創世記１章１～５節　要研究

はじめに、神は天と空と地を創造しました。
さて、地は形がありませんでした。
そして、深淵の表面に空虚と闇がありました。
そして、神の霊がいくつもの水の表面を漂っていました。
そして、神は言われました。
「光があるようになれ！」
すると、光がありました。
そして、神はその光を見て、それが良いものだったことを知り、神はその光の間とその闇の間を分けました。
そして、神は光を日と呼び、闇を夜と呼びました。

And the earth was without form and void and darkness was upon the face of the deep And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters

6 神は言われました。
「水の中に大空があり、水と水とを分けるように！」
And God said Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters and let it divide the waters from the waters
6 神は仰せられた。「大空の水の真っただ中にあれ。水と水との間に区別があれ。」

7 神は大空を造って、大空の下にある水と大空の上にある水を分けられました。
And God made the firmament and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament and it was so
7 神は大空を造り、大空の下の水と、大空の上の水とを区別された。そのようになりました。

8 そして、神は大空を天と呼ばれました。
夕べがあり、朝があり、第二の日がありました。
And God called the firmament Heaven And the evening and the morning were the second day
8 神は大空を天と名づけられた。夕があり、朝がありました。第二日。

9 神は言われました。
「天の下の水を一カ所に集め、乾いた地を現われさせよ！」
そして、そのとおりになりました。
And God said Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place and let the dry land appear and it was so
9 神は仰せられた。「天の下の水が一所に集まれ。かわいた所が現れよ。」そのようになりました。

10 神は乾いた地を地と呼び、水の集まった所を海と呼ばれました。
そして、神はそれがよいことを見られました。
And God called the dry land Earth and the gathering together of the waters called the Seas and God saw that it was good
10 神はかわいた所を地と名づけ、水の集まった所を海と名づけられた。神はそれを見て良しとされた。

11 神は言われました。
「地は草を生やし、草は種を生み、果樹はその種がある種類にしたがって実を結び、地の上に生えるようにしなさい！」
すると、そのとおりになりました。
And God said Let the earth bring forth grass the herb yielding seed and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind whose seed is in itself upon the earth and it was so
11 神は仰せられた。「地が植物、すなわち種を生じる草やその中に種がある身を結ぶ果樹を、種類にしたがって、地の上に芽ばえさせよ。」そのようになりました。

12 地は草を生やし、草はその種類にしたがって種を蒔き、木はその種にしたがって実を結ぶようになりました。
And the earth brought forth grass and herb yielding seed after his kind and the tree yielding fruit whose seed was in itself after his kind and God saw that it was good
12 地は植物、すなわち種を生じる草を、種類にしたがって、またその中に種がある実を結ぶ木を、種類にしたがって生じさせた。神はそれを見て良しとされた。

13 夕べがあり、朝があり、三日目がありました。
And the evening and the morning were the third day
13 夕があり、朝がありました。第三日。

14 神は言われました。
「天の大空に光があって、昼と夜を分け、しるしとし、季節とし、日や年とするように！」
And God said Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years
14 神は仰せられた。「光る物が天の大空にあって、昼と夜とを区別せよ。しるしのため、季節のため、日のため、年のためにあれ。

15 また、天の大空にあって、地の上に光を与える光とせよ！」
そして、そのとおりになりました。
And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth and it was so
15 また天の大空で光る物となり、地上を照らせ。」そのようになりました。

16 神は二つの大きな光を造られました。
大きな光は昼を支配し、小さな光は夜を支配するものであり、また、星も造られました。
And God made two great lights the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night he made the stars also
16 神は二つの大きな光る物を造られた。大きいほうの光る物には昼をつかさどらせ、小さいほうの光る物には夜をつかさどらせた。また星を造られた。

17 神はこれらを天の大空に置いて、地の上に光を与えるようにされました。
And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth
17 神はそれらを天の大空に置き、地上を照らさせ、

18 そして、昼と夜を支配し、光と闇を分けるために置かれました。
And to rule over the day and over the night and to divide the light from the darkness and God saw that it was good
18 また昼と夜とをつかさどり、光とやみとを区別するようにされた。神はそれを見て良しとされた。

19 夕べがあり、朝があり、四日目がありました。
And the evening and the morning were the fourth day
19 夕があり、朝がありました。第四日。

20 神は言われました。
「水は生き物の群れで満ち、鳥は天の広き大空を地の上に飛ぶように！」
And God said Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven
20 神は仰せられた。「水には生き物が群がれ。鳥が地の上、天の大空を飛べ。」

