ヨハネの黙示録１０章

 

1　それから、もう一人の力強い天使が、雲に包まれて天から下って来るのを見た。
その頭上には虹がかかっていた。
その顔は太陽のようであり，その足は火柱のようだった。
2　その手には小さな巻物があり、開いていた。
彼は右足を海の上に置き，左足を陸の上に置いた。 
3　それから，獅子の咆哮のような大声で叫んだ。
そして，彼が叫ぶと，七つの雷がその声を響かせた。 
4　七つの雷が語った時、私はそれを書きとめようとした。
しかし、私は天から声がするのを聞いた。
「七つの雷が言ったことを封印し、｛書き留めて｝はならない！」 
5　その時、私が海と陸の上に立っているのを見た天使が、右手を天に上げた。
6　そして，天とその中のすべてのもの，地とその中のすべてのもの，海とその中のすべてのものを創造した永遠に生きておられる方によって誓った。
「もはや，遅れることはない。 
7　しかし，第七の天使がラッパを鳴らそうとする声の頃には，神の神秘は，神の僕である預言者達に宣言されたとおりに成就する。」 
8　その時、天から聞いた声が再び私に語りかけた。
「行って、海と陸の上に立っている天使の手に開いている小さな巻物を取りなさい！」 
9　そして，私は天使のところに行き，「その小さな巻物をください」と言った。
「それを取って食べなさい ！」と言った。
「それはあなたの胃を苦くするでしょうが、あなたの口には蜜のように甘くなるでしょう。」 
10　そこで、私は天使の手から小さな巻物を取って食べました。
口の中では蜜のように甘かったのですが、それを食べると、私の胃は苦くなってしまった。 
11　そして、彼らは私に言った。
「あなたはもう一度、多くの民と国と異国と王について預言しなさい！」

 

1 また私は、もうひとりの強い御使いが、雲に包まれて、天から降りて来るのを見た。その頭上には虹があって、その顔は太陽のようであり、その足は火の柱のようだった。

3 獅子がほえるときのように大声で叫んだ。彼が叫んだとき、七つの雷がおのおの声を出した。
4 七つの雷が語ったとき、私は書き留めようとした。すると、天から声があって、「七つの雷が言ったことは封じて、書きしるすな」と言うのを聞いた。
5 それから、私の見た海と地との上に立つ御使いは、右手を天に上げて、
6 永遠に生き、天とその中にあるもの、地とその中にあるもの、海とその中にあるものを創造された方をさして、誓った。「もはや時が延ばされることはない。
7 第七の御使いが吹き鳴らそうとしているラッパの音が響くその日には、神の奥義は、神がご自身のしもべである預言者たちに告げられたとおりに成就する。」
8 それから、前にも私が天から聞いた声が、また私に話しかけて言った。「さあ行って、海と地との上に立っている御使いの手にある、開かれた巻き物を受け取りなさい。」
9 それで、私は御使いのところに行って、「その小さな巻き物を下さい」と言った。すると、彼は言った。「それを取って食べなさい。それはあなたの腹には苦いが、あなたの口には蜜のように甘い。」
10 そこで、私は御使いの手からその小さな巻き物を取って食べた。すると、それは口には蜜のように甘かった。それを食べてしまうと、私の腹は苦くなった。
11 そのとき、彼らは私に言った。「あなたは、もう一度、もろもろの民族、国民、国語、王たちについて預言しなければならない。」

1Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven, wrapped in a cloud, [with] a rainbow above his head. His face [was] like the sun, and his legs like pillars of fire.
2He held in his hand a small scroll, which lay open. He placed his right foot on the sea and [his] left [foot] on the land. 
3Then he cried out in a loud voice like the roar of a lion. And when he cried out, the seven thunders sounded their voices. 
4When the seven thunders had spoken, I was about to put it in writing. But I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Seal up what the seven thunders have said, and {do} not write it {down}.” 
5Then the angel I had seen standing on the sea and on the land lifted up his right hand to heaven. 
6And he swore by Him who lives forever [and] ever, who created heaven and [everything] in it, the earth and [everything] in it, and the sea and [everything] in it: “There will be no more delay! 
7But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound [his] trumpet, the mystery of God will be fulfilled, just as He proclaimed to His servants, the prophets.” 
8Then the voice that I had heard from heaven spoke to me again, saying, “Go, take the small scroll that lies open in the hand of the angel standing on the sea and on the land.” 
9And I went to the angel [and] said, “Give me the small scroll.” “Take [it] and eat it,” he said. “It will make your stomach {bitter}, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey.” 
10[So] I took the small scroll from the angel’s hand and ate it; and it was sweet as honey in my mouth, [but] when I had eaten it, my stomach turned bitter. 
11And they told me, “You must prophesy again about many peoples and nations and tongues and kings.”

