According to sources familiar with the matter,the government has a plan to establish an insurance scheme for compensating the damage of people with defective houses. The scheme is scheduled to be introduced in October thi syear.This is a deal done by both the government and the public sector,indemnity insurance companies.Unjder its insurance scheme, the compensation would be possible up to 12.5 billion yen.If the necessary compensation exceeds its amount, the government will shoulder the burden.Then, the people who have purchased the houses including a large scale condominium could be compensated by the scheme if a defect is found in their houses.Really,good news!

The government has started deliberating on helping a major audio and visual equipment maker Pioneer Corporation now facing difficulty in its business operation by pumping public fund into it. They are discussing the matter centering on an idea that the public fund of about 30 billion yen should be injected under the new scheme,which is aimed at helping businesses and to be established on the 30th of the month.On the other hand,a major semiconductor maker Elpida Memory,Inc. has already filed for public fund of 50 billion yen to the government and is entering into its full-fledged negotiations with concerned bodies and parties in the government.