21 神は大海獣と水に群がるすべての這う生き物をその種類にしたがって創造し、また、翼のあるすべての鳥をその種類にしたがって創造されたので、神はそれを見て、よかったと言われました。
And God created great whales and every living creature that moveth which the waters brought forth abundantly after their kind and every winged fowl after his kind and God saw that it was good
21 神は、海の巨獣と、種類にしたがって、水に群がりうごめくすべての生き物と、種類にしたがって、翼のあるすべての鳥を創造された。神はそれを見て良しとされた。

22 神は彼らを祝福して言われました。
「生めよ！増えよ！海の水を満たし、地の上に鳥よ増えよ！」
And God blessed them saying Be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters in the seas and let fowl multiply in the earth
22 神はそれらを祝福して仰せられた。「生めよ。ふえよ。海の水に満ちよ。また鳥は地にふえよ。」

23 そして、夕べがあり、朝がありました。五日目です。
And the evening and the morning were the fifth day
23 夕があり、朝がありました。第五日。

24 神は言われました。
「地はその種類にしたがって生き物を、家畜を、這うものを、地の獣を、その種類にしたがって生めよ！」
そして、そのとおりになりました。
And God said Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth after his kind and it was so
24 神は仰せられた。「地が、種類にしたがって、生き物を生ぜよ。家畜や、はうもの、野の獣を、種類にしたがって。」そのようになりました。

25 神は地の動物をその種類にしたがって造り、家畜をその種類にしたがって造り、地を這うすべてのものをその種類にしたがって造られたので、神はそれがよいことを見られました。
And God made the beast of the earth after his kind and cattle after their kind and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind and God saw that it was good
25 神は、種類にしたがって野の獣を、種類にしたがって家畜を、種類にしたがって地のすべてのはうものを造られた。神はそれを見て良しとされた。

26 そして、神は言われました。
「わたし達の形に、わたし達に似せて人を造り、彼らに海の魚、空の鳥、家畜、全地、および地に這うすべての這うものの上に支配させよう！」
And God said Let us make man in our image after our likeness and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air and over the cattle and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth
26 神は仰せられた。「さあ人を造ろう。われわれのかたちとして、われわれに似せて。彼らが、海の魚、空の鳥、家畜、地のすべてのもの、地をはうすべてのものを支配するように。」

27 神はご自分の形に人を創造されました。
神の形に彼を創造し、男と女に彼らを創造されました。
So God created man in his own image in the image of God created he him male and female created he them
27 神は人をご自身のかたちとして創造された。神のかたちとして彼を創造し、男と女とに彼らを創造された。

28 そして、神は彼らを祝福し、神は彼らに言われました。
「実を結び、増やし、地に満ち、これを従わせ、海の魚、空の鳥、地を這うすべての生き物を支配しなさい！」
And God blessed them and God said unto them Be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth
28 神は彼らを祝福された。神は彼らに仰せられた。「生めよ。ふえよ。地を満たせ。地を従えよ。海の魚、空の鳥、地をはうすべての生き物を支配せよ。」

29 そして、神は言われました。
「見よ！わたしは全地の面にある種を生むすべての草と種を生む木の実のあるすべての木とをあなたがたに与えこれらをあなたがたへの食物にする。
And God said Behold I have given you every herb bearing seed which is upon the face of all the earth and every tree in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed to you it shall be for meat
29 神は仰せられた。「見よ。わたしは、全治の上にあって、種を持つすべての草と、種を持って実を結ぶすべての木をあなたがたに与える。それがあなたがたの食物となる。

30 また、地のすべての獣、空のすべての鳥、地の上を這うすべてのもので、生きている魂のあるものには、すべての青草を食物とするために与えた。」
そして、そのとおりになりました。
And to every beast of the earth and to every fowl of the air and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth wherein there is life __ I have given every green herb for meat and it was so
30 また、地のすべての獣、空のすべての鳥、地をはうすべてのもので、いのちの息のあるもののために、食物として、すべての緑の草を与える。」

31 神は御自分の創造したすべてのものをご覧になりましたが、見よ！それは非常に良かったです。
そして、夕べがあり、朝がありました。六日目です。
And God saw every thing that he had made and behold it was very good And the evening and the morning were the sixth day
31 神はお造りになりましたすべてのものを見られた。見よ。それは非常に良かった。夕があり、朝がありました。第六日。