1　その時，第五の天使がラッパを鳴らした。
そして、私は天から地上に降ってきた一つの星を見たが，それはアビスの穴｛底知れぬ穴｝の鍵を授けられていた 
2　星が底知れぬ穴を開くと，大きな炉の煙のように煙が立ちのぼり，その煙で太陽も空気も暗くなった。
3　その煙の中から，いなごが地上に降り，地のさそりのような力を与えられた。
4　それらは、地の草やどんな植物や木にも害を与えてはならないと言われたが、額に神の印のない者にだけは、害を与えることができた。 
5　いなごには彼らを殺す力はなく、ただ五か月間、彼らを苦しめる力だけが与えられており、その苦しみはさそりの刺すようなものであった。
6　その頃，人は死を求めても見いだせず，死にたいと願っても，死は逃げてしまう。
7　また，いなごは戦いに備えた馬のように見えて，その頭には金の冠のようなものがあり，顔は人の顔のようであった。
8　それらは女の髪のようであり、ライオンの歯のようであった。
9　彼らはまた鉄の胸当てのような胸部を持ち、その翼の音は戦いに突入する多くの馬と戦車の咆哮のようであった。
10　彼らは尾にさそりのような針があり、五か月の間、人を傷つける力があった。
11　彼らは、深淵の天使である王によって支配されていた。
その名はヘブル語でアバドン、ギリシャ語でアポリオンという。

12　第一の災いは過ぎ去った。見よ！二つの災いがまだ続く。

13　その時、第六の天使がラッパを鳴らすと、
私は神の前にある金の祭壇の四つの角から声がするのを聞いた。
14　ラッパを持つ第六の天使に言った。
「大河ユーフラテスに縛られている四人の天使を解放しなさい！」
15　そこで、この時、この日、この月、この年のために用意されていた四人の天使は、人類の三分の一を殺すために解き放たれた。
16　騎兵の数は二億であり，私はその数を聞いた。
17　さて，私の幻の中の馬と乗り手は，このように見えた。
乗り手は火とサファイアと硫黄の色の胸当てをしていた。
馬の頭は獅子の頭のようであり、その口からは火と煙と硫黄が出た。
18　人類の三分の一が、彼らの口から出る火と煙と硫黄石の三つの災いによって殺された。
19　馬の力はその口と尾にあり、その尾は蛇のようで、頭を持ち、害を加えることができたからである。
20　これらの災いによって殺されなかった残りの人類は、それでもなお、自分たちの手の業を悔い改めることはなかった。
彼らは悪魔と、見ることも聞くことも歩くこともできない金、銀、青銅、石、木の偶像を拝むことをやめなかった。
21　さらに、殺人、魔術、性的不道徳、窃盗を悔い改めなかった。

