Our city of Machida has a population of 430,000,
but in terms of passenger numbers on the Odakyu Line,
it is the second busiest station after Shinjuku.
Therefore, the commercial area is inevitably large.
Perhaps that is why there are so many incidents.
The newspapers often report on such incidents.
So naturally, I am always thinking about it.
Recently, a man in his 70s was attacked by a robber working black part-time jobs nearby and died,
so I have taken some measures in case they break into my house
It's not a big deal.
If they break into my house, I immediately take refuge in my bedroom and press my bed against the door to prevent it from opening,
and then I call 110
that my strategy
Oops, I've revealed it
I hope the robbers aren't reading this blog.
Recently, there were two articles about incidents in Machida in the newspaper.
One was a shooting murder case,
and a serial robbery by a group of four people.
It's scary, but unlike a black job burglary,
this one has nothing to do with me. I was instantly convinced.
The incident happened between 4 and 5am,
and the victim was a person walking alone in a deserted area.
I have never walked alone in a place like that in my life, so I don't think I would become a victim of that.
But what reason could people have had to walk at the scene of the crime at that time?
I know the location well, but it's strange
If they work the night shift,
they could have come home from work on the first train of the day, but there are no trains running at that time.
Maybe they missed the last train and walked for hours to get home?
This seems possible.
My son also had something like this when he was a university student.
However, looking at the age of the victim,
They were in his 40s to 60s,
so I think they had enough money to take a taxi.
they actually lost tens of thousands of yen,
so unlike my son, they had money.
Well, if you imagine it,
all sorts of things come to mind,
but there's no point in insulting the victim with my delusions,
so let's not get too involved.
I don't know the victim's circumstances well,
but I can imagine who the perpetrators are.
The crime was committed by a group of four on a motorcycle,
so they were definitely minors.
I think the motive for the crime was probably to pay money to delinquents like a biker gang, who threatened them.
I think so because it's a common pattern since we were in middle school.
There were a lot of people swearing money on Kokusai Street in Naha,
but when the delinquents actually took us to the cemetery behind it,
beat us up, and took our money,
there were usually older men with scary looks watching them in silence.
I learned a lot from this experience that it's fear that drives young boys to commit crimes.
In fact, with the illegal part-time jobs that are popular these days,
the perpetrators send copies of their driver's licenses to their supervisors,
so their identities are exposed,
and they say that even after applying for the job and finding out it was a robbery,
they were too scared to run away.
So the structure of people controlling other people through fear has been firmly rooted in our human world from ancient times to the present,
and I think young people especially need to be aware of this in order to avoid being incorporated into this system.
So what kind of people fall into this trap?
I won't say all,
but most people try to control others through fear,
and so they end up being controlled by fear.
Even in our time, there were members of gang leaders who were bossy at school,
and when I went drinking with them as adults,
they told me that although they were bossy to their classmates,
in reality it was hell.
In other words, in order to be bossy, they needed a guarantee of safety from the delinquent groups of older students,
and in return they had to pay money.
To make the money,
as they were middle school students and couldn't work,
their only options were to threaten classmate and rob money or steal.
Well, there's no end to the stories,
but not only humans but all animals use fear to determine rank order in the herd,
but now for the first time we are trying to achieve order that doesn't depend on fear,
and even though we live in such blessed times,
the delinquent kids are still suffering under the system of fear, which is really foolish. Personally,
I can't help but feel pity for the perpetrators of this robbery.
