ドゥラッグ町ダカイでのシェルターコミッティーの組織化。
このシェルターコミッティーが、その村において家の建築に関わるあらゆる機能を持つ。

トローサ町テレグラポでの半壊、全壊認定。

　フィリピン中部の島を横断した超大型の台風30号（ハイエン）は、1,600万人を超える被災者を出しました。これに対して、アイキャンでは、これまでの20年間のフィリピンでの活動経験を活かし、緊急救援活動を実施しています。

動画はGulag周辺の今日の様子。子どもたちがお金を恵んでもらうために、道に出ている。車から外を撮っていると偶然撮影してしまった。

車を降りてマニラの路上の子どもに接するように話していると、子どもたちと仲良くなった。手をつないで全壊したじぶんたちの家、村長の家、避難所となっている学校等を案内してくれた。今日の「稼ぎ」は50ペソとアメリカ人からもらった薬1つだそうだ。

車で1時間程仮眠しつつ、タクロバンから今、レイテ島南端までようやく戻ってきた。4時間後食料を運んだ大型トラック2台がロジ担当グループとともにフェリーで到着予定。そのままこの子どもたちが住む村に届ける。

今日の学用品の提供時に、ここに出てくる「友達たち」に再会した。あの状況の中、みんなたくましく生き残って、嬉しくて涙が出そうになった。

災害発生から1週間後のあの大混乱の中、この子どもたちに「絶対、この状況をなんとかする」と心の中で強く誓った。そして、その後、必死に「一日も早く、一人でも多く」物資を提供すべく毎日活動してきた。

ICANはここルアンで、これまでに、食料、家を提供し、そして今日学用品まで提供できた。復興はまだまだこれからだけど、道路で物乞いをせざる負えなかったあの子どもたちが、今、教室で勉強している。その光景が、嬉しくてたまらなかった。

Brgy Luan, Dulag. This is a special place for me.

On Nov 15, a week after the super typhoon, there were lots of kids in the streets of Luan asking foods. We got off from our car and became friends with some kids here. They showed us around the community including their totally destroyed houses, the house of brgy captain, the school using as a shelter and more.

While distributing school supplies here in Luan, I and old "friends" had reunion accidentally. I was feeling like crying to see them who have survived in such difficult times.

In the very chaotic situation of one week after the super typhoon, I personally promised with myself that we would solve this at all costs. After the time, we have been trying to distribute materials as many and early as we can.

ICAN has provided foods and shelters here in Luan by now and could distribute school supplies too today. The kids who were shouting in the street are now studying at school. I was more than happy to see the scenery.

抱きしめて話さない子もいる。

教育省から、現在提供中の3,000名の児童だけではなく、他の学校の児童たちにも提供してもらえないかと依頼があった。確かに学用品がないと子どもたちが勉強できないのは確かだ。

学用品の当初予算はオーバーしているが、追加で約700名ほどの学用品を購入することに。教育は一人ひとりの子どもの将来を決める。

There are also kids who just hold the bag tight.

Department of education has asked us if we can accommodate additional pupils from other schools. It is very true kids cannnot study without school supplies.

It is already over budget, but we have decided to add another 700 pupils. Education is a key for their future.