1 初めに、神が天と地を創造した。
2 地は茫漠として何もなかった。やみが大水の上にあり、神の霊が水の上を動いていた。
3 神は仰せられた。「光あれ。」すると光がありました。
4 神は光を見て良しとされた。神は光とやみを区別された。
5 神は光を昼と名づけ、やみを夜と名づけられた。夕があり、朝がありました。第一日。
6 神は仰せられた。「大空の水の真っただ中にあれ。水と水との間に区別があれ。」
7 神は大空を造り、大空の下の水と、大空の上の水とを区別された。そのようになりました。
8 神は大空を天と名づけられた。夕があり、朝がありました。第二日。
9 神は仰せられた。「天の下の水が一所に集まれ。かわいた所が現れよ。」そのようになりました。
10 神はかわいた所を地と名づけ、水の集まった所を海と名づけられた。神はそれを見て良しとされた。
11 神は仰せられた。「地が植物、すなわち種を生じる草やその中に種がある身を結ぶ果樹を、種類にしたがって、地の上に芽ばえさせよ。」そのようになりました。
12 地は植物、すなわち種を生じる草を、種類にしたがって、またその中に種がある実を結ぶ木を、種類にしたがって生じさせた。神はそれを見て良しとされた。
13 夕があり、朝がありました。第三日。
14 神は仰せられた。「光る物が天の大空にあって、昼と夜とを区別せよ。しるしのため、季節のため、日のため、年のためにあれ。
15 また天の大空で光る物となり、地上を照らせ。」そのようになりました。
16 神は二つの大きな光る物を造られた。大きいほうの光る物には昼をつかさどらせ、小さいほうの光る物には夜をつかさどらせた。また星を造られた。
17 神はそれらを天の大空に置き、地上を照らさせ、
18 また昼と夜とをつかさどり、光とやみとを区別するようにされた。神はそれを見て良しとされた。
19 夕があり、朝がありました。第四日。
20 神は仰せられた。「水には生き物が群がれ。鳥が地の上、天の大空を飛べ。」
21 神は、海の巨獣と、種類にしたがって、水に群がりうごめくすべての生き物と、種類にしたがって、翼のあるすべての鳥を創造された。神はそれを見て良しとされた。
22 神はそれらを祝福して仰せられた。「生めよ。ふえよ。海の水に満ちよ。また鳥は地にふえよ。」
23 夕があり、朝がありました。第五日。
24 神は仰せられた。「地が、種類にしたがって、生き物を生ぜよ。家畜や、はうもの、野の獣を、種類にしたがって。」そのようになりました。
25 神は、種類にしたがって野の獣を、種類にしたがって家畜を、種類にしたがって地のすべてのはうものを造られた。神はそれを見て良しとされた。
26 神は仰せられた。「さあ人を造ろう。われわれのかたちとして、われわれに似せて。彼らが、海の魚、空の鳥、家畜、地のすべてのもの、地をはうすべてのものを支配するように。」
27 神は人をご自身のかたちとして創造された。神のかたちとして彼を創造し、男と女とに彼らを創造された。
28 神は彼らを祝福された。神は彼らに仰せられた。「生めよ。ふえよ。地を満たせ。地を従えよ。海の魚、空の鳥、地をはうすべての生き物を支配せよ。」
29 神は仰せられた。「見よ。わたしは、全治の上にあって、種を持つすべての草と、種を持って実を結ぶすべての木をあなたがたに与える。それがあなたがたの食物となる。
30 また、地のすべての獣、空のすべての鳥、地をはうすべてのもので、いのちの息のあるもののために、食物として、すべての緑の草を与える。」
31 神はお造りになりましたすべてのものを見られた。見よ。それは非常に良かった。夕があり、朝がありました。第六日。

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 Now the earth was unformed and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the spirit of God hovered over the face of the waters.
3 And God said: 'Let there be light.' And there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day. 
6 And God said: 'Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.'
7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so.
8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day. 
9 And God said: 'Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear.' And it was so.
10 And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters called He Seas; and God saw that it was good.
11 And God said: 'Let the earth put forth grass, herb yielding seed, and fruit-tree bearing fruit after its kind, wherein is the seed thereof, upon the earth.' And it was so.
12 And the earth brought forth grass, herb yielding seed after its kind, and tree bearing fruit, wherein is the seed thereof, after its kind; and God saw that it was good.
13 And there was evening and there was morning, a third day. 
14 And God said: 'Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years;
15 and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth.' And it was so.
16 And God made the two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night; and the stars.
17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good.
19 And there was evening and there was morning, a fourth day. 
20 And God said: 'Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let fowl fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.'
21 And God created the great sea-monsters, and every living creature that creepeth, wherewith the waters swarmed, after its kind, and every winged fowl after its kind; and God saw that it was good.
22 And God blessed them, saying: 'Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.'
23 And there was evening and there was morning, a fifth day. 
24 And God said: 'Let the earth bring forth the living creature after its kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after its kind.' And it was so.
25 And God made the beast of the earth after its kind, and the cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good.
26 And God said: 'Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.'
27 And God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them.
28 And God blessed them; and God said unto them: 'Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that creepeth upon the earth.'
29 And God said: 'Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed--to you it shall be for food;
30 and to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is a living soul, [I have given] every green herb for food.' And it was so.
31 And God saw every thing that He had made, and, behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.
