今年もABC WIN seminarに参加してきました。
Geneva空港からバスで３−４時間かかる山奥にある、フランスのスキーリゾートVal d'Isèreで40年以上開催されている最も歴史ある脳血管内治療の学会です。
今回の目玉はなんといってもカナダ・トロント大学のVitor M Pereira先生のロボット手術のプレゼンでした。写真右上がそのロボットで、コントロールパネルを操作することでステントやコイルを挿入することが可能です。実際の脳動脈瘤患者さんの治療を行う動画が示され、間違いなく歴史的な発表であったと思います。まだかなり手作業の補助が必要ですが、今後このようなロボットによる脳血管内治療は遠隔医療としても発展していくものと思います。
それ以外にも新しい機器を使った先進的な発表が目白押しでした。同行した金城先生、千田先生とともにプログラムの合間にスキーも楽しめましたし、国内外の先生たちと交流を深めることもできました。
今後も世界の最新治療に関する知識を常にブラッシュアップし、今後の医療の展開に生かしていければと思います。
We attended ABC WIN seminar!
It was held in Val d'Isère ski resort, deep mountain in France, and this neuroendovascular meeting has the longest history in the world.
This years biggest topic was the world first Robot neuroendovascular therapy by Prof. Vitor M Pereira in University of Tronto.
Upper right panel was the picture of the Robot. Stent and coils were inserted by operating the control panel.
The real procedure for human cerebral aneurysm was shown, and that was an undoubtedly historical presentation. I think that this kind of robotic surgery would be progressing as a telemedicine although it required many manual assistances in the current version.
Other than this presentation, I learned from many interesting presentations with advanced new technologies.
We enjoyed international friendship with Dr. Kinjo and Dr. Chida.
I hope to advance our future treatment of cerebrovascular diseases by continuous learning of newest treatments in the world.
