【読んだ理由】

前回に引き続き白駒妃登美さんの著作。

【最も印象に残った一行】 

「夢」は自分のために叶えたいもの。だから夢は、自分が死ねば終わります。でも、志は違います。大好きな人や大切な人に笑顔になってほしいと心から願ったときに、溢れ出てくる思いがある。それを私は「志」と呼ぶのだと思います。「志」が叶えば、喜んでくれる人がいっぱいいます。ですから「志」は、自分が死んでも誰かに受け継がれていくのです。日本の歴史の本質は、この「志」のリレーにあるのではないでしょうか。

日常生活の中にこそ学ぶべきものがある

ABE ORDERS REVIEW OF 'HANKO' SEAL CULTURE安倍首相 はんこ制度の見直し指示

Prime Minister Abe is also trying to break down one of the biggest barriers to teleworking in Japan.
He wants to do away with regulations that require workers to physically stamp documents with a seal.

The use of seals – known as "hanko" in Japan – is cited as one of the reasons people are still commuting to their offices despite requests to stay at home.

A member of the government's Council on Economic and Fiscal Policy pressed the prime minister to end the practice and allow businesses to exchange contracts digitally.
Abe says the government needs to ensure that people and firms can benefit from the measures soon.

The government is asking people to reduce their contact with others by 70 to 80 percent as part of its fight against the coronavirus.

徒然草 第四十九段

【原文】　　

老い来りて、始めて道を行ぎようぜんと待つことなかれ。古き墳、多くはこれ少年の人なり。はからざるに病を受けて、忽にこの世を去らんとする時にこそ、始めて、過ぎぬる方の誤れる事は知らるなれ。誤りといふは、他の事にあらず、速やかにすべき事を緩ゆるくし、緩くすべき事を急ぎて、過ぎにし事の悔しきなり。その時悔ゆとも、かひあらんや。

人は、たゞ、無常の、身に迫りぬる事を心にひしとかけて、束つかの間まも忘るまじきなり。さらば、などか、この世の濁りも薄く、仏道を勤むる心もまめやかならざらん。

「昔ありける聖は、人来りて自他の要事を言ふ時、答へて云はく、「今、火急の事ありて、既に朝夕に逼れり」とて、耳をふたぎて念仏して、つひに往生を遂げけり」と、禅林の十因に侍はべり。心戒といひける聖は、余りに、この世のかりそめなる事を思ひて、静かについゐけることだになく、常はうづくまりてのみぞありける。

【現代語訳】

ヨボヨボになってから、「仏道修行するぞ」と、時が過ぎて行くのを待っていてはならない。古い墓の多くは、夭逝した人の物である。思いがけず疾病して、たちまち「さよなら」を言う羽目になった時、初めて過失に気がついたりする。過失とは言うまでもなく、早く処理しておけばよい事をズルズルと先延ばしにして、どうでもよい事だけは何故だか迅速に対処してきた人生に対して過去を悔しく思うことである。やはり、こぼれたミルクは元に戻らない。

人は、いつまでもこんな日が続かないと常に心に思い、いつも忘れてはならない。そうすれば、世の中のヘベレケ達に混ざって俗世間にまみれる暇もなく、仏道修行にも身が入るはずだ。

　「今は昔、聖人がいた。客が訪問し自分や他人の雑多な事を話し出すと、こう答えた。『今すぐにやらねばならぬ事がある。人生の締切に追われているから他人の話を聞いている暇などない』。そして、耳栓をして念仏を唱えながら、とうとう楽しく死んでしまうことができた」と、禅林寺の永観が書いた『往生十因』という文献で紹介されている。また、心戒という聖人は、「あまりにもこの世の人生は不安定だ」と思って、じっと座っていることもなく、死ぬまでしゃがんでばかりいた。

◆鎌倉末期の随筆。吉田兼好著。上下2巻，244段からなる。1317年(文保1)から1331年(元弘1)の間に成立したか。その間，幾つかのまとまった段が少しずつ執筆され，それが編集されて現在見るような形態になったと考えられる。それらを通じて一貫した筋はなく，連歌的ともいうべき配列方法がとられている。形式は《枕草子》を模倣しているが，内容は，作者の見聞談，感想，実用知識，有職の心得など多彩であり，仏教の厭世思想を根底にもち，人生論的色彩を濃くしている。

今を受け入れ、ご縁をいただいた人たちに笑顔になってもらうために精一杯頑張っていると、扉が開いて、思いもよらないご褒美といううか、夢を超えた素敵な現実が得られます。

勤勉、誠実、親切、約束を守る、責任感がある、自分の仕事に誇りを持っている、さらに自分だけでなくみんなのことを考えられる、今のことだけでなく次の世代のことまで考えられる・・・・そんな人を、台湾では「リップン・チェンシン（日本精神）のある人と呼ぶのですね。

喜べば、喜びごとが喜んで、喜び集めて、喜びに来る

君たちに必要なのは「自分探し｣でなくて「お手本探し」だよ。
