◆イエスの姿が変わる
『 9:2 六日の後、イエスは、ただペトロ、ヤコブ、ヨハネだけを連れて、高い山に登られた。イエスの姿が彼らの目の前で変わり、
9:3 服は真っ白に輝き、この世のどんなさらし職人の腕も及ばぬほど白くなった。
9:4 エリヤがモーセと共に現れて、イエスと語り合っていた。
9:5 ペトロが口をはさんでイエスに言った。「先生、わたしたちがここにいるのは、すばらしいことです。仮小屋を三つ建てましょう。一つはあなたのため、一つはモーセのため、もう一つはエリヤのためです。」
9:6 ペトロは、どう言えばよいのか、分からなかった。弟子たちは非常に恐れていたのである。
9:7 すると、雲が現れて彼らを覆い、雲の中から声がした。「これはわたしの愛する子。これに聞け。」
9:8 弟子たちは急いで辺りを見回したが、もはやだれも見えず、ただイエスだけが彼らと一緒におられた。
9:9 一同が山を下りるとき、イエスは、「人の子が死者の中から復活するまでは、今見たことをだれにも話してはいけない」と弟子たちに命じられた。
9:10 彼らはこの言葉を心に留めて、死者の中から復活するとはどういうことかと論じ合った。
9:11 そして、イエスに、「なぜ、律法学者は、まずエリヤが来るはずだと言っているのでしょうか」と尋ねた。
9:12 イエスは言われた。「確かに、まずエリヤが来て、すべてを元どおりにする。それなら、人の子は苦しみを重ね、辱めを受けると聖書に書いてあるのはなぜか。
9:13 しかし、言っておく。エリヤは来たが、彼について聖書に書いてあるように、人々は好きなようにあしらったのである。」
9:2 Six days later Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John, and led them up a high mountain, where they were alone. As they looked on, a change came over Jesus,
9:3 and his clothes became shining white-whiter than anyone in the world could wash them.
9:4 Then the three disciples saw Elijah and Moses talking with Jesus.
9:5 Peter spoke up and said to Jesus, "Teacher, how good it is that we are here! We will make three tents, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah."
9:6 He and the others were so frightened that he did not know what to say.
9:7 Then a cloud appeared and covered them with its shadow, and a voice came from the cloud, "This is my own dear Son-listen to him!"
9:8 They took a quick look around but did not see anyone else; only Jesus was with them.
9:9 As they came down the mountain, Jesus ordered them, "Don't tell anyone what you have seen, until the Son of Man has risen from death."
9:10 They obeyed his order, but among themselves they started discussing the matter, "What does this "rising from death' mean?"
9:11 And they asked Jesus, "Why do the teachers of the Law say that Elijah has to come first?"
9:12 His answer was, "Elijah is indeed coming first in order to get everything ready. Yet why do the Scriptures say that the Son of Man will suffer much and be rejected?
9:13 I tell you, however, that Elijah has already come and that people treated him just as they pleased, as the Scriptures say about him."』
