９月24日（木）上杉隆さんの『政権交代の内幕』（PHP研究所）を読む。いちばん印象的だったのは小沢一郎さんの選挙運動を描いた高知での応援風景だ。群衆のなかに入っていって徹底的に握手をしているから、候補者のところに行くまでに20分ほどかかっている。「大衆のなかに」という政治哲学を実行するのはそう簡単なことではない。銀座の「角匠」へ選挙支援のお礼に立ち寄る。浮世絵で知られる「政信」が、のちに戯作者となる山東京伝だとは知らなかった。その浮世絵を見せていただく。驚いたことに文化庁に浮世絵や古墳の壁画などを扱う担当者はたったひとりだという。フランスではオークションにかかった文化財に対して政府が没収権を持っているそうだ。もちろん同額を出すのだが、文化の海外流出をこうして防いでいる。日本はこうした分野でも遅れている。数寄屋橋の「佐藤養助」で「週刊朝日」の山口一臣編集長、O記者と打ち合わせ。すぐ横がバー「JINX」だったので顔を出したら「酒とつまみ」の大竹聡編集長と光文社のMさんがいたので、久しぶりに懇談。