1 第五の御使いがラッパを吹き鳴らした。すると、私は一つの星が天から地上に落ちるのを見た。その星には底知れぬ穴を開くかぎが与えられた。
2 その星が、底知れぬ穴を開くと、穴から大きな炉の煙のような煙が立ち上り、太陽も空も、この穴の煙によって暗くなった。
3 その煙の中から、いなごが地上に出て来た。彼らには、地のさそりの持つような力が与えられた。
4 そして彼らは、地の草やすべての青草や、すべての木には害を加えないで、ただ、額に神の印を押されていない人間にだけ害を加えるように言い渡された。
5 しかし、人間を殺すことは許されず、ただ五か月の間苦しめることだけが許された。その与えた苦痛は、さそりが人を刺したときのような苦痛であった。
6 その期間には、人々は死を求めるが、どうしても見いだせず、死を願うが、死が彼らから逃げて行くのである。
7 そのいなごの形は、出陣の用意の整った馬に似ていた。頭に金の冠のようなものを着け、顔は人間の顔のようであった。
8 また女の髪のような毛があり、歯は、獅子の歯のようであった。
9 また、鉄の胸当てのような胸当てを着け、その翼の音は、多くの馬に引かれた戦車が、戦いに馳せつけるときの響きのようであった。
10 そのうえ彼らは、さそりのような尾と針とを持っており、尾には、五か月間人間に害を加える力があった。
11 彼らは、底知れぬ所の御使いを王にいただいている。彼の名はヘブル語でアバドンといい、キリシヤ語でアポリュオンという。
12 第一のわざわいは過ぎ去った。見よ。この後なお二つのわざわいが来る。
13 第六の御使いがラッパを吹き鳴らした。すると、私は神の御前にある金の祭壇の四隅から出る声を聞いた。
14 その声がラッパを持っている第六の御使いに言った。「大川ユーフラテスのほとりにつながれている四人の御使いを解き放せ。」
15 すると、定められた時、日、月、年のために用意されていた四人の御使いが、人類の三分の一を殺すために解き放された。
16 騎兵の軍勢の数は二億であった。私はその数を聞いた。
17 私が幻の中で見た馬とそれに乗る人たちの様子はこうであった。騎兵は、火のような赤、くすぶった青、燃える硫黄の色の胸当てを着けており、馬の頭は、獅子の頭のようで、口からは火と煙と硫黄とが出ていた。
18 これら三つの災害、すなわち、彼らの口から出ている火と煙と硫黄とのために、人類の三分の一は殺された。
19 馬の力はその口とその尾とにあって、その尾は蛇のようであり、それに頭があって、その頭で害を加えるのである。
20 これらの災害によって殺されずに残った人々は、その手のわざを悔い改めないで、悪霊どもや、金、銀、銅、石、木で造られた、見ることも聞くことも歩くこともできない偶像を拝み続け、
21 その殺人や、魔術や、不品行や、盗みを悔い改めなかった。

1Then the fifth angel sounded [his] trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from heaven to earth, and it was given the key to the pit of the Abyss. 
2[The star] opened the pit of the Abyss, and smoke rose out of [it] like [the] smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke from the pit.
3And out of the smoke, locusts descended on the earth, and they were given power like [that of] the scorpions of the earth.
4They were told not to harm the grass of the earth [or] any plant [or] tree, but only those who did not have the seal of God on [their] foreheads. 
5[The locusts] were not given power to kill them, but only to torment [them] [for] five months, and their torment [was] like the stinging of a scorpion.
6In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will long to die, [but] death will escape them.
7And the locusts looked like horses prepared for battle, [with something] like crowns of gold on their heads, and faces like [the] faces of men.
8They had hair like [that] of women, and teeth like [those] of lions.
9They also had thoraxes like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings [was] like [the] roar of many horses [and] chariots rushing into battle.
10They had tails with stingers like scorpions, [which] had the power to injure people for five months.
11They were ruled by a king, the angel of the Abyss. His name in Hebrew [is] Abaddon, and in Greek [it is] Apollyon.
12The first woe has passed. Behold, two woes [are] still to follow.
13Then the sixth angel sounded [his] trumpet, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar before God
14saying to the sixth angel with the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.”
15[So] the four angels who had been prepared for [this] hour and day and month and year were released to kill a third of mankind.
16And the number of mounted troops [was] two hundred million; I heard their number.
17[Now] the horses and riders in [my] vision looked like this: [The riders] had breastplates [the colors of] fire, sapphire, and brimstone. The heads of the horses [were] like [the] heads of lions, and out of their mouths came fire, smoke, and brimstone.
18A third of mankind was killed by [the] three plagues of fire, smoke, and brimstone that proceeded from their mouths.
19For the power of the horses was in their mouths and in their tails; indeed, their tails [were] like snakes, having heads with which to inflict harm.
20The rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the works of their hands. They did not stop worshiping demons and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone, and wood, which cannot see [or] hear [or] walk.
21Furthermore, they did not repent of their murder, sorcery, sexual immorality, [and] theft.

1［子羊］が第七の封印を解いた時、天には約30分の間沈黙があった。
2　そして、神の前に立っている七人の天使が、七つのラッパを与えられているのを見た。
3　それから、金の香炉を持った別の天使がやって来て、祭壇の前に立った。
彼は多くの香を与えられて、すべての聖徒の祈りとともに、御座の前の金の祭壇に捧げるようにと言われた。
4　香の煙は聖徒の祈りとともに，天使の手から神の御前に立ちのぼった。
5　それから、天使は香炉を取り、祭壇の火で満たし、地に向かって投げつけた。すると雷鳴とごう音と稲妻と地震があった。 
6　そして，七つのラッパを持った七人の天使が，それを鳴らす用意をしていた。

7　そこで，最初の［天使］がラッパを鳴らすと，
血の混じった火と雹が地に投げつけられた。
地の三分の一が焼き尽くされ，三分の一の木とすべての青草も焼き尽くされた。

