小さな創作家 ー研ぎ澄まされた感性

そしてもう一つ書いたのも、ネイチャーをテーマにした作品。

The bird flew of the tree in the air. It went to the ground and landed with a thud. Then it went digging for worms. Finally it found one. It was long and brown a light shade purples. It may sound disgusting to you but to the bird it was delicious. After it was done it trotted of to find a juicy morsel for dissert.

私の知らない単語もでてきて、どこで覚えたのかと思ってしまう。

自然に対する畏敬と素直に受け止める感性、いつまでも持ち合わせて欲しいと願う。

小さな創作家

小学３年生の娘のクラスでは、毎週火曜日にはwritingの宿題がある。

今回娘が書いたのは

The cat jumped of the tree to catch something. It was a toy mouse. His paw got the mouse. Using its sharp teeth he ripped the mouse in half. Not good! The fuss woke up the neighbors dog. The cat got scared. It had learned a lesson.

コドモの発想や表現力ってなんて自由なんだろうと思ってしまう。娘の表現力には、時々キラキラ光るものがあるらしくて、担任の先生は来年のクラスの子どもたちへの見本にとってくださっているらしい。

黒ネコのキキを我が家に迎えてから、娘の作品はネコが中心。そしてどの絵にも、黒いネコがちょこんと描かれている。

そういうわが娘をいとしく思ってしまう。

図書館でおもしろい本を見つける

最近になって、時間に余裕がでてきたので、コドモを連れて図書館に通う日が増えてきた。今回見つけたのは

• The brownbag lunch cookbook:Great choices for healthy lunches in Today's fast-paced work environment (アメリカ版お弁当の作り方の本。スープやサラダ、マフィン、グラノラバー、ディップの作り方から前日の残り物を利用したお弁当の作り方まで多彩な内容。さっそく、紹介されていたTahiniとバナナスライスとハチミツのサンドイッチを作ってみる）

 

• Are you smarter than you think?（どの分野のIntelligenceに秀でているかをテストする本。さっそく家族でやってみる。ｄreamで幾つの単語が作れるかなど　－　am, dear, mad,....)

 

• How to stop worrying and start living. （Dale Carnegieの別の本を今オーディオテープで聞いているので、この本も試しに読んでみることに。）
