本年明けましておめでとうございます。
アフィア株式会社・東海大学医学部の岡本でございます。
例年通り、年賀状に代わる「年賀メール」をお送り致します。
2010年は「根気の年」という地味なテーマの下で勉強と仕事に励んで参りました。無事カリフォルニア州弁護士となり、会社の業績を回復させ、来年以降の方向性をより明確にすることができたと思います。
さて、本年のテーマは、「献身の年」にしたいと思います。
昨年は高校時代からの友人である医師に「やっと自分の成長より他人の成長を考えれるようになった」と言われ、最も印象に残る言葉のひとつとなりました。これからも急成長しなくてはならない未熟な立場ではありますが、他人の成長や心境、変化や苦しみに一層気を配れるようになりたいと思います。
2011年が皆様にとって幸せ多き年となりますよう心より祈念申し上げます。
本年も、ご指導ご鞭撻の程よろしくお願い申し上げます。

Happy 2011! I trust all is well with you and your family.
As in the past years, I have condensed Christmas cards and New Year greetings into a single message.
I think I did okay in making 2010 “A Year of Perseverance.” I passed the California Bar Exam, achieved a recovery in operating performance at Afia, and was able to clarify my goals for the coming year and beyond.
My theme for 2011 will be: A Year of Dedication to Others.
Having worked for over 10 years and completing 11 years’ worth of post-graduate coursework (with lots of overlap), I might know something that others want to learn. Maybe I can learn by teaching; maybe I can teach by learning. Instead of pursuing drasting changes, I hope to make small but lasting differences in the lives and well-being of others in the new year.
Finally, I would love to hear from you and correspond on an individual basis. Communication is a two-way street; I have put my latest "out there" and would be delighted to have your latest "out here."