8それから，第二の天使がラッパを鳴らすと，
火で焼かれた大きな山のようなものが海に投げ込まれた。
海の三分の一が血に変わり
9海の中の生き物の三分の一が死に、船の三分の一が破壊された。

10　それから、第三の天使がラッパを鳴らすと、
たいまつのように燃える大きな星が天から降ってきて、
川の三分の一と水の泉の上に降り立った｛落ちた｝。
11　その星の名は「苦よもぎ」である。
水の三分の一が苦よもぎの油のように苦くなり、多くの人がその苦い水で死んだ。

12　それから、第四の天使がラッパを鳴らすと、
太陽と月と星の三分の一が打たれた。
星の三分の一が暗くなり、昼の三分の一が光を失い、夜も三分の一になった。
13 私が見ていると，鷲が頭上を飛びながら，大声で「災いだ！」と呼ぶのが聞こえた。
「災いだ。災いだ！ 地上に住む者に災いだ！ 
残りの三人の天使によって鳴らされようとしているラッパの音のせいで！」

1 小羊が第七の封印を解いたとき、天に半時間ばかり静けさがあった。
2 それから私は、神の御前に立つ七人の御使いを見た。彼らに七つのラッパが与えられた。
3 また、もうひとりの御使いが出て来て、金の香炉を持って祭壇のところに立った。彼にたくさんの香が与えられた。すべての聖徒の祈りとともに、御座の前にある金の祭壇の上にささげるためであった。
4 香の煙は、聖徒たちの祈りとともに、御使いの手から神の御前に立ち上った。
5 それから、御使いは、その香炉を取り、祭壇の火でそれを満たしてから、地に投げつけた。すると、雷鳴と声といなずまと地震が起こった。
6 すると、七つのラッパを持っていた七人の御使いはラッパを吹く用意をした。
7 第一の御使いがラッパを吹き鳴らした。すると、血の混じった雹と火とが現れ、地上に投げられた。そして地上の三分の一が焼け、木の三分の一も焼け、青草が全部焼けてしまった。
8 第二の御使いがラッパを吹き鳴らした。すると、火の燃えている大きな山のようなものが、海に投げ込まれた。そして海の三分の一が血となった。
9 すると、海の中にいた、いのちのあるものの三分の一が死に、舟の三分の一も打ちこわされた。
10 第三の御使いがラッパを吹き鳴らした。すると、たいまつのように燃えている大きな星が天から落ちて来て、川々の三分の一とその水源に落ちた。
11 この星の名は苦よもぎと呼ばれ、川の水の三分の一は苦よもぎのようになった。水が苦くなったので、その水のために多くの人が死んだ。
12 第四の御使いがラッパを吹き鳴らした。すると、太陽の三分の一と、月の三分の一と、星の三分の一が打たれたので、三分の一は暗くなり、昼の三分の一は光を失い、また夜も同様であった。
13 また私は見た。一羽の鷲があ中天を飛びながら、大声で言うのを聞いた。「わざわいが来る。わざわいが、わざわいが来る。地に住む人々に。あと三人の御使いがラッパを吹き鳴らそうとしている。」

