THOUSANDS DETAINED IN RUSSIA PROTESTSロシア反政府勢力 全土で抗議活動

Thousands of protesters have reportedly been detained across Russia. They are calling for the release of opposition leader Alexei Navalny.
Reuters reported that around 40,000 people came out on Saturday in Moscow. The authorities said the rally had not been authorized.
A human rights group says at least 3,200 people were taken in at more than 110 locations.
Observers say it was the largest number of people detained in demonstrations in the country in recent years.
A survey showed that 40 percent of the protesters were taking part in a demonstration for the first time. Many of them were in their 20s and 30s.
Navalny was arrested last Sunday after returning from Germany where he'd received medical treatment. He is believed to have been poisoned last August with a nerve agent used in chemical weapons.

徒然草 第八十七段

【原文】　　

　下部に酒飲まする事は、心すべきことなり。

　宇治に住み侍りけるをのこ、京に、具覚房とて、なまめきたる遁世の僧を、こじうとなりければ、常に申し睦けり。或時、迎へに馬を遣したりければ、「遥なるほどなり。口づきのをのこに、先づ一度せさせよ」とて、酒を出したれば、さし受けさし受け、よゝと飲みぬ。

　太刀佩てかひがひしげなれば、頼しく覚えて、召し具して行くほどに、木幡のほどにて奈良法師の、兵士あまた具して逢ひたるに、この男立ち向かひて、「日暮れにたる山中に、怪きぞ。止まり候へ」と言ひて、太刀を引き抜きければ、人も皆、太刀抜き、矢はげなどしけるを、具覚房、手を摺りて、「現心なく酔ゑひたる者に候ふ。まげて許し給はらん」と言いければ、おのおの嘲あざけりてりて過ぎぬ。

　この男、具覚房にあひて、「御房は口惜しき事し給ひつるものかな。己酔ひたる事侍らず。高名う仕まつらんとするを、抜ける太刀空しくなし給ひつること」と怒りて、ひた斬りに斬り落としつ。

　さて、「山だちあり」とのゝしりければ、里人おこりて出いであへば、「我こそ山だちよ」と言ひて、走りかゝりつゝ斬り廻りけるを、あまたして手負おほせ、打ち伏ふせて縛けり。馬は血つきて、宇治大路の家に走り入りたり。あさましくて、をのこどもあまた走らかしたれば、具覚房はくちなし原にによひ伏したるを、求め出いでて、舁かきもて来きつ。辛からき命生いきたれど、腰斬きり損ぜられて、かたはに成りにけり。

【現代語訳】

労働者に酒を飲ませる際には、細心の注意をはらわなくてはならない。

　宇治に住んでいたある男は、京都に住んでいる具覚房と言う、ちょっとは名の知れた世捨て人と義兄弟の関係だった。なので、よく酒盛りをして親睦を深めた。いつもの様に、馬をやって具覚房を迎えに行かせた。具覚房は「この先、道のりは長い。まずは一杯やりなはれ」と言って、馬を引く男に酒を飲ませた。男は出された酒を次々と、だらだら垂らしながら飲みまくった。

　太くて長い刀を腰からぶら下げ、勇敢に歩く男の姿を見て、具覚房は「何とも頼もしい事だ」と、心強く思いながら連れ歩いた。伏見の山道まで進むと、奈良法師が武装した兵隊を連れて歩いていた。泥酔状態の男は、何を血迷ったのか「おいこら、待て。日の暮れた山道を歩く怪しい狼藉者め」と言って、刀を抜いた。すると相手も、刀を抜き、矢を向けて防衛追撃の体勢に入った。具覚房は、咄嗟に危険を察知し、揉み手をしながら「どうかご無礼お許しください。この男は酒に酔って前後不覚なのです。私が頭を下げます。この通りです」と、命乞いをしたので、兵士達は冷笑して去っていった。

　出鼻を挫かれた男は「何を言っているのだ、あんたは。俺は酔っちゃいねぇ。狼藉者を成敗して名を轟かす予定が狂ったじゃないか。抜いた刀のやり所に困ったものよ」と逆上して、ブンブンと刀を振り回しながら、具覚房を斬ってしまった。

　そして男は、「山賊が出た」と怒鳴った。「何事が起きたのか」と、飛び出してきた野次馬達に向かって、男は「俺が山賊だ」と叫んで走りまわり、刀を振り回し、無差別殺傷に撃ってでた。迎え撃つ村人は大勢で取り囲んで押さえ込み、男を縛り上げた。血まみれになった馬だけが宇治の大通りを疾駆したので、具覚房を迎えにやらせた男は狼狽した。大男達を現場に急行させると、クチナシの花に埋もれて具覚房が唸っていたので病院に担ぎ込んだ。かなり危ない命拾いだったが、腰の傷が深く、車いす生活を余儀なくされた。

◆鎌倉末期の随筆。吉田兼好著。上下2巻，244段からなる。1317年(文保1)から1331年(元弘1)の間に成立したか。その間，幾つかのまとまった段が少しずつ執筆され，それが編集されて現在見るような形態になったと考えられる。それらを通じて一貫した筋はなく，連歌的ともいうべき配列方法がとられている。形式は《枕草子》を模倣しているが，内容は，作者の見聞談，感想，実用知識，有職の心得など多彩であり，仏教の厭世思想を根底にもち，人生論的色彩を濃くしている。

苦境に立たされた20のノンフィクション。私の拙い経験とぴったり重なるものが有った。この著者の作品は今回初めてだが、当分他の著作を読み続んでみよう。
