According to sources, the Health,Labor and Welfare Ministry has a plan to support the expansion of day nuseries located in the urban areas. There is now a situation that the number of children who are waiting for entrance into such preschools have recently been increasing.Against the backdrop of such situation, the ministry is going to revise some of its regulations. At present, if a certified day nursery sets up a branch facility whose fixed enrollment is more than 20 in a rental building, half the cost of rental fee should be basically shouldered by the government. The ministry will abolish this requirement on the fixed enrollment within the year.