1Καὶ ὅταν ἤνοιξεν τὴν σφραγῖδα τὴν ἑβδόμην ἐγένετο σιγὴ ἐν τῷ οὐρανῷ ὡς ἡμιώριον
2καὶ εἶδον τοὺς ἑπτὰ ἀγγέλους οἳ ἐνώπιον τοῦ Θεοῦ ἑστήκασιν καὶ ἐδόθησαν αὐτοῖς ἑπτὰ σάλπιγγες
3Καὶ ἄλλος ἄγγελος ἦλθεν καὶ ἐστάθη ἐπὶ τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου ἔχων λιβανωτὸν χρυσοῦν καὶ ἐδόθη αὐτῷ θυμιάματα πολλὰ ἵνα δώσει ταῖς προσευχαῖς τῶν ἁγίων πάντων ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον τὸ χρυσοῦν τὸ ἐνώπιον τοῦ θρόνου
4καὶ ἀνέβη ὁ καπνὸς τῶν θυμιαμάτων ταῖς προσευχαῖς τῶν ἁγίων ἐκ χειρὸς τοῦ ἀγγέλου ἐνώπιον τοῦ Θεοῦ
5Καὶ εἴληφεν ὁ ἄγγελος τὸν λιβανωτόν καὶ ἐγέμισεν αὐτὸν ἐκ τοῦ πυρὸς τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου καὶ ἔβαλεν εἰς τὴν γῆν καὶ ἐγένοντο βρονταὶ καὶ φωναὶ καὶ ἀστραπαὶ καὶ σεισμός
6Καὶ οἱ ἑπτὰ ἄγγελοι οἱ ἔχοντες τὰς ἑπτὰ σάλπιγγας ἡτοίμασαν αὑτοὺς ἵνα σαλπίσωσιν
7Καὶ ὁ πρῶτος ἐσάλπισεν καὶ ἐγένετο χάλαζα καὶ πῦρ μεμιγμένα ἐν αἵματι καὶ ἐβλήθη εἰς τὴν γῆν καὶ τὸ τρίτον τῆς γῆς κατεκάη καὶ τὸ τρίτον τῶν δένδρων κατεκάη καὶ πᾶς χόρτος χλωρὸς κατεκάη
8Καὶ ὁ δεύτερος ἄγγελος ἐσάλπισεν καὶ ὡς ὄρος μέγα πυρὶ καιόμενον ἐβλήθη εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν καὶ ἐγένετο τὸ τρίτον τῆς θαλάσσης αἷμα
9καὶ ἀπέθανεν τὸ τρίτον τῶν κτισμάτων τῶν ἐν τῇ θαλάσσῃ τὰ ἔχοντα ψυχάς καὶ τὸ τρίτον τῶν πλοίων διεφθάρησαν
10Καὶ ὁ τρίτος ἄγγελος ἐσάλπισεν καὶ ἔπεσεν ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ἀστὴρ μέγας καιόμενος ὡς λαμπάς καὶ ἔπεσεν ἐπὶ τὸ τρίτον τῶν ποταμῶν καὶ ἐπὶ τὰς πηγὰς τῶν ὑδάτων
11καὶ τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ ἀστέρος λέγεται Ὁ Ἄψινθος καὶ ἐγένετο τὸ τρίτον τῶν ὑδάτων εἰς ἄψινθον καὶ πολλοὶ τῶν ἀνθρώπων ἀπέθανον ἐκ τῶν ὑδάτων ὅτι ἐπικράνθησαν
12Καὶ ὁ τέταρτος ἄγγελος ἐσάλπισεν καὶ ἐπλήγη τὸ τρίτον τοῦ ἡλίου καὶ τὸ τρίτον τῆς σελήνης καὶ τὸ τρίτον τῶν ἀστέρων ἵνα σκοτισθῇ τὸ τρίτον αὐτῶν καὶ ἡ ἡμέρα μὴ φάνῃ τὸ τρίτον αὐτῆς καὶ ἡ νὺξ ὁμοίως
13Καὶ εἶδον καὶ ἤκουσα ἑνὸς ἀετοῦ πετομένου ἐν μεσουρανήματι λέγοντος φωνῇ μεγάλῃ Οὐαὶ οὐαὶ οὐαὶ τοὺς κατοικοῦντας ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἐκ τῶν λοιπῶν φωνῶν τῆς σάλπιγγος τῶν τριῶν ἀγγέλων τῶν μελλόντων σαλπίζειν

1When [the Lamb] opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.
2And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and they were given seven trumpets.
3Then another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, along with the prayers of all the saints, on the golden altar before the throne.
4And the smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of the saints, rose up before God from [the] hand of the angel.
5Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled [it] to the earth; and there were peals of thunder, and rumblings, and flashes of lightning, and an earthquake. 
6And the seven angels with the seven trumpets prepared to sound [them].
7Then the first [angel] sounded [his] trumpet, and hail and fire mixed with blood were flung to the earth. A third of the earth was burned up, along with a third of the trees and all [the] green grass.
8Then the second angel sounded [his] trumpet, and [something] like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea turned to blood,
9a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.
10Then the third angel sounded [his] trumpet, and a great star burning like a torch fell from heaven and [landed] on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water.
11The name of the star [is] Wormwood. A third of the waters turned [bitter] like wormwood oil, and many people died from the bitter waters.
12Then the fourth angel sounded [his] trumpet, and a third of the sun and moon and stars were struck. A third of [the stars] were darkened, a third of the day was without light, and [a third of] the night as well. 
13And as I observed, I heard an eagle flying overhead, calling in a loud voice, “Woe! Woe! Woe to those who dwell on the earth, because of the trumpet blasts about to be sounded by the remaining three angels!”
