水不足

いつもは賑やかな蛙の鳴き声も、ここ最近めっきり静かです。
そして山の緑も庭の植木も、心なしか精彩を欠いています。



昨夜は満月に誘われ、少しの間外に出ていました。

夜空の雲の間に、トロリとしたおぼろ月が漂って、
犬の遠吠えと、袂に虫の声が聞こえていました。

蒸し暑さの残る外気の彼方に、物の怪の息遣いを感じ、
生臭い風にのせて、魑魅魍魎のざわめきも聴き取れました。

心落ち着かせ、じっと目を閉じ息を抑え、身をかごませていると、
僅かながら蛙の声が聞こえたことに、安堵する自分がいました。

化石になりつつある車達（The cars that may fossilize）

職場近くにある農業倉庫の裏手で、６台のbeetleを発見しました。

エンジの個体は内部に草が蔓延り、白の個体はボディが崩れかけ、
緑色の個体は内装がヤレていました。

後２台は草に囲まれ近づけず、１台はシートで覆われていました。

．．．至れり尽くせりの最新型が溢れる車社会にあって、
この古い車達は、このまま化石となってしまうのかもしれません。





Behind the agricultural warehouse which is near the workplace, it discovered "Beetle=Käfer" of 6 bodies.

蒲の穂（Typha latifolia）

．．．古事記によると、大国主命は怪我をした因幡の白兎に、
蒲の穂にくるまると、花粉で止血できることを教えたようです。


農業水路で他の水草に混じって、蒲が生えていました。

以前は湿原に群生していて、珍しくもなかった植物ですが、

最近は身近で見かけることが、難しくなったように感じます。

スモークグレーな梅雨空の下、ビニールハウス群の一角で、

御年４１歳のbeetleと最新式のトラクターのツーショットです。

朝日が射すものの、辺りはぼやけた空間が覆い被さっています。

散歩を終え事務所に落ち着くと、汗ばみ疲れている私がいます。

今年の梅雨はムシムシと不快感ばかり募る、空梅雨に感じます。

粘りつく指(sticky-fingered)

夕べのガラス窓に、ヤモリがペタッとくっついていました。

指紋のような、幾何学模様につい見とれてしまいました。

ヤモリが壁にへばり付いていられる謎を、
米国の二つの大学の研究チームが解明中とか．．．

それにしても生物の進化の不思議には、今更ながら驚嘆です。

蒼鷺(Grey Heron)

ときどき事務所の前に現れる「アオサギ」は、

警戒心が強く、カメラを向けると直ぐ居なくなります。

この日は餌取りに夢中なのか、じっとして動じません。

．．．何とか一枚取れました。

夏至の夜のイベント

昨晩はイベント「candle-night」が、各地で催されたようです。

私もその事を教えて戴き、ご相伴させて貰いました。



偶には昔ながらに「蝋燭を灯す」．．．好いものでした。

蜘蛛の糸（The cobweb）

梅雨の晴れ間のある日のこと、
庭にある蘇鉄の葉に、蜘蛛の糸が張られていました。

其処へ藪椿からブナの木を経由して、
飛んできたアシナガバチが後ろ足を捕られました。

蜂にも命があり、それを餌とする蜘蛛にも命がある。
私は逃がす手伝いをすべきか否か、少し躊躇しました。

蜘蛛が不在だったので、その決断はすぐ下された。
私は木の枝を持ち、一本の蜘蛛の糸を断ち切りました。

A cobweb was set up to the leaf of the cycad which is in the garden.

The long-legged wasp has a life and the spider which feeds on it has a life, too.
I hesitated a little about whether or not I should help.
Because the spider was absence, the decision was given at once.
I had the branch of the tree and cut off one cobweb.

我田引水

．．．梅雨の晴れ間、隣の田圃に水が入り始めました。
それまでゆるゆる流れていた水は、ゴボゴボ音となります。

水稲栽培はある時期までは、田圃に水を必要とします。
様子を見計らい、堰板で水嵩を上げ水を入れています。

雨の少ない地域では、その事で争いも起きていたそうです。
他者より早く起き、田圃の見回りをして、我田引水をする。

水の乏しい地域に暮らす者は、豊富な地域の者と比べて、
そうした過去の経験からか、相対的に辛くあるように感じます。
