今日高知から松山に向かって車で山の中の道を通った。そのとき目に入る数字を３ケタに区切り、即座に発音する。例えば、電話番号で、５０９－９８７７　だと、８７７をとって、eigh hundred and seventy-seven と発声する。９８７７を発声する意味はあまりない。なぜなら、９と、８７７と分けて英語では発声するので。８７７で十分である。自分の前に止まった車のナンバーが４４－８７なら、４８７と発音する。これで発声に切れが良くなるはずである。

看板で多かったのは、病院の看板。○○産婦人科、○○整形外科。gynaecology,orthopendics.
ゆずり車線、登はん車線は、slower traffic lane か。　この先急カーブ：　a hairpin curve ahead. 安全運転：safe driving safety driving でもいいのかも知れない。このさき気をつけて：Beware ahead , Have an eye ahead,
スピード落とせ：slow down,農村活性化センターみかわ：the agricultural village revitalization center Mikawa。こういう固有名詞は頭から訳しておいていいのではないか。revitalization center of an agricultural village などと言わなくていので、意味を聞かれた時に、it is a revitalization center set up for revitalizing this agricultural village of Mikawa などといえばいいのだろう。三坂峠　Misaka Pass　標高７００ｍ　は　700 meters above sea leveｌ, 道の駅：Road station ,a station on the road などと意味を考えて言う必要はないと思う。まず第一頭が疲れるから。ふれあい国道３３号線：friendly national road route 33 か？

Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi had an interview with The Nihon Keizai Shimbun on Thursday and he said that China will urge North Korea to come back to the six-party talks table for the denuclearization of the country as soon as possible,regarding the recent declaration of North Korea that it will depart from the talks after the isuuance of the UNSC presidential statement condemning the North's recent launch of the rocket.Jiechi expressed his wish also that direct talk between the U.S. and North Korea would be favorable if realized.
