ケネディ大使から日本の皆さんへ御礼のメッセージ

Caroline Kennedy has said thank you to Japan. Her term as U.S. ambassador to the country ends later this week.
(Caroline Kennedy / U.S. Ambassador to Japan)
"Nihon no minasan, konnichiwa. Serving as the United States ambassador to our closest friend and ally has been the greatest privilege of my life. I want to thank Prime Minister Abe and the members of his government for working to strengthen our 'alliance of hope,' and for sharing President Obama's belief in the 'power of reconciliation.' I want to thank him for strongly supporting the United States-Japan alliance and for the many landmark achievements of the past three years."

Kennedy expressed gratitude to Abe for welcoming Obama to Hiroshima and for visiting Pearl Harbor last month.
She reserved special thanks for the students she met all over the country. Kennedy said the future of the alliance between the U.S. and Japan depends on them.
