U.S. President Donald Trump is running against a headwind following the publication of a memoir by his former national security advisor John Bolton.
The book hit stores on Tuesday in the United States and other countries.
U.S. media reports say it has topped the Amazon.com bestseller list for the past few days based on pre-orders.
Bolton reportedly received an advance payment of 2 million dollars from his publisher.
The book portrays Trump as lacking even basic knowledge.
Bolton says the president asked an aide if Finland is part of Russia and questioned then-British Prime Minister Theresa May about whether the U.K. is a nuclear power.
In both cases, Bolton notes Trump was clearly not joking.
He also accuses the president of prioritizing reelection over U.S. national interests and notes his surprising lack of understanding about how to run a government.
