箴言７章

わが子よ！私のいくつもの言葉を守りなさい！
そして、私のいくつもの戒めをあなたとともに宝物のように大切にするように！
My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee.
1 わが子よ。私のことばを守り、私の命令をあなたのうちにたくわえよ。

私のいくつもの戒めを守りなさい！
そうして、生きなさい！
私の教えをあなたの目の瞳のように守りなさい！ ☆
2 Keep my commandments and live, and my teaching as the apple of thine eye.
2 私の命令を守って、生きよ。私のおしえを、あなたのひとみのように守れ。

それらをあなたのいくつもの指に結びつけなさい！
あなたの心の板の上にそれらを書きしるしなさい！
3 Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thy heart.
3 それをあなたの指に結び、あなたの心の板に書きしるせ。

知恵に向かって、「あなたは私の姉妹です。」と言いなさい！
そして、悟りをあなたの身内の者と呼ぶように！
4 Say unto wisdom: 'Thou art my sister', and call understanding thy kinswoman;
4 知恵に向かって、「あなたは私の姉妹だ」と言い、悟りを「身内の者」と呼べ。

5 That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the alien woman that maketh smooth her words.

7 And I beheld among the thoughtless ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding,

8 Passing through the street near her corner, and he went the way to her house;

10 And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of a harlot, and wily of heart.

11 彼女は暴れ、反逆し、その足は家にとどまらず、
11 She is riotous and rebellious, her feet abide not in her house;
11 この女は騒がしくて、御しにくく、その足は自分の家にとどまらず、

12 彼女は通りにおり、また広い所におり、すべての角で待ち伏せしています。
12 Now she is in the streets, now in the broad places, and lieth in wait at every corner.
12 あるときは通りに、あるときは市場にあり、あるいは、あちこちの町かどに立って待ち伏せる。

13 そこで、彼女は彼を捕えて口づけし、不遜な顔をして彼に言いました。
13 So she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face she said unto him:

14 'Sacrifices of peace-offerings were due from me; this day have I paid my vows.

15 Therefore came I forth to meet thee, to seek thy face, and I have found thee.

16 I have decked my couch with coverlets, with striped cloths of the yarn of Egypt.

17 I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.

18 Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning; let us solace ourselves with loves.

19 For my husband is not at home, he is gone a long journey;

21 With her much fair speech she causeth him to yield, with the blandishment of her lips she enticeth him away.

22 He goeth after her straightway, as an ox that goeth to the slaughter, or as one in fetters to the correction of the fool;

23 矢がその肝臓を射貫くまで、鳥が罠に急ぐように、その罠にかかっていることを知りません。
23 Till an arrow strike through his liver; as a bird hasteneth to the snare
and knoweth not that it is at the cost of his life.
23 ついには、矢が肝を射通し、鳥がわなに飛び込むように、自分のいのちがかかっているのを知らない。

24 それゆえ、あなたがたの子ども達よ！私に聞き従い、私の口の言葉に聞き従いなさい！
24 Now therefore, O ye children, hearken unto me, and attend to the words of my mouth.
24 子どもらよ。今、私に聞き従い、私の言うことに心を留めよ。

25 あなたの心をその道にそむけさせてはなりません。その通り道に迷ってはりません。
25 Let not thy heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths.
25 あなたの心は、彼女の道に迷い込んではならない。その通り道に迷ってはならない。

26 彼女は多くの傷ついた者を投げ倒しました。彼女に殺された者は数えきれません。
26 For she hath cast down many wounded; yea, a mighty host are all her slain.

27 Her house is the way to the nether-world, going down to the chambers of death.

わが子よ！私のいくつもの言葉を守りなさい！
そして、私のいくつもの戒めをあなたとともに宝物のように大切にするように！
私のいくつもの戒めを守りなさい！
そうして、生きなさい！
私の教えをあなたの目の瞳のように守りなさい！ ☆
それらをあなたのいくつもの指に結びつけなさい！

My son, keep my words and treasure my commandments within you. 
2Keep my commandments and live; guard my teachings as the apple of your eye. 
3Tie them to your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart.
4Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” and call understanding your kinsman, 
5that they may keep you from the adulteress, from the stranger with seductive words. 
6For at the window of my house I looked through the lattice.
7I saw among the simple, I noticed among the youths, a young man lacking judgment, 
8crossing the street near her corner, strolling down the road to her house, 
9at twilight, as the day was fading, into the dark of the night. 
10Then a woman came out to meet him, [with] attire of a prostitute and cunning of heart. 
11She is loud and defiant; her feet do not remain at home.
12Now in the street, now in the squares, she lurks at every corner. 
13She seizes him and kisses him; she brazenly says to him:
14“I have made my peace offerings; today I have paid my vows.
15So I came out to meet you; I sought you, and I have found you. 
16I have decked my bed with coverings, with colored linen from Egypt. 
17I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, with aloes, and with cinnamon.
18Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning. Let us delight in loving caresses!
19For my husband is not at home; he has gone on a long journey. 
20He took with him a bag of money and will not be returning until the moon [is] full.”
21With her great persuasion she entices him; she lures him with her flattering lips. 
22He follows her on impulse, like an ox going to the slaughter, like a deer bounding into a trap,
23until an arrow pierces his liver, like a bird darting into a snare— not knowing it will cost him his life.
24Now, my sons, listen to me, and attend to the words of my mouth.
25Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways; do not stray into her paths.
26For she has brought many down to death; her slain are many in number.
27Her house is the road to Sheol, descending to the chambers of death.
