳）は、念願かなって今年ようやく小学校に通い始めました。「ずっと学校に通いたかったので、夢が叶って今とても幸せです。」と自己紹介し、夫人が感動される場面がありました。

Japan's First Lady, Akie Abe, together with ambassador's wife Ms. Ishikawa, has visited ICAN drop in Center in Manila city. This is the place where children on the streets can eat, take showers and learn basic reading and writing.

When one of the children, Calra, 10yrs old, a fictitious name, introduced herself that I am very happy now to be able to study at school finally since I'd been long for., Ms, Abe was moved.

マニラ市には、路上の子どもたちが、毎日ご飯を食べ、シャワーを浴び、読み書きを学べるアイキャンのドロップインセンターがある。常に路上で命の危険に晒される子どもたちが、安心してお昼寝することができる場でもある。

しかし、このドロップインセンター、運営費だけでも年間約400万円かかっており、維持していくのが、とても厳しい状況に陥っている。

In Manila city, there is a drop-in center where children on the street can eat, take showers and learn how to read and write everyday. It is also a space where children who are always at life risk can take naps without any fear from any forms of danger.

Since the operation cost of this ICAN drop in center is nearly 4 Millions yen ( or around 1.5 Millions Pesos) annually, we are in a difficult situation to continue this activity. We need your donation.

【自然災害の影響を受けた子どもたち-Children affected by Natural Disasters】

2年前の2013年11月8日の台風によって、タクロバン市にあるコミュニティに大型船が打ち上げられ、23人が亡くなった。この度、その船首が残され、メモリアルパークとなった。
フィリピンの国旗において、白は平等と友愛を、青は平和、真実と正義を、赤は勇気と愛国心を象徴し、黄色い太陽は自由を表すが、戦時には、上下が逆さまになり、赤が上になる。
まだまだ課題は山積だが、2年経って、タクロバンには、やはり青が似合うと思えてきた。

The Shipwreck located at Barangay Anibong in Tacloban, who killed at least 23 individuals 2 years ago due to Haiyan Typhoon,has turned into a memorial park now.
In the national flag of the Philippines, the while color stands for liberty and equality, the blue stands for peace, justice and prosperity, while the red one stands for the courage and patriotism. And the yellow sun signifies the lasting hope for freedom. It implies a state of war if it is displayed with the red side on top.
Many issues still remain, but the blue side on top designs truly fits Tacloban now. Tindog Tacloban! (Rise up, Tacloban!)

【障がいを持った子どもたち-Children with Disabilities / Challenged】

障がいを持った子どもたちの事業担当石田が、グロフォーメーションフォーラムとフィリピン教育省共催「21世紀の教育：学習者に焦点を当てたパラダイムの促進」と題した国際会議で、約1,000人の参加者の前で、「教育を通じて『できない』を『できる』に変える」と題した講演を行いました。
フィリピンでは、障がいが理由で、就学できていない子どもたちが多くいます。講演により、この子どもたちにより社会的な焦点が当たれば幸いです。

Yukari, in charge of children with disabilities, has delivered her presentation titled "Turning Disabilities into Abilities through education" to approx. 1,000 audiences in an international forum, The Twenty-First Century Education:
Promoting the Learner-Focused Paradigm, organized by Guro Formation Forum, Inc. and DepEd-Olongapo.
There are many children in the Philippines who are deprived of education due to their disabilities. It is hoped their situations are more concerned by this presentation.

【MYアイキャン事業-MY ICAN Project】

40名以上が、名古屋栄各地で行われたフィリピンの路上の子どものためのアイキャン街頭募金に参加しました。幸田町立南部中学校、聖霊高校、名東高校、千種高校、名古屋国際中学高校、そしてその他、小学生、大学生、社会人の皆さま、とても寒い中、ありがとうございました。
ある方は、「今、仕事がないので、たくさん寄付はできないけれど、だからこそ、僕には、路上で寝ている子どもたちの気持ちが分かる。困っているのはお互いさま」と言って、小銭を寄付してくださいました。
私たちは、一人ひとりの「温かい想い」と「ご寄付」を、確実に必要な子どもたちに届けます。ほぼ毎月行っているこの街頭募金は、8年目となりました。

More than 40 volunteers have participated in street donation program held in Nagoya for children on the streets in the Philippines. They are from Nambu J.H.School, Seirei H.School, Meito H. School, Chikusa H. School, Nagoya International J&H School and many other people from elementary kids to Adults. Thank you very much.
Among hundreds who have donated, there was a person who lives on the street of Nagoya. He said as follows. "I cannot afford donating much due to my financial circumstance, but I would like to donate even a little because I understand the feeling of children who sleep on the street in the Philippines". He taught us how important for each person to share what could be done.
This street donation program is a monthly ICAN event which has lasted for 8 years. We make sure all warm hearts generated in this very cold weather are delivered to the children in need.

【災害の影響を受けた子どもたち-Children in Natural Disaster】

フィリピン中部において7,000人以上の死者・行方不明者を生み出した2013年の台風災害から、11月8日で2年となりました。
アイキャンでは、これまでに、約6万人に対する「水、食料及び生活用品の提供」、約3,500世帯の「家の建設」、125教室の「校舎建設・修復」、2,000名への「学用品の提供」、15村における生計向上活動（緊急雇用）等を終了いたしました。これらは、寄付者やボランティア、そして被災された方々等、アイキャンの活動に参加してくださった皆様一人ひとりの力によって、成し遂げられたものです。心より感謝いたします。
現在、これまでの活動の評価と、次の活動への計画作りを行っております。多くの方々が亡くなったこの悲劇を絶対に繰り返さないという強い信念のもと、甚大な被害から少しでも多くのことを学び、災害に強い地域を作りあげていきます。

2 years have passed since the super typhoon Haiyan caused more than 7,000 casualties in central Philippines.
ICAN was able to provide foods and non food items to 60,000 people, houses for 3,500 families, 125 classrooms rehabilitated, school supplies for 2,000 pupils, emergency livelihoods for 15 communities and many others. They were made possible thanks to your donations, volunteers and power of people in the communities. We deeply appreciate your efforts.
We are in a stage of evaluation and planning for next year. We again pledge to create strong and resilient communities by learning from the experiences.

We have received donations from the Rising Production Inc. which many famous Japanes artists including w-inds., Lead and Da Pump belong to. W-inds. has also visited ICAN drop in center for children on the streets and delivered wonderful songs to them. Thank you!

【先住民の子どもたち-Children of Indigenous Communities】

浜松南ライオンズクラブ様から、ミンダナオ島南部の先住民の子どもたち245名に、学用品のご寄付をお預かりいたしました。ありがとうございます。
学校がなかったミンダナオのこの先住民の村に、浜松南ライオンズクラブ様が小学校2教室を建設してくださったのが2010年。その結果、教育省も先住民の教育に力を入れるようになり、教育省の予算で、新たに追加の教室が建設されました。そして、なんと、この村で、高校まで建設され、今、この山奥の村の先住民の子どもたちは、徒歩10分の距離で高校まで進学できます。
継続したパートナーシップに感謝いたします。

We have received donations from Hamamatsu Minami Lion's Club for school supplies of 245 pupils of indigenous communities in southern Mindanao. Thank you!
It was in 2010 that they have donated 2 classrooms of an elementary school in this community, where there was no school structure, and this has influenced department of education policy. By now, additional classrooms of the said elementary school were constructed by department of education, and even high school was opened in this community.
ICAN keeps promoting education of children in indigenous communities.
