Gunma prefecture : Maebashi city, Ikaho hot spring

I would like to inform Gunma prefecture trip.


I ride JR train through Takasaki to Maebashi.
I get off at Maebashi station, go north, after 18minutes walking, arrive at Jyomo train Maebashi Chuo station.
Jyomo train is connecting Maebashi to Kiryu.




I go to Ogo.
Ogo station has train maintenance field.
I can see this from road.
This station has Free bicycle rental.



I enjoy Jyomo train.
Return to Maebashi, I go to Maebashi park.
About 25minutes walking, arrive at Maebashi park.


This park has a pond, and flower gardens.
Current Azalea are in full bloom.
West side of this park, Tone river is existing.
Tone river is a big river.
Go south, I arrive at Gunma Prefectural Office.



Showa period office holds the drama museum at 2nd floor.
Charge is 500yen.
This museum shows the first Gunnma Governor Mr.Motohiko Katori.
This year NHK drama Hanamoyu play his history.

At his governor room has a big desk.
I can sit this desk and stuff takes a picture for me.
When you have a time, please wear his old governor uniform and take a picture.

Next I go to Ikaho hot spring.

This spring is the second famouse spring in Gunma prefecture.
I ride JR to Shibukawa station.
Ride a bus to Ikaho hot spring.
Bus riding is not comfortable, after 30minutes riding arrive at Ikaho hot spring.


I go to stone steps, go to Ikaho shrine.
From this steps you can see a wonderful view of Shibukawa.




I pray this shrine, then go to Roten buro.

After 15minutes walking, arrive at Roten Buro hot spring.



Entrance charge is 450 yen.
This hot water is Brown greenish color.
It is somewhat lukewarm hot water.
About 30persons are available to enter this bath.
Please enjoy Roten Buro bath.
