楽あれば苦あり 苦あれば楽あり

一昨日少し仕事を抜けさせてもらって

野球観戦に行きました

東京ドームで巨人ヤクルト戦

何年ぶりでしょうか？

随分久しぶりですが・・

最後に観たのはやっぱり東京ドームでした

松井がホームランを打ちましたので

大リーグに行く前の年ですね。

15年くらい経ちましたかね？

で調べて見ると

まぁびっくりですよね。

2002年ですから

あれから２３年も経った

って事になります。

恐ろしいですね

若い皆さんが気をつけてくださいよ。

あっと言う間に私のような年寄りになりますよ。

そんな話はともかく

何で行ったか

って言うと

友人から誘いがあったからです。

巨人戦チケットが手に入ったから

と

まぁしかし読売巨人軍ですから

昔から良く新聞の勧誘員は

巨人のチケットを持って夜やってきましたから

チケットがあるからと言われても

仕事を抜けてまで行こう

なんて思いませんよね。

だから言った訳です

私はもう目が悪くなって

野球のボールが見えない

と

すると友人は

大丈夫バックネットの後ろだから

と言いました。

私が

バックネットの後ろって言っても

どうせ上の方じゃないの？

って言ったら

前から７列目

だそうです。

それだと滅多に手に入りませんから

二つ返事で

行く

って事になりました。

確かに７列目の切符でしたが

前の方の席が空いてましたので

５回を終わってその席に移りました

前から３列目です。

まぁ凄い経験でしたね

そこだと選手が目の前にいますからね。

迫力が全く違います

それと変化球も分かりますので

結構試合を楽しむ事ができました。

持つべきものは友

つくづく思いましたね。

ただこの友人

酒飲みなんです。

ですから

観戦中何度も何度もハイボールを買って私に渡す物ですから

終る頃には

もうすっかりベロベロ

そんな状態で１時間以上も電車に乗って帰ってきた訳ですが

まあ辛かったですね。

なんせ座れないのに

すざましい睡魔でしたからね。

野球は楽しかったのですが

帰りは地獄

そうやって考えると

プラスマイナスゼロ

って感じですね。

ゴルフも楽しいのですが

終ってから激しい疲労の襲ってくる中運転して帰る訳ですから

結構辛いですね。

しかし昔の人は良く言ったものですね

楽あれば苦あり

と

ですから楽しい事は苦しい事とセット

こう思って

楽しい事を求めるのであれば

それに見合った苦痛

覚悟した方が良いでしょうね。

人生を長いスパンで見てもそれは言えますよね。

ただ野球観戦やゴルフと違うのは

先に苦しむ

苦あれば楽あり

長期で見るとそれが可能だって事です。

つまりゴルフは先に疲れてからプレーしよう

なんてできませんが

人生は

先に苦労して

老後は楽をする

こんな生き方が出来ますからね。

つまり先に苦労の貯金をする

って事です。

そして私のゴルフ仲間の方達を見ると

高齢になって好きなだけゴルフが出来る経済力の人たちの大半は努力の上に人生を築いてますね。

若い頃勉強を頑張ったり

スポーツを頑張ったり

そして仕事も一生懸命

私の友人はそんな人だらけです。

今回私を東京ドームに誘った友人も

学生の頃は苦学生でしたからね。

仕事も頑張ってましたから

最後は大きな会社の幹部にまで上り詰めました

お互い子供が小さい内は遊ぶ余裕はありませんので

会う事もありませんでした。

そうやって生きて来ましたから経済的に余裕ができて

今はもう好きな事だけやって生きられる

って感じです。

逆に人生を先に楽しんできたタイプの人たちは

歳取ってから苦しむ人

多いですね。

私達の入居者の中にも

若い頃は趣味優先で

仕事は中途半端

そうやってタラタラ生きてきて

最後は家賃が払えず退去

たくさんいましたね。

夜逃げすれば色んなものを残していきますので

その中にはスキーとか海外旅行の写真

みたいなものがたくさん散らばってる

って事が良くありましたからね。

まぁどんあ生き方をしようが勝手ですが

若い人はしっかり頭に入れた方が良いでしょう

楽あれば苦あり

古臭い諺？

いえいえ昔から未来まで

人間社会を支配する基本原理です。

 

 

 

The day before yesterday,

I took some time off work to go watch a baseball game.

It was a Giants vs. Yakult game at the Tokyo Dome.

How many years has it been?

It's been a long time, but the last time I watched it was at the Tokyo Dome. Matsui hit a home run, so it was the year before he went to the major leagues.

It's been about 15 years, I think?

I looked it up and it was pretty surprising.

It was 2002, so it's been 23 years since then. It's scary.

Young people, please be careful.

You'll be old like me in the blink of an eye.

Anyway, the reason I went was because a friend invited me.

He said that he got tickets to a Giants game,

but it is the Yomiuri Giants,

so newspaper salesmen had often come at night with Giants tickets

so even if he said he had tickets,

I don't think I'd take time off work to go.

That's why I said,

"My eyesight is getting worse and I can't see the ball,"

and my friend said,

"It's okay, it's behind the backstop."

I said, "But even if you say behind the backstop, you're probably higher up, right?"

and he said it was in the seventh row from the front.

It's rare to get a seat there,

so I said yes and went.

It was indeed a ticket for the seventh row,

but there was a seat available up front,

so I moved there after the fifth inning.

It was the third row from the front.

It was a great experience,

because the players were right in front of me.

The impact was totally different,

and I could see the breaking balls,

so I was able to enjoy the game quite a bit.

I really felt that I am happy because I have such friends

But my friend is a big drinker.

So he kept buying me highballs over and over again while watching the game,

and by the time it was over,

I was totally drunk.

It took me over an hour to get back on the train and it was tough.

I couldn't even sit down, but I was so sleepy.

Baseball was fun, but the way home was hell.

When you think about it like that,

To enjoy is always offset by agony

Golf is fun,

but after I finish, I have to drive home while feeling so exhausted,

so it's pretty tough.

as the old saying goes,

"There is pleasure, then there is pain."

So, fun comes with pain.

If you think like that and seek fun,

you should prepare yourself for the pain that comes with it.

You can say that in the long run too.

But what's different from watching baseball or golf is that you can suffer first,

there is pain and pleasure after that

It's possible in the long run.

In other words, you can't get tired fist and play golf after that

but in life,

you can suffer first and take it easy in retirement.

In other words, you save up for your hard work first.

And when I look at my golfing buddies,

most of them who have the financial means to play golf as much as they have built their lives on hard work.

When they were young,

They studied hard, they played sports hard, and they worked hard at their job.

My friends are all like that.

The friend who invited me to Tokyo Dome this time was also a struggling student.

He worked hard at his job,

and eventually rose to become an executive at a big company.

We didn't have time to meet when our children were young

Because he had lived like that,

He is financially comfortable now,

On the other hand, many people who enjoy life first end up suffering when they get older. Many of our tenants also prioritized hobbies when they were young and half-heartedly worked, and ended up being kicked out from apartment because they couldn't pay the rent.

When they run away in the middle of the night,

They left a lot of things behind,

and it's common to find a lot of things like photos of skiing or overseas trips pictures scattered around.

Well, it's up to you how you want to live your life,

but young people should keep this in mind
