2021年の元旦メッセージ

本年明けましておめでとうございます。
例年通り、年賀状に代わる「年賀メール」をお送り致します。

2020年のテーマは「与える年」でした。
コロナ感染者施設でボランティアをしたり、寄付をしたり、
研究を発表したりと一応は「与える」行為をしましたが、
医療者としてもっとできることがあるような気もしながら過ごした1年でした。

本年のテーマは、「開く年」にしたいと思います。

心を開き、新たな門を開き、そして本を開く。
オンラインであっても交流を広げ、新たな挑戦をしながら、地道な勉学にも励みたいと思います。

2021年が皆様にとって幸せ多き年となりますよう心より祈念申し上げます。
本年も、ご指導ご鞭撻の程よろしくお願い申し上げます。

Happy 2020! I trust all is well with you and your family.
As always, I have condensed Christmas cards and New Year greetings into a single message.

My theme for 2020 was "a year of giving."
I was able to give a little...I volunteered at COVID-19 facilities, made donations, and published research...
but the year was over before I could come up with a bigger project to work on.
I'll have to plan a second "year of giving" sometime in the future.

My theme for 2021 will be: a year of opening up

I hope to open doors to new challenges, read more, write more, and
connect and reconnect with people (virutally), experiences, and knowledge.
We've always found our way around the hardest problems; COVID should be no exception.

Finally, I would love to hear from you and correspond on an individual basis.
Communication is a two-way street; I have put my latest "out there" and would be delighted to have your latest "out here."
