箴言２２章 翻訳途中

箴言２２章

良い名声はむしろ大きな富よりも選ばれる。
愛する好意は銀や金よりも選ばれる。
2 富める者と貧しい者が共に会う。主はすべての者の造り主である。
3 思慮深い人は悪を見て、身を隠すが、思慮のない人は通り過ぎて、罰せられる。
4 謙遜の報酬は主を恐れること。すなわち富と誉といのちである。
5 茨と罠は不運な者の道にあり、自分の魂を守る者は、これらから自分を遠ざける。
6 子どもをその行くべき道にふさわしく育てなさい！
そうすれば、年をとってもそこから離れることはない。
7 富む者は貧しい者を支配し、借り手は貸し手に仕える。
8 不義を蒔く者は虚栄を刈り取り、その怒りの鞭は失敗する。

9 豊かな目を持つ者は幸いである。彼は自分のパンを貧しい者に与えるからである。
9 善意の人は祝福を受ける。自分のパンを寄るべのない者に与えるから。

10 嘲る者を追い出せば、争いは消え、争いと恥とはなくなる。
11 心の清さを愛する者、そのくちびるに恵みを持つ者は、王がその友となる。
12 主の目は知識のある者を守り、信仰のない者の言葉をくつがえす。
13 怠け者は言う。『外に獅子がいる、私は道で殺される。』と。
14 見知らぬ女の口は深い穴であって、主に忌み嫌われる者はその中に倒れる。
15 幼な子の心には愚かさがあるが、矯正の鞭はこれを遠くに追いやる。

16 その利益を増そうとして貧しい者を虐げる人と、富める者に与える人には、欠乏が来る。
16 自分を富まそうと寄るベのない者をしいたげる人、富む人に与える者は、必ず乏しくなる。

17 あなたの耳を傾けて、知恵ある者の言葉を聞き、あなたの心をわたしの知識に当てなさい！
18 あなたがこれらをあなたの内にとどめ、あなたのくちびるに完全に定着させるならば、それは快いことである。
19 あなたの信頼が主にあるように！わたしは今日、このことをあなたに知らせた。
20 わたしはあなたにすぐれた策謀と知識を書き送った。
21 それはあなたに真理の言葉の確かさを知らせ、あなたを遣わす者に、真理の言葉を持ち帰らせるためである。
22 弱いからといって、弱い者から奪ってはならない。
また、門の中の貧しい者を押しつぶしてはならない。
23 主は彼らのために弁明し、彼らを苦しめる者の命を奪うからだ。
24 あなたは怒る人と友好を結んではならない。
怒る人と一緒に行ってはならない。
25 あなたが彼の道を学び、あなたの魂のわなにかかることがないように！
26 あなたは手を打つ者の仲間になるな！
また、負債の保証人になる者の仲間になるな！
27 もし、あなたに支払うべきものがなければ、どうして彼はあなたの下からあなたの寝床を取り去らなければならないのか。
28 あなたの先祖が定めた古い目印を外してはならない。
29 あなたは自分の仕事に熱心な人を見るであろうか。
彼は王の前に立つであろう。
彼は卑しい者の前に立つべきではない。

 

1 名声は多くの富よりも望ましい。愛顧は銀や金にまさる。
2 富む者と貧しい者とは互いに出会う。これらすべてを造られたのは主である。
3 利口な者はわざわいを見て、これを避け、わきまえのない者は進んで行って、罰を受ける。
4 謙遜と、主を恐れることの報いは、富と誉れといのちである。
5 曲がった者の道にはいばらをわながある。たましいを守る者はこれらから遠ざかる。
6 若者をその行く道にふさわしく教育せよ。そうすれば、年老いても、それから離れない。
7 富む者は貧しい者を支配する。借りる者は貸す者のしもべとなる。
8 不正を蒔く者はわざわいを刈り取る。彼の怒りの杖はすたれる。
9 善意の人は祝福を受ける。自分のパンを寄るべのない者に与えるから。
10 あざける者を追い出せ。そうすれば、争いも出て行く。けんかも、悪口もやむ。
11 心のきよさを愛し、優しく話をする者は、王がその友となる。
12 主の目は知識を見守り、裏切り者のことばをくつがえす。
13 なまけ者は言う。「獅子が外にいる。私はちまたで殺される」と。
14 他国の女の口車は深い穴のようだ。主の憤りに触れた者がそこに落ち込む。
15 愚かさは子どもの心につながれている。懲らしめの杖がこれを断ち切る。
16 自分を富まそうと寄るベのない者をしいたげる人、富む人に与える者は、必ず乏しくなる。
17 耳を傾けて、知恵のある者のことばを聞け。あなたの心を私の知識に向けよ。
18 これらをあなたのうちに保つなら、楽しいことだ。これらをみな、あなたのくちびるに備えておけ。
19 あなたが主に拠り頼むことができるように、私はきょう、特にあなたに教える。
20 私はあなたのために、勧告と知識についての三十句を書いたではないか。
21 これはあなたに真理のことばの確かさを教え、あなたを遣わした者に真理のことばを持ち帰らせるためである。
22 貧しい者を、彼が貧しいからといって、かすめ取るな。悩む者を門のところで押さえつけるな。
23 主が彼らの訴えを弁護し、彼らを奪う者のいのちを奪うからだ。
24 おこりっぽい者と交わるな。激しやすい者といっしょに行くな。
25 あなたがそのならわしにならって、自分自身がわなにかかるといけないから。
26 あなたは人と誓約をしてはならない。他人の負債の保証人となってはならない。
27 あなたに、償うものがないとき、人があなたの下から寝床を奪い取ってもよかろうか。
28 あなたの先祖が立てた昔からの地境を移してはならない。
29 じょうずな仕事をする人を見たことがあるか。その人は王の前には立つが、自分の卑しい人の前には立たない。

 

A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.
2 The rich and the poor meet together--the LORD is the maker of them all.
3 A prudent man seeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the thoughtless pass on, and are punished.
4 The reward of humility is the fear of the LORD, even riches, and honour, and life.
5 Thorns and snares are in the way of the froward; he that keepeth his soul holdeth himself far from them.
6 Train up a child in the way he should go, and even when he is old, he will not depart from it.
7 The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.
8 He that soweth iniquity shall reap vanity; and the rod of his wrath shall fail.
9 He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor.
10 Cast out the scorner, and contention will go out; yea, strife and shame will cease.
11 He that loveth pureness of heart, that hath grace in his lips, the king shall be his friend.
12 The eyes of the LORD preserve him that hath knowledge, but He overthroweth the words of the faithless man.
13 The sluggard saith: 'There is a lion without; I shall be slain in the streets.'
14 The mouth of strange women is a deep pit: he that is abhorred of the LORD shall fall therein.
15 Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.
16 One may oppress the poor, yet will their gain increase; one may give to the rich, yet will want come.
17 Incline thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thy heart unto my knowledge.
18 For it is a pleasant thing if thou keep them within thee; let them be established altogether upon thy lips.
19 That thy trust may be in the LORD, I have made them known to thee this day, even to thee.
20 Have not I written unto thee excellent things of counsels and knowledge;
21 That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth, that thou mightest bring back words of truth to them that send thee?
22 Rob not the weak, because he is weak, neither crush the poor in the gate;
23 For the LORD will plead their cause, and despoil of life those that despoil them.
24 Make no friendship with a man that is given to anger; and with a wrathful man thou shalt not go;
25 Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul.
26 Be thou not of them that strike hands, or of them that are sureties for debts;
27 If thou hast not wherewith to pay, why should he take away thy bed from under thee?
28 Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set.
29 Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; 
he shall not stand before mean men.
